I tried to break out of his grip so I'd roll away and try to take off again, but his grip was very strong and in no time, he pushed the syringe into me and emptied the entire thing in me.

As I got injected with a substance I didn't know, a sob bubbled in my throat because this was clearly the end, all my attempts to change my fate, all my struggle... everything is gonna end up with me being forced to still get married to Alex. This time, tears coursed down my cheeks as I silently wondered if Anna had been indeed right when she talked about everyone having their fates.

The guards rose to their feet and some other guards began to arrive in twos and threes after recieving a call that I've been found.

"Get the hell off the road, woman, so I can be on my way." The man growled but I found myself slurring out another plea right before I got pulled under, straight into an unconscious state.
