"I- I don’t know." I admitted quietly before glancing up at Kenny who was rapping his fingers against the counter. He exhaled slowly as our eyes locked and then he let out a low chuckle.

"That’s funny because... I also don’t know as well." He revealed quietly and once again, I realized that we were utterly fucked.

I stopped slicing the vegetables and walked towards him to pause in front of him. His hand cupped my face and his thumb brushed over my chin, and a rush of feeling flooded my lungs as his eyes bored into mine.

"I don’t think I want to imagine him leaving our lives. I’m sorry." I whispered, my heart clenched tightly in my chest and my eyes filled up with tears. Kenny leaned down and kissed my eyelids before the tears could fall, and something familiar filled up his eyes as he spoke.

"It’s okay, don’t beat yourself up. I’ve also been feeling conflicted, because I don’t think I want him to leave either." He admitted quietly and my eyes widened in shock, which made him chuckle again before he combed my hair pot of my face.

"Does that make us bad people? Do you feel... sidelined or something?" I asked tentatively. That’s the last thing I’d want Kenny to feel. And if Kenny didn’t like Jason, then I was ready to send him away even though it would hurt.

Kenny shook his head. "No, doll. I never felt that way." He revealed and I exhaled again before slumping against his chest, suddenly feeling drained.

"What do you suggest we do? I haven’t the slightest idea, and I’m not even certain he’d ever want something serious with us, knowing how he used to be." I whispered softly as Kenny’s arms came around me.

"That means we really are fucked, aren’t we?" He snickered softly and I couldn’t agree more.

Today, the whole family was out on a date. I was helping Anna tie up her hair so she could get in the ocean with Jason, Kenny and Niko. Her swimsuit was decorated with cute bows and it suited her well. She flashed me a pleased grin once I was done with her hair.

"Thank you, Rory."

I stroked her cheek, a fond feeling gathering in my chest as I watch her sprint towards the ocean. She suddenly stppped and sprinted back to smack a kiss against my cheek, hands briefly wrapped around me.

"I love you, Rory."

She left before I could respond, but I called out a response to her, watching as she giggled and waved at me before joining the rest of the guys in the ocean. Anna was cute like that, always acting as her heart leads her, and she was very dare to me. I honestly couldn’t wait to watch her grow into a beautiful, confident woman.

I whipped out my phone and began to make videos of them playing around in the water. Niko had never looked as happy as he looked right now with Jason carrying him on his shoulders as they all jumped around in the water. Letting Jason come into his life was the best thing I had done for him, and I was grateful to that doctor for suggesting that.

They all looked so happy and perfect right now. I felt very happy right now as well, and I’d have been in the water with them right now but someone had to be the sensible and sane one out of the whole bunch.

That night after returning home from the beach With the kids worn out and sleeping on their feet, I didn’t take long to fall asleep after taking a shower. But then I had an unexpected dream, one that left me gasping with shock on jolting awake. I didn’t even realize I had screamed till Jason petted my face and hovered over my face, softly asking if I was okay.

Seeing his face after dreaming about him dying made me burst into tears before I could stop myself, and instead of asking questions, he just tugged me into his arms and shushed and consoled me till I fell asleep in his arms this time. Kenny even woke up at a point but Jason assured him he had it handled.

However the next morning, all I could think about was that particular dream, and since I didn’t want to tell Jason about it, I decided on explaining it to Kenny because it also involved him.

In the dream, a writing suddenly appeared on the wall, just as I was about to hang up a portrait of Kenny, Jason and myself, and the writing basically said that Kenny was also my fated mate like Jason is, just as Kenny is also Jason’s mate. And that Jason had limited time left because his wolf would soon go to sleep forever and whenever that happens, it kills the owner of the wolf. But that Kenny and I had the power to turn the situation around by biting Jason together as his fated mates... else Jason was gonna die.

Kenny was too stunned to speak after I explained the dream to him, then he tugged me into the spot beside him on the couch just as I began to blabber.

"But I- I don’t want to tell him this. Because if we bite him and his wolf wakes up, he won’t have any reason to be around us then he’d leave us." I muttered, chest heaving and hands trembling.

"It’s selfish of me, but I just... I just don’t want him to leave our lives, you know?" I whispered quietly while tears rolled down my cheeks. Kenny tugged me over his laps and made me scent him till I managed to calm down. Then he cupped my face as he spoke.

"I think you should tell him though. If we truly like him, we’re not supposed to selfishly withhold that information just because we don’t want him to leave. It’s his choice to choose to leave after his wolf wakes up, or to choose to stay. That would prove if he actually cares or not." He explained and as expected, he made a lot of sense.

"If he chooses to leave after we make him get his wolf back, then so be it." Kenny continued and I slowly exhaled as I nodded.

"You’re right." I mumbled quietly.

"But if he chooses to stay, that would definitely be a good thing because clearly, we don’t want to lose him." Kenny continued and I nodded again, heart feeling heavy as I leaned against him and tightly clutched his hands.

That night, Kenny suggested we table it to Jason In order to not let ourselves keep living in suspense, because he knew how much I could overthink. Which was why as soon as the kids retired, we moved to the balcony where I felt it was best we had this conversation.

Jason asked if I was okay and I felt my heart flip around as I went ahead to explain the dream I had last night to him, not wanting to leave anything out. By the time I was done, I expected Jason to be very ecstatic and hyped because this was what he wanted so badly from the very beginning, to get his enigma to finally wake up. But instead, he appeared to be sad right now.

After a few minutes, he finally spoke. "I’m not sure I want my wolf to wake up anymore."

My eyes widened and I exchanged a look with Kenny.

"You don’t?" Kenny asked and Jason nodded tensely, dragging his hand over his face.

"Why though?" I whispered, breath bated.

"Because if that happens, I won’t have any excuse to still be able to hang around you two every second of the day." He revealed and my mouth fell open from shock.

After a bit, Jason continued; eyes locked with mine. "I’ve actually fallen for the two of you, you know?" He let out a ragged chuckle and I was still too stunned to do a thing.

"I fell for you two when I least expected it. And now all I want is something serious with you two. Something that won’t be temporary. I want it all with you two, to be official, to officially claim you two, to be able to tell you how much you two make me feel without being afraid of how that might scare you two off." He looked between Kenny and I as he went on and on, and Kenny was clearly as shocked as I currently was.

That was the last thing we expected to hear from Jason tonight.

"If you decide to not want anything to do with me after this little confession, that’s fine by me. But at least I’m happy I’ve finally let that out because it has been eating at my insides for a while now." Jason continued and that snapped me out of my shocked state.

After that, Rory and I went ahead to explain just how much we had also fallen for him and how we feared we were the only ones who felt like this towards him, and by the time we were done, my cheeks were wet with tears while my heart felt like it might burst out of my chest due to happiness.

Kenny spoke next, voice thick with emotions. "So does this make us all boyfriends?"

Jason shook his head, tugging us further into his side. After the tight hug we shared about five minutes ago, he refused to let us out of his arms.

"Hell no. I’ll definitely have to officially ask you two out in a very romantic way."
