As soon as my fangs sank into the soft skin of Jason’s throat, my eyes fluttered closed and a hum began to vibrate inside my chest. My teeth pierced through veins and blood flooded my mouth just as the inside of my heart whitened out, intensifying enough to envelop my eyesight as well. But I refused to break the bite and at the back of my mind, I was hoping Kenny was yet to break out of this bite because if he does, this wouldn’t work. In all honesty, this plan sounded ridiculous to me.

I had discarded ir at first but on remembering how I had literally been able to successfully teleport all the way from that thick forest to this hospital room, then it means wvsb the impossible was starting to be possible. So who’s to say our bites won’t help Jason and move him away from the brink of death?

That’s the exact reason why I didn’t question that suggestion that had suddenly materialized in my mind and has instead focused on convincing Kenny to do this with me. Kenny had been rightfully skeptical but at the end of the day, he gave in to my request and I was relieved about that. At the end of all of this, I was gonna explain everything to him and Jason- because I do believe this bite is gonna save Jason no matter what.

From the furthest part of my mind, I heard a loud gasp. It was still white and blinding in my mind, but after a sharp sneeze accompanied that gasp, the whiteness began to dim away almost immediately and the blood suddenly dried up in my mind. That was when I realized that the bite had caught. I could feel it in my mind. I could feel Jason in my mind right now.

My eyes instantly flew open just as my fangs slipped from Jason’s throat and as I pulled away to peer into Jason’s face, my breath was bated as my gaze focused on Jason’s face. His eyelids were fluttering and my breath ceased in my throat as I stared down at him. I glanced over at Kenny for a moment the same time he glanced at me, his lips a little bloodied and I knew the bond must have caught on his side as well.

In the very next moment, the sound of a loud gasp made us tear our gazes from each other’s faces to glance down at Jason’s whose eyes were wide open while his chest moved fast in sharp inhales and exhales. My mouth fell open in utter shock and disbelief and no sound was able to come out due to how shocked I currently feel. Kenny seemed to be in the same shocked state as I was because his mouth was parted in shock without a sound coming out.

In the next moment, Jason was sneezing strongly as he struggled to sit up. Jenny rushed to help him, but to my utter shock, he held a hand up and managed to get into a sitting position on his own. I remained hovering over him, still in immense shock.

Throughout the time I was abducted, he and Kenny were all I could think about. When Alex told me he shot Jason and killed him, I was so heartbroken that I cried so much. I spent every moment after that hoping and hoping that he wasn’t going dead and had managed to survive that gunshot, even though I was scared shitless at the back of my mind.

When I first checked Jason, I didn’t know how, but I felt something inside me that told me that he was on the brink of death. And after that, I couldn’t remember much till this very moment that Jason and I were staring at each other.

"Oh god." I choked out, and that was when I realized tears were rolling down my cheeks.

Jason was blinking continuously, like he couldn’t believe his eyes. I watched as he glanced over at Kenny who was silently crying.

Jason reached out, hand shaking a little as it connected with my cheek. His thumb dragged over a tear track, smearing the wetness a little as he spoke.

"No tears." He forced out, voice gruff, thick and oh so familiar, it opened up the dam inside of me and a sob broke out of my throat as I threw myself into his arms in the very next moment.

He gripped me tightly, and his entire body shook.

"How are you here? Are you real? Did I really die?" He whispered, clearly still in disbelief and I cried harder.

When I pulled out of the hug, Jason tugged Kenny down on the bed, knocking the breath out of him as he hugged him tightly while peppering kisses over his wet cheeks and asking him to stop crying.

"How is this... what’s happening?" Jason asked this time after tugging me into another long hug and actually licking my tears away.

Like an actual animal.

"You were on the brink of death. The doctor had said you had a few hours left and there was nothing else that could be done." Kenny began to explain to Jason, perched beside the bed. I hadn’t moved from my spot across Jason’s laps, he hadn’t let me when I tried to do that and he had nuzzled my throat while telling me he wanted to be glued to me forever.

"That bastard Alex. He’s the one who shot me. Then he took Rory away..." Jason trained off, anger burning in his eyes as his hold around my waist tightened in possessiveness.

"I’m here now." I quickly assured him, not wanting him to start stressing himself again and he nodded stiffly just as Kenny continued.

"But then Rory arrived here via teleportation. He actually teleported!" Jenny continued and I blushed a little when Jason glanced at me and then I shrugged.

"I still don’t know how I did it. I only focused on your presence which still lingered in my mind, then I followed it all the way here." I explained, eyes locked with Kenny as I spoke.

"You didn’t tell me Jason only had a few hours left when I got here first." I added and Kenny sighed.

"That’s because I didn’t know how to. I was still heartbroken and breaking the news to you felt like..." he began and I nodded, reaching out to squeeze his hand tightly.

"I understand you, love. Come to think of it, I think the pain you experienced right after you were told Jason had a few hours left to spend on earth was what made your presence enough for me to be able to feel it all the way to where I and Ace had been trapped at." I reasoned and Kenny glanced around.

"I don’t see him around. I think he left at some point." Kenny muttered and I glanced around before shrugging.

"To definitely give us some privacy." I added just as Jason glanced between the two of us.

"Who’s Ace?"

"The one who assisted me in escaping and didn’t turn me in after catching me like he was supposed to." I explained as my hand glided over Jason’s shoulders. I couldn’t believe this was really happening. That i really hadn’t lost him like I had dreaded so much.

"So, after Rory arrived, he felt that you were in danger anyway without me having to tell him, then he said we had to save you. I was honestly skeptical when he said we had to bite you. But at the end of the day, it ended up working!" He continued and when they both glanced at me, color flooded my face as my chest swelled with pride at the look of admiration in their eyes right now.

"Jason tentatively felt up the bite marks on his throat and sighed, a small smile around his lips.

"I wished I could have bitten you two first, but I don’t mind it going this way. I’m glad you both saved me, and that I opened my eyes to two of my mates and not just one. Because in all honesty I was prepared to give up my life for you, Rory." He revealed and I felt my insides do a few cartwheels just as Kenny nodded in agreement to what Jason had just said.

"And so did I. We really tried all we could, now, I’m just happy we’re complete right now." Kenny sighed out and I genuinely couldn’t agree more. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"Wait, what about the kids?" I asked, feeling myself start to tense up while staring at Jenny.

"They’re over at my mum’s house. I spoke to them this morning and they’re fine. They just miss you terribly. And they miss Jason as well. They miss me too because even though I was unharmed and not abducted, I was too busy to go see them." He explained and briefly leaned over to nuzzle his throat, feeling happy and filled up on the inside.

Kenny was the one who broke the silence.

"Wait... Jason, You have a scent again!"
