When we got home, I remained in the doorway of the kitchen as Kenny headed for the fridge. He struggled to get it open and before I could offer him assistance, Jason was getting the fridge open and providing water for him. Kenny was still tense and worked up and he refused the water at first.

"I’m not incapable, I can get my own water." He gritted out but Jason insisted till he accepted the water and drank it like he was forced to.

I exhaled as I watched the two of them in the kitchen, taking up all the space with their sheer presence.

I hoped they wouldn’t end up fighting tonight because Kenny’s alpha was very on edge. At this point, I had a feeling his rut was only a few hours away.

I left to fetch the first aid kit and on returning, it looked like Jason and Kenny were about to get into a fight. Well, just Kenny, Jason still looked very unfazed and unbothered, and it seemed like that was exactly what was bothering Kenny.

As I cleaned up Kenny’s hands, he kept kissing down my throat and nipping at my skin, making it harder for me to concentrate on the task at hand.

I successfully wrapped his right hand in a bandage, while his left knuckles got covered with plasters. He regarded his hands with an unimpressed look and I grimace on his behalf because this was truly a very bad time to hand an injured hand.

"You hungry?" I asked Kenny who was already kissing down my throat and he hummed as he licked my earlobe.

"Just for you, doll."

I trembled a little before forcing myself to step away from him before I forgot what I was about to say.

"Your rut is just around the corner, you need actual food before it hits." I said, goat that my voice came out steady even though that wasn’t how I felt on the inside.

"When it hits, you won’t be able to leave the room till it gets over." He mumbled quietly and I hummed with a nod. He attempted gripping my hip with his right hand but it was bandaged and he glared at it like it was his enemy.

"I’ll get everything ready, this isn’t a new thing between us." I reminded him and his bandaged hand got temporarily forgotten. His eyes panned to Jason and his lips thinned.

"Jason will stay outside during my rut." He stated and I felt my heart stumble around in my chest.

"Are you sure about that?" Jason questioned almost immediately this time, crossing the island to stand close to Kenny whose nose instantly got scrunched up.

"Of course! Your scent is so... so strong! It’s pissing me off. I don’t like it." He spat, lips twisting and Jason stepped closer to him. Their eyes were locked and Kenny’s nose scrunched up a little, but he didn’t inch backward or pull away.

"Are you sure of that? Last I remember, you love scenting me, and you also love wearing my scent." Jason breathed out, brows arched and Kenny scowled.

"That’s- that’s different! Perhaps in the past, but not any more. Now, I hate it. It’s just... it just doesn’t feel right." He responded and one thing that registered within me as I watched them right now was that they were standing really close to each other and Kenny was yet to attempt punching Jason in the face despite how angry he comes off as.

"That’s fair. But who’ll help you stroke your cock? Your right hand is bandaged and your left hand won’t be much help." Jason began and Kenny spluttered for a moment.

"That’s- it’s not your problem to worry about." He gritted out but Jason inched closer to him.

"But I love worrying about you." He added and Kenny spluttered again, cheeks coloring a little and I decided to leave them to themselves because it seemed like Jason really does have this under control.

After exiting the kitchen, I quickly ordered some food which would arrive in a few minutes, and then I headed into the room and began to get it ready for Jason. There wasn’t much to be done, and even the food and water I’d be stocking the room with is more because of myself since I was the one producing slick and all.
