"Baby... that’s different." I ended up sneezing at this point as I spoke but she eyed me skeptically, but I was over here wondering if she thought it was weird that Jason and I used to kiss. From how she sounded, it was clear she had seen Jason and Rory together as well. So does she think three people being together was normal? Not that it wasn’t normal, but it wasn’t the traditional relationship out there and I don’t want her to get the wrong idea. I don’t want her to judge as well.

"How is it different? You mean it feels nice?" She asked and I shook my head before dragging my hand over my face.

"You know what, baby? Why don’t we talk about this later?" I asked and she sighed as she nodded.

"Fine. I don’t wanna talk about kissing anyway. But are you mad at me? For punching someone at school? And what should I do tomorrow? I might puke if that boy kisses me tomorrow." She whined, placing her legs on my desk and wrapping her hands around her knees.

"Of course I’m mad at you." I said sternly, but she could tell that I wasn’t. I had been the one to teach her things like self defense after all.

"I’m a little mad at you though." I said as I picked her off the desk and discarded her in my laps and she giggled, kicking her legs out as I continued.

"I’d have applauded you if you had thrown a punch to defend yourself. But you said the kid asked you if he could kiss you first, and you said you gave him permission, right?" I continued and she nodded reluctantly.

"So you shouldn’t have punched him. But he’s wrong for trying to blackmail you with this, and asking for another kiss in return. So I’m going to give your teacher a call about this, so when he goes to her after you refuse to kiss him, she’d have been aware. How’s that?" Once I was done speaking, she threw her arm around her neck and kissed me on the cheek before jumping off my laps.

"You’re the best, Kenny."

I snorted. "You said this same thing to Rory and Jason." I reminded her dryly and she laughed. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"That’s different!" She argued but I only rolled my eyes.

"And don’t punch anyone again. Except for self defense. And don’t kiss anyone again." I called out and she nodded, face scrunched up.

"I won’t, it was so disgusting anyway." She mumbled before waving at me and stepping out of the door. I let out a long breath and leaned into my seat, letting my eyes fall close for a moment.

My nose felt a little itchy and I found myself sneezing again.

My head suddenly began to pound and I reached up and massage it, squeezing my eyes tight.

In the kitchen as I looked through the freezer for some water, I sneezed three more times. At this point, I’ve sneezed more than I can keep count.

"Oh my god, please don’t tell me you’re about to fall sick." Rory cried out as I slammed the fridge shut and I turned around to assure him that I wasn’t falling sick, but I ended up sneezing three more times. At this point, my nose felt hot and tight, my throat feeling dry and scratchy.

"Oh god, is this because of the rain tonight?" He asked quietly as he reached up to touch my face. I shook my head and pulled back, offering him a small laugh.

"Stop fretting, Rory. I’m fine." I tried assuring him but then I ended up sneezing five times right in the same breath. My head pounded sharply when I met his eyes next and he touched my cheek and forehead this time.

"It’s the rain. I guess your body already knew it would do this, which was why you were against the idea from the onset." He breathed out as he retrieved the cold water from me and returned it into the fridge, handing me a cup of warm water instead. He retrieved some drugs and shook out two each for me and I threw them back with the help of the water.

After that, I suddenly felt drained and I leaned against the counter and sighed. Rory was drying the dishes after doing them and I attempted to get the drying rag from him but he refused and insisted that I go over to the bedroom and get under the covers.

Jason was currently reading to Niko, and Anna was already fast asleep. I wanted to still insist on helping Rory but then I sneezed hard once again, and not needing to be told twice, I headed over to the bedroom, undressed and got under the covers. I fell asleep almost immediately.

I felt when the covers got moved and that was when I realized I was slightly trembling. Warm bodies sandwiches me from both sides and I ended up falling back asleep almost immediately as soon as the covers got drawn up once again.

I didn’t wake up throughout the night, and I hoped that I’d be fine once morning comes.

By morning, when I opened my eyes, everything felt tight, and I felt like I needed air. My nose and throat didn’t hurt again but it still felt tight, like my chest currently feels, like it was hard to contain my alpha right now, like...

Rory and Jason were staring down at me from my left side. They didn’t look worried, not exactly. Jason had a grin tugging at his lips and Rory’s eyes were earnest as he leaned down and kissed me. I accepted the kiss instantly and deepened it just as he began to pull away and when a growl spilled past my lips, it startled me so much that my eyes widened just as Rory’s cheeks grew flushed.

"Kenny baby... you’re going into rut." Jason announced as Rory slowly sat on his knees just as realization began to Dawn on me.
