"Welcome to my humble abode!" Kenny’s warm voice drawled as he held the glass door open for me. I tentatively stepped into the house and felt my breath caught in my throat at the sheer beauty of the interior of the house. It was exquisite and luxurious, and I instantly felt ridiculous in my cheap clothes and worn out shoes.

I instantly felt self conscious as he led the way into a beautifully decorated sitting room that oozed so much of his personality. It was a blend of warm sunshine in a room, and cool artworks were on the wall.

My mind returned to the fact that he was younger than I am but it already seemed like he had his entire life together, while it was the complete opposite for me.

I let out a slow exhale as I turned around to see him offering me a warm, sincere smile. I couldn’t help but smile back at him, heartbeat accelerating a little.

"Your house is so beautiful." I breathed out and he ducked his head in embarrassment.

"Ah, thank you. My mum assisted in decorating it." He said as he waved me over to one of the couches and I sank into the soft cushions.

"What would you like to drink?" He asked, heading to a nearby bar and I swallowed emptily as I acknowledged the fact that he was quite loaded than I expected.

"Water is fine." I told him and after a little while, he brought it to me and I tried to ignore the zing I felt when our hands touched.

"So, Rory... you’re doing okay, right? I can’t imagine how tonight must have felt for you." He murmured as he sank into the couch next to mine, giving me more than enough space which I really appreciated.

"It was scary." I ended up admitting and an angry expression crossed his face.

"I wished I had broken his leg before he managed to escape." He admitted and I chuckled softly.

"You did more than enough. You’re my hero tonight." I informed him and he beamed, eyes twinkling beautifully.

He was a really beautiful alpha.

"Since we’ve had dinner, all that’s left for you tonight is a shower, then sleep, right?" He asked and I nodded in response. He was on his feet next; telling me he’d be right back.

With him gone, I let my eyes wander around thoroughly, zeroing in on the pictures on the walls, pictures in him growing up, pictures of him accepting multiple awards and also pictures of him with the little girl he brought along with him to the restaurant that one time.

"Where’s your little niece?" I asked when he returned with an armful of clothes and his eyes landed on the pictures I had been staring at.

"Oh, she’s with my mom. She’d be back in a week." He responded before dumping the clothes on the couch.

It contained towels, lots of them, and some shirts as well.

"It’s so cool that you’re actually raising her yourself." I told him and he hummed.

"After my sister died in an accident, her boyfriend didn’t want to raise her so I instantly opted to do it. I love her like she’s my own child." He paused for a moment. "My mum actually assisted in the bringing up of Anna, but I’m her main guardian, so..." he ended the sentence with a shrug and I felt something squeeze tightly within my chest.

"I’m so sorry about your sister." I whispered quietly as I got to my feet but he waved me off and told me he was alright now, unlike five years ago.

"That’s why I told you I understood the stereotypes around alphas because I know the amount of bullshit I’ve witnessed." He said with a laugh and I laughed along with him.

It was at the tip of my tongue to tell him about how I got pregnant but I ended up refraining from doing that since the one person I trusted with the truth ended up telling me she knew I was just like other male omegas.

Kenny handed me the heap of clothes and offered to show me the room I’d be staying in for now.

"Are these your shirts?" I asked as I pulled out one of the large shirts poking out of the heap of clothes. He was blushing when I glanced at him.

"Ah... I just thought..." he trailed off at first.

"I figured since this is a new place, your omega might not be comfortable enough, so I felt like my scent might be able to help you. And you can use most of this stuff to create a nest so you’d be able to sleep better..." He ended up trailing off again, averting his gaze and scratching the back of his neck. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"I’m sorry, I just jumped into conclusions when I should have asked questions first. You don’t have to use my shirts because you might not even like my scent. you can only use the clean towels, or not, whichever you like, I was just being..."

He was starting to ramble when I remained silent.

I ended up reaching for his arm, and he instantly trailed off.

"This is so thoughtful of you, Kenny." I finally admitted. I was silent this whole time because I was finding it hard to process how he was so in tuned to what I needed without me needing to ask.

When I was with Alex, he always made me feel ridiculous about nesting, and he believed it should be a girl’s thing and not a boy’s thing. But Kenny has provided things I could use to nest and he already knew an alpha’s scent being added to an omega’s nest was next to perfection.

How is Kenny this perfect?

He huffed out a relieved breath, staring down at me and I offered him a smile which he returned. He was tall, but he didn’t tower over me too much. My head was almost coming up to his shoulders.

He showed me to a bedroom after that, and as I was about to close the door, he urged me to return back once I was done showering so we could hang out and get to know each other even more. A wide smile was on my face when I finally closed the door.
