As soon as Trevor pulled away from me, I began to chant a note of thanks to the moon goddess underneath my breath. Trevor looked like he wanted to kill me right now and he kept swearing underneath his breath.

"This isn’t over." He seethed through gritted teeth and he glared daggers at him as I bent down to pick up my pants and ribbed briefs.

He let out a low scoff, and then he shook his head before exiting the kitchen when another series of knocks rang out. I let out a shaky breath once alone, legs suddenly feeling like jelly and the urge to just collapse on the ground right now consumed me with full force. Everything inside of me was screaming at me to tell Raya about what had just happened between her husband and I but because I knew how much she loved her husband, I didn’t want it to be that i’d be the reason she dumped his ass. However, today’s encounter felt like a last straw to me.

I sucked in a deep breath just as voices began to drift into the kitchen from the sitting room. "Didn’t you check up on him? I think something happened to him!" She told her husband and I awkwardly cleared my throat again, trying to slip out of her grip.

"I’m fine, seriously." I tell her, desperately hoping that she’d believe me.

I badly wanted to tell her the truth but with her husband present right now, I felt extremely tongue tied.

"I- I... yes." I stammered and he chuckled before stepping into the kitchen.

He snickered. "But it’s the truth. You’re guilty right now. Admit it."

Raya stated between the both of us, clearly confused.

"I have nothing to be guilty about." I gritted out, feeling extremely angry that he was playing some sort of dumb game right now.

"Oh, yeah? So how do you explain the fact that you’re always been trying to seduce me this whole time? Huh? That should honestly explain your guilt. Anyone in your shoes would feel guilty about betraying a friend who had helped you out immensely." He continued and my mouth fell open, eyes widening in utter disbelief.

My heart fell into my stomach and my knees instantly felt weak.

"What? How fucking dare you? How dare you spin this around? You’re the one who’s always been coming on to me this whole time!" I spat out, eyes blazing with anger but he only snickered, head thrown back.

My heart was pounding hard as I glanced at Raya and it felt like she froze up from shock. When she came to, her eyes got clouded with so many emotions at once.

I stepped closer to her, breath bated.

"Raya, please, you know I’d never do something like that–" I began but she shook her head and held a hand out and my heart broke into a thousand pieces at once.

My angry gaze fell on Trevor and I snapped.

"Why are you lying? I never came unto you, you’re a shameless liar who’s angry that I didn’t let him hit! You even tried raping me this afternoon after I literally rejected the money you offered me. Is this punishment? To turn your wife against me?" My voice shook at a point and Trevor rolled his eyes.

"All of this just proved my point. You’re trying to lie now but it’s not gonna work. If I indeed came unto you, why didn’t you tell Raya? She’s your friend, no?"

I spluttered.

"I- I didn’t say anything yet because..."

"Because you’re a fucking liar! You told me you hated her and even asked me to chase her away and get married to you instead but I don’t like boys to begin with so I found your statement ridiculous." He continued, cooking up lies after lies and I was beyond flagbastared.

By the time I tried saying something else, Raya cut me off.
