I knew that I might as well walk into a Den of lions right now because I didn’t need anyone to tell me that I was about to start playing with fire right now.

The smartest thing to do is to actually sit down and come up with an actual plan, and for this to work like I was currently envisioning in my head, then I’d have to carefully formulate the plan from top to bottom. That’s impossible to do right now with me standing outside Raya’s apartment while her husband was practically drinking me up with his eyes in a way that was making me feel extremely creeped out.

I ended up stepping away from him, and then I held a hand out when he tried stepping closer to me.

"Wait. We can’t do anything outside here, remember?" I told him and it was like that was when it registered in his head that we are currently in public where anyone could see him practically drooling over me. He cleared his throat and put in some distance between us.

"Call me an Uber." I informed him after a few moments and he furrowed his brows, appearing confused.

"I need an Uber that would take me to my next destination." I explained and he frowned.

"Where’s that?" He asked and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

"To a hotel, because, you know, I don’t have a place to stay any longer, thanks to you."

He let out a small shrug. "Look, I’ll really make it up to you, I promise. Let me drop you off at a hotel I usually frequent." He offered and I rolled my eyes, feeling beyond disgusted because this just proved that he really does cheat on his wife this whole time.

"Thanks for the offer, but I’ll pass. I’d rather go to a different hotel." I told him and he frowned, clearly displeased.

"Let me drop you off at least." He offered and I shook my head adamantly, refusing his offer once again.

The first thing I came to terms with as soon as I decided that I was gonna play him at his own game and reveal his true color to his wife, was that I was gonna be calling the shots from the very moment I decided to do this.

"Call me an Uber or I’ll just call one myself." I breathed out again and when he still remained in the same position, he pulled out the phone I got a few weeks ago from money I made from my babysitting job.

"Never mind, I’ll do it myself." I told him and he began to argue but I ignored him and called for an Uber anyway.

As the Uber pulled up, he offered to pay for the ride but I declined again, because I had money with me which I had been saving up.

He looked displeased when the Uber pulled up a few feet away.

"So how would we see each other? You told me that was alright with you, didn’t you? You told me the offer I made you sounded good." He reminded me and I had to force myself to not vomit on him right now.

"Yes, it was. But I still need a little breather first before anything else." I tell him, walking towards the Uber and dumping my things into the back of the car. He was beside me instantly, putting the rest of the things in there.

"So how would I see you next If I don’t even know where you’re going right now?" He demanded, frown etched deeply into his face. It was so clear that he wasn’t used to not getting his way, and I’d have laughed right now if I wasn’t supposed to be playing along right now.

"Well, Trevor; I believe you’ll find a way." I told him, and then I waved at him in response before sliding into the front seat of the car, and then it zoomed off.

I didn’t go to a hotel like I told him I was going to.

I ended up going to a very cheap motel, because now that I wasn’t living free of charge, I’d have to spend my money wisely. The money I managed to save up isn’t that much, but it was enough for me to start up somewhere.

I took a stroll around the small street that evening with a long coat draped around me, and I decided to ask around If I’d be able to rent a small studio apartment around here. Luckily for me; I did see a house with an empty studio apartment, however, the lady I met told me to come back in two days’ time because that was when the landlord would be available.

I thanked her before heading back to the motel and I made sure to get a little dinner along with me.

Later that night as I laid in the cold bed that night, I wrapped my arms around my belle and reminded myself that I was gonna be fine with my baby. This wasn’t like when I just arrived in town with no money and no idea of where I was heading to. This time was different, because I have some experiences with a few streets thanks to the amount of times Raya dragged me out to accompany her to different places. This time, I also have some money on me. It was enough to rent me an apartment and about two weeks’ worth of food.

The logical thing to do is to rent an apartment and find a job suitable for myself as fast as possible. I knew babysitting wouldn’t work any longer because I couldn’t possibly continue that business in my current state anyway, and most of my customers were Raya’s friends on top of everything. I didn’t want to keep being around things that would keep reminding me of her daily, because that would only keep hurting me.

I’d be lying if I claim I wasn’t hurt after she easily believed her husband over me. Her husband might have believed he was the smartest genius ever, but I was determined to play him at his own game this time.

I knew he was gonna find a way to contact me, and I believe before two days, I’d get a text from him. Like dogs after seeing a treat, most alphas are usually unable to stay away after already developing an attraction to someone, and in Trevor’s case, that was me.

Right before I fell asleep that night, a bunch of texts came in from an unsaved number.

You could have easily given the number to me before you left, but of course you just have to make me actually chase you before I get my mouth on it.
