I felt immense shock course through every inch of my body, the grip on the gun I was holding tightened and I began to slowly press down on the trigger, but then Anna stepped closer, turning the safety off and positioning her hand straight.

"I mean it, I’m going to shoot if you don’t step away from him this instant!" She cried out loudly, hands shaking a little this time. She looked very angry, and I haven’t forgotten when she pulled the trigger a few minutes ago. It’s the exact reason why we’re here right now.

"Fuck you, Anna. We really shouldn’t have let you come here with us." I bit out and she let out a laugh and a scoff.

"No, fuck you. I should have left you both to rot away in that cell, and never forget that I’m the reason you’re both hee today. I gave you the address, remember? At the end of the day, you two ended up needing me more than I needed you." She continued and I growled before turning my attention back to Alex who had been silent this whole time. He had loosened his hold on Kenny’s throat and had completely stopped punching him, but he was still very still because he knew how much of a good shot I was.

From the other side of this opening, a low groan caught my attention and my head instantly wgot whipped sideways and my eyes widened in the very next moment on realizing that it was Rory. He was starting to wake up. He let out another pained groan and I felt something lurch within me. I want to go meet him right now but I also wanted to kill Alex right now. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Because I was slightly distracted, Alex took that opportunity to elbow me hard in my chest and as I doubled over, he elbowed me right in my face and shoved me sideways before rolling off Kenny. He was rushing towards Rory in the very next minute. Panic instantly clawed inside me and even with the piercing pain shrugging through my whole inside, I hurried after Alex and junked over him so we both fell and rolled on the ground. It was a mess of punches and kicks after that, and after I successfully got a hold of the gun once again, I pointed it down at Alex after trapping him underneath me. I laughed in his face, feeling extremely amused.

"After everything, I’ve got you here again." I sneered at his panting, angry face but before I could pull the trigger, a screech pierced through the air and on glancing sideways, I realized Kenny was struggling to get Anna’s gun away from her. The gun ended up flying from their grasp, and as the two of them rushed towards it, a punch to my chest made me double over as everything blackened out around my eyesight. When my eyes cleared again, Alex was standing above me, gun pointed right at me. My eyes darted sideways and to my shock, neither Anna or Kenny had the gun, it was nowhere to be found.

"Looking for this?" Alex drawled, revealing the exact gun I had just been searching for with my eyes. He pulled it out from his pocket and shook it a little; and then he flashed me a grin.

"Let me give me a little recap after you passed out like a fucking hitch." He sneered before pressing the tip of the gun into my forehead.

"After you passed out, your boyfriend managed to get the gun, but before he could do anything, I threatened him that I was gonna shoot you and Rory, and he ended up surrendering the gun without putting up any sort of fight, like an extremely good boy. It was sexy to be honest. Anyways, that leaves me with you, and now I’m wondering if I should finish you off right now or not. You’ve been a pain in my ass my whole life, but I’m ready to spare your life if you get on your knees and beg me prettily." He laughed loudly at the end of his sentence and u noticed Anna laughing as well, like he had just said the funniest thing ever. Kenny was still on his knees, a very worried expression across his face.

I stared deep into Alex’s eyes and spat in his face, pleased that it got into his eyes.

"I’d rather die instead!" I growled out at once and the smile on his face slowly grew, and then he shook his head before wiping his eyes with the back of his palm, and then he was back handing me with that same palm.

But I didn’t even flinch. Because I didn’t feel it at all.

That made me realize that my entire body had gone numb.

"Always so stupid, Jason." He sighed before clicking his tongue. "And that’s just too bad. If you hadn’t been so egotistical, you and I would have remained friends forever, then I’d have happily let you share Rory with me. We’d have fucked him together and all."

He continued and I felt bile rise within me.

"Don’t speak about him like that!" I warned lowly before reaching up to kick him between the legs. And as he doubled over, I rolled out from underneath him and tried getting the gun from his grasp, but his hold was very tight and a part of my brain reminded me that with my wolf gone completely, I wasn’t as strong as I used to be.

Alex and I struggled for the gun, till the gun was pointed at my chest and I was trying to tilt it away so it could point at the sky. But Alex was just too strong and the more I struggled, the more I felt myself slowly grow weak. The sound of a gun going off echoed loudly, that it rang within my head over and over again. I didn’t realize what happened at first, till I felt liquid start to seep into my clothes. I blinked slowly and glanced down just as Alex rose to his feet, and I realized that I had just been shot.

In the next moment. Kenny was screaming loudly and rushing towards me just as I crumbled to the ground. I still felt extremely numb, so the pain of the gun shot was still yet to register within me. But the effect was still the same on my body because my eyes began to go dim. Kenny was crying when I glanced up at him and that was when a stab of pain shot through my chest.

"I’m sorry." I whispered, wishing I could reach up and cup his face but my hand felt too weak for that.

"No, no. Shh." Kenny whispered through his tears as he tried to stop my wound from bleeding. This was the first time I’d be witnessing him this broken down and I hated that it was happening because of me.

From the side of my eyes, I noticed Alex moving. He just pocketed his phone and then he was bending and picking up Rory who passed out again. Anna was beside him, helping him with the guns.

I wanted to run after them as they turned to leave but I couldn’t move. I managed to get the words out to Kenny, but they were weak to my own ears.

"Go after them. Don’t let them take our mate."

But Kenny only cried harder and refused to leave my side, and after a few minutes, I slowly passed out. A few words kept echoing within my head over and over again as everything finally turned into pitch darkness.

"Don’t leave me, please."

Alex’s pov

The doors got pulled open and I headed straight to the room that had been arranged since this morning. If that stupid Jason hadn’t shown up, this would have been over and I’d have already become the most powerful person in the world. But at the end of the day, despite how hard he tried to stop me, I was here right now, and with the only thing I needed, Rory.

As soon as I dumped him over the ledge and weaved the ropes over him, he stirred awake and flinched on noticing me. I almost laughed in his face right now.

"Where are we?" He asked slowly, voice hoarse from how hard he cried when I tried to have fun with his body last night. At the end of the day, I didn’t end up fucking him like I had hoped because he just wouldn’t stop crying and I had thought I’d be able to go through with it, but I ended up changing my mind and decided on knocking him out with a shot. Which was why he slept through the fight with Jason whereby I used him as a shield.

"Let me tell you a secret. Did you know that I just shot Jason dead about thirty minutes ago after he returned to save you?"

"What?" He cried out loudly, shock clearly coursing through his entire body. I rolled my eyes and gave him a run down of all that happened since he got kidnapped. By the time I was done, he was furious and so heartbroken that it was comical to me. I made sure to remind him that this was all his fault for running from me years ago.

"Fuck you, Alex! You monster!" He cried out, fists clenched as angry tears rolled down his cheeks. I snorted and picked up the knife I needed for this whole process of passing his blood into my body.

And then I stabbed it into his chest, enjoying the ear splitting scream he let out next.
