Jason? Alpha Jason? What the hell is he doing here and how did he even find this place?

A wave of anger instantly consumed my chest. This was exactly what I had been worried about since the moment we crossed paths and I briefly wondered if he was already aware that he had a child with me, and if that was the reason he was here right now. He couldn’t be hers because he wanted me back, not after he rejected me in the past. So why the hell is he here?!

"Sir, do we let him in...?" I got pulled out of my thoughts by that question and I vehemently shook my head.

"Absolutely not." The fondness and sharpness of my voice made the nanny’s eyes widen and I instantly felt bad. I never raised my voice on a normal day so her shock was understandable.

"Okay, sir, we’re gonna ask him to leave." The nanny explained and I nodded again.

"And ask him to never return no matter what." I added before whirling around and heading for the kitchen, feeling anger curl inside every inch of my body. On getting into the kitchen, I instantly leaned against the counter to catch my breath a little.

Coming across Jason two days ago made me think of a lot of things which haven’t crossed my mind in years, and I hated him even more because of that. Last I remembered, Jason was gonna marry a Princess the very next day, so why the hell is he here? What does he want?

After downing some water, I managed to calm myself down a little, and then I decided to go over to Kenny.

Kenny was in his office here in our large home, and I didn’t like to disturb him whenever he was working, but I felt like I was about to combust from anger and restlessness.

Kenny and I decided to move in shortly after we fully bared our hearts to each other and confessed our true feelings of how we were both in love with each other, and that was six months after I gave birth to Nikolai. After we moved in, we’ve been living together ever since. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

I quietly opened the door of his office, stepping inside but lingering at the doorway. The office was furnished with things that he needed relating to his line of work, and as I stared at him right now, at the look of concentration on his face as he tapped away on the MacBook, I almost exited the office because I knew he didn’t like getting disturbed while working because his focus was very fickle.

Before I could leave, he noticed my presence and his eyes lit up. That instantly made me feel giddy, knowing that it’s been years but he still always looks happy to see me, equally made me happy. He beckoned me over and I hurriedly crossed the distance between us till I was standing beside him. He rolled his chair sideways and wrapped his arms around my waist, tugging me between his legs and pressing a kiss against my hip bone.

"Something the matter, baby?" He asked and I let out a loud sigh before shaking my head.

"Not really, it’s been sorted out already." I admitted and he hummed before tugging me downwards till I was straddling his legs. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and snuggled against his throat, breathing his scent in and instantly feeling my body sag against his own.

"What got you worked up?" He asked after a minute and I hummed absentmindedly before he gently pulled me away from his throat to stare at my eyes.

"Jason showed up." I reluctantly admitted and at once, Kenny’s jaw clenched with anger. He was just as angry at Jason like I was with him.

"He did? How did he find this place?" He carefully asked and I shook my head. "I genuinely have no idea." I admitted and Kenny puffed out a slow breath.

"You had a conversation with him? What did he say to you?" He asked and I rolled my eyes as I shifted around atop him.

"Of course not. I didn’t meet up with him, I asked them to order him to leave." I revealed and Kenny relaxed a little.

"Good, if he shows up here again, I’ll have a conversation with him and ask him to leave us alone." He suggested and I hummed.

"Or we could call the police, something would definitely work..." I was still talking when a knock echoed off the door.

"Yes?" Kenny called out after a moment and the nanny called out from the other side.

"Sir, Alpha Jason is still outside and he refused to leave without seeing Rory."

Kenny badly wanted to go contront Jason to find out what his problem was, but I didn’t think that was important because I had a feeling that would easily morph into a fight, knowing how Alphas are prone to violence. I knew Kenny was very rational compared to other Alphas, which is why I didn’t want Jason to feel like he could intimidate Kenny.

As we stood in front of the screen showing the front of the gate of our apartment, we could see Jason staring at our gate with a frown, clearly waiting to be let in. Kenny scoffed beside him, clearly annoyed.

"I can’t believe he seriously believed you’d actually want to have a conversation with him." Kenny commented as I picked up the phone connected to the one outside the gate. After putting a call through to it, I watched as Jason accepted it almost immediately.

"If you don’t leave, we’re gonna call the police." I said quietly, watching as Jason’s frown instantly deepened.

"I just want to have a conversation." He gritted out and Kenny scoffed beside me again.

"I’m not interested, so get lost and don’t come back." I snapped out, swiftly ending the call before he could say anything in response.
