He didn't pounce on me instantly like I had thought he was gonna do. After seeing how much most alphas always want to get into my pants, I was very certain that if they were present right now, they'd have pounced on me at once.

But this alpha didn't, which made me silently wonder if he finds me desirable to begin with.

Not that it really matters to me. All I care about in this situation is being hidden until tomorrow. If this stranger agreed to help me even though he wasn't attracted to me, that's his loss and not mine.

As soon as the stranger pulled away from his seat, he walked towards the other side of the room and pulled open the large closet there. He looked through it before retrieving a shirt which he threw at me as soon as he stopped beside the bed.

"You should go take a shower. I'd send breakfast your way before you leave the bathroom." He announced and shock floored through every inch of my body as his words settled in my head, causing my eyes to widen in disbelief.

As I picked the the shirt which smelled strongly of him, i clutched it against my racing heart while trying my best to keep holding his gaze. My mouth felt dry and even though I was currently in bed, it felt like I was standing on unsteady grounds.

I cleared my throat, ignoring the color dusted over my cheeks.

"Uh, thank you so much." I whispered and he hummed with a nod, causing me to suppress a shudder as I slid out of the bed, his shirt still clutched against my chest.

In this position, he towered over me, making me feel even smaller in his presence. I knew he was tall since I saw how he filled out his seat, but I didn't know it was to this extent. I swallowed emptily before awkwardly stepping past him, cheeks aflame as I heard towards the restroom and disappeared into it.

Once in it, I slammed the door closed and slumped against it, heart racing. Even though I was no longer in his presence, it felt like he could still see me and that made my stomach flutter, feeling quite fuzzy.

I puffed out a long breath before glancing around the glamorous interior of the restroom. From the design of the room, the softness of the sheets on the alpha's bed, I had been able to figure out that his pocket was quite heavy.

This is the life I had thought I was marrying into, which I had been looking forward to, but that was before I discovered that I was being cheated on and that I was only being used for other sinister plans.

My mouth soured at once and I pushed away from the door, heading deeper into the bathroom and trying to push those thoughts out of my head, because it wasn't like those thoughts were gonna change anything.

I didn't spend too long in the bathroom because I was feeling quite strung up. I was extremely nervous. It felt like I was playing a dangerous game, but it wasn't like I had much options to pick from.

I'd be losing my virginity today, and I was extremely nervous about that. I tried to reassure myself that it would be over as soon as it starts. I wouldn't even get to see his face, it would be dark, and he wouldn't be able to see me crying because it would definitely hurt, like I've been told all my life.

It's not a big deal. It has no value anymore. It's best I get rid of it anyway.

I silently told myself as I stepped out of the shower and toweled myself dry. It smelt so much of the alpha in here, and on a normal day; that was supposed to make me feel unsettled, my wolf was still supposed to be feeling agitated by the scent since it was technically a stranger's, but it was like my wolf had fallen in love with it on first whiff, which was why it was very relaxed in my chest.

That was unusual for my wolf. It usually needs some time to warm up to new scents. It had taken a while for it to get used to Alex's scent, so it was surprising that it was already smitten with the alpha's.

Once dry, I brushed my teeth with a new brush I found there. After that, I picked the shirt he had handed me and held it up. His scent emitted from it in waves and I gave into an impulse thought, pressing my face into it and inhaling deeply. As soon as his scent coursed through my lungs, a shudder rolled down my spine and I found myself relaxing even more.

I ended up pulling the shirt away from my face and hastily slipping into it on realizing how creepy I was acting. Once in it, it went all the way to my thighs, appearing like a dress on my slender frame. I grimaced at the realization that I had nothing to wear underneath it, making me feel weird and extremely bare as I pushed the door open and stepped back into the room.

The room was empty and food was on the bed side table. My stomach growled almost immediately and I rushed towards it and began to wolf the food down till the plate was wiped clean. Once I was done, I felt extremely relaxed and tired. Even though I tried to stay awake, as soon as I slipped back into bed, I went straight to sleep.

When I blinked my eyes open hours later, I was staring straight into a pair of piercing, dark eyes of the alpha. It took a few seconds for me to realize that he was in the bed along with me.

My eyes widened and I tried rolling out of the bed but a grip on my waist prevented that from happening. My cheeks flushed and mouth fell open but before I could get a word out, he was closing the small distance between us and pressing a kiss against my slackened lips.
