Kenny’s rut is bound to hit in 3 days, which means we had three days to get the kids out of the house, and get things ready in preparation for his rut. Kenny was feeling irritated, as he always is whenever he’s in his pre rut. I was already used to it because I’ve spent all his ruts with him since we got together. I’ve never had a heat since we got together because I now take a pill that suppress it, and that’s because I don’t want to risk anything that would get me mistakenly knocked up again. "Do you need some water, Kenny?" I asked as I brushed his hair out of his face. He was seated on the couch and I was standing before him. He suddenly wrapped his arm around my waist and tugged me close to bury his face against my stomach and inhale. My face flushed and I sneaked a glance at the kids. They were distracted by what they were arguing over to notice us, but I ended up pushing his head backwards till his hand dropped. His nostrils flared for a moment before he shook his head.

I nodded and told him I’d be back to check up on him soon, and then I returned back to the kitchen. Jason wrapped his hands around me from behind shortly, and I sighed as I let myself melt into his chest.

I wasn’t sure of how Kenny’s rut was gonna be. It’s one thing to let yourself be with another alpha and it’s another thing to spend your rut with an alpha, and ruts are when alphas are very sensitive and possessive and aggressive.

"You okay?" He asked quietly, lips kissing my shoulder and I hummed as tingles shot through my skin.

"Yeah, just a little stressed." I responded and he hummed before loosening my grip from what I was doing, then he was hoisting me into the counter and sliding in between my legs.

"Jason, we aren’t alone in this house right now. The kids are present." I told him with a laugh when he kissed my jaw.

"I know. I’m not doing anything inappropriate." He informed me but I begged to defer because this position alone was more than inappropriate.

"I just want to feel you against me." He continued as he wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head against my chest. I let my chin settle on his head as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, feeling warmth start to grow within me sheer as I gently stroked his hair.

"Everyday, I find myself being thankful that you and Kenny gave me a chance. Especially you because I hurt you in the past." He mumbled quietly, his hold around my waist tightening and I sighed as I tugged his hand backwards till our eyes met.

"I already forgive you, remember?" I breathed out and he nodded as he went back to rest his head against my chest.

"I do remember. I just still feel thankful about it because this sometimes doesn’t feel real. This time last two months I never could have thought that I’d be in love with two people, and have two kids around me that I genuinely love and adore." He continued and in a way, I fully understood him and so I hugged him tighter.

"This is the first time I’ll be spending an alpha’s rut with him and frankly, I’m looking forward to It." He mumbled after fully pulling away this time and I laughed as I hopped off the counter.

"That’s if he lets you. His alpha might not. Kenny’s very possessive during his rut." I explained but Jason only hummed, eyes gleaming in what I’d term as excitement.

"If that’s a challenge then it’s one I fully accept and welcome. I’m certain he’d end up wanting me there." He announced and I rolled my eyes as he laughed while exiting the kitchen.

When I went back into the sitting room, Kenny was resting against his shoulder, his eyes closed and his face relaxed. Perhaps Jason hadn’t been bluffing and he might really spend Kenny’s rut with him, along with me of course.

That evening, the invite from Raya arrived, and the wedding was happening tomorrow. She was supposed to have sent the invites at least three days earlier but I didn’t have the strength to call her about it after our last altercation just because I was looking out for her. I had also forgotten about the wedding to be honest because after that letter from Alex, that was all I ended up focusing on after returning from that outing that day.

"Would you guys be interested in coming along as well?" I asked the two of them that night as we prepared to sleep, explaining to them what the weeding entailed. Jason was up for it and so was Kenny. His rut was still two days away so he was fine if he didn’t get triggered.

"Are you sure you’ll be fine?" I asked Kenny whose hand was around my waist, keeping me flushed against his chest. He tend to like skinship a lot when in prerut. That and getting very territorial. I was surprised he wasn’t growling at Jason yet, but that was properly because Jason was currently massaging the back of his throat. All in all, I was just very certain that this rut was gonna come with a lot of drama.

"Goodnigh babe." I said as I leaned close to his face and kiss his lips. As expected, he deepened the kiss instantly and growled when I began to pull away. I shivered across his chest, stomach clenching with heat. But then Jason was squeezing the back of his throat and not letting go till the growl died down in his throat, right before his eyes dilated, then a small whimper escaped his lips.

Jason brushed a kiss against his forehead before finally loosening his grip and then Kenny wrapped his arms around my waist again, refusing to let me slip off his body. That was exactly how we fell asleep that night, while Jason’s large palm settled over my back.

I could really get used to this.
