"What? The fuck?" I demanded, feeling extremely perplexed as the words Alex kept saying kept echoing within my head. It sounded very absurd to me, that he was telling Anna he’d accept her back if he shoots Kenny and myself. Anna might be dumb but she wasn’t this dumb, right?

However when I glanced over at Anna, I realized that she was indeed considering it. It made me let out a laugh mixed with so much disbelief.

"Are you dumb? Didn’t you say he betrayed you??" I questioned and she flattered, appearing unsure as she glanced at me, her face streaked with tears. I let out another sigh of disbelief as I shook my head.

"Damb, you’re so dumb, way dumb that I expected. How could you believe him after he betrayed you in the past? And he didn’t even have to do much for your mind to change in the blink of an eye; that’s very pathetic in case you aren’t aware." I Informed her and she burst into tears again, which irritated me and made me roll my eyes right before my eyes settled on Alex who had a Stoney expression on.

"Mind you business." He gritted but I rolled my eyes and stepped closer to him, but before I could take another step, he was pressing the gun harder into the side of Rory’s head and once again, I forced myself to stop while he gloated at me.

"That’s what I thought." He crooned before his eyes settled on Anna who still remained in the same spot.

"Come closer, my love. You love me, don’t you?" He spoke softly, a caring expression on his face, one which unnerved me to the core because a moment ago, he had a dark expression across his face. He was a manipulative psychopath from the looks of things. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"I don’t- I don’t love you anymore after you betrayed me! You cheated on me with so many male omegas, and you hit me when I confronted you!" She cried out softly, her voice lacking the strength that was once in his when she spoke to us about how much she hated Alex and wanted to bring him to the very bottom. With the way she had spoken about him, the way she completely went out of her way to save Kenny and I, I had thought she hated Alex to the point of never going back to him no matter what, but clearly I had been wrong.

"Baby..." Alex sighed out softly as he shook his head slowly and I let out a loud scoff of disbelief but he ignored me, grip still firm around the gun he was holding to Rory’s head. I went to try to see if he was able to catch him off guard but u know that he might be speaking to anna right now, but I was very certain his full focus and attention was on Rory and this gun. I silently calculated the distance between us, wondering if I’d be able to successfully kick away the gun held against Rory’s head before he could realize what was happening. But I ended up deciding against that, because that would make the bullet go off, and that could kill Rory. I wasn’t ready to take any risky chances and so I fully shoved that thought down the drain.

"That’s because I was trying to forget your brother. I told you he casted a spell over me, didn’t I? He’s evil and that’s what evil omegas do. It’s why I sent you away, because I was protesting you. Now that I have him, he’s still dangerous. I plan to instantly send for you after I kill him but you just aren’t patient enough. You know I’m not into guys, that’s just disgusting. How can I be into men when I have you in my life? I only slept with those guys to try breaking that wretched curse from my body and that was the only reason, so you can’t call that cheating, baby. I never cheated on you. Cheating is only when I sleep With other women and that’s something I never did. Why? Clearly because of how much I love you." As each word kept leaving Alex’s mouth, so did more disgust kept rising within me till I almost puked. When I glanced over at Anna, I was more disgusted to find out that she was believing and buying all that Alex was saying.

"For the fact that I hit you; that’s because you were stepping out of line and needed to be reminded of your spot. If you love me and want to be loved by me, then being disciplined by me should bring you joy and not make you complain. After all, I only hit you out of love and nothing more, because I want you to learn and to grow. But of course, if you believed I was wrong and all, then feel free to stay back and don’t come back to me..." he was still speaking when Anna rigorously shook her head and stepped forward, hands clasped before her.

"No, no! I want to come back to you! I miss you, Alex. I only want to be by your side." She cried out desperately and Alex smiled at her and it made me sick to the core. Once upon a time I used to think I used to be a manipulative asshole when I sometimes led people on. However I’m realizing that all I had been doing had been nothing but child’s play.

"Come here then, and prove that you deserve my forgiveness. Since you betrayed me and brought my enemies here, it’s only right that you shoot them." He continued and I exchanged a look with Kenny at that very moment.

When I glanced sideways once again, Anna was already standing beside Alex and I wanted to grab her shoulders and shake some senses into her, because clearly Alex wanted to use her to get out of this situation but she was too love sick to see that. Kenny shook his head and spoke.

"We should have left her behind."

I couldn’t agree more.

"You can’t seriously be considering shooting us! You gave us your words that you were on our side and that we both had the same enemy." I called out and Anna flinched for a moment. She soon cleared her throat and squared her chin before responding.

"I- well, I guess I changed my mind." She muttered and I felt immense Irritation engulfed me.

"So what? You’re just gonna shoot us?? Just like that?" I continued as she stepped behind Alex and bent to look through his pockets like he had instructed.

"I guess. And I’m not even sorry about it because I know you’d both shoot me if the care were reversed, without hesitating at all." She said before rising to her feet, a small pistol in her grip. She slowly grinned as she examined the pink gun.

"It’s my favorite color." She said to Alex who hummed while nodding.

"Of course. I got it for you."

She squeaked for a moment and attempted to bend down to kiss Alex but he shook his head and nodded at Kenny and I.

"Prove your worth to me first. Shoot them."

Kenny stiffened beside me.

"Don’t do this, Anna. He’ll dispose of you again. He doesn’t care about you." Kenny tried this time and Anna didn’t bother responding, she just lifted her gun and pointed it straight at me.

"Sorry guys. Sometimes, there are things you do for love and I- I guess this is one of them." She whispered, sounding regretful.

In the next moment, she pulled the trigger.

She pulled the fucking trigger!

I tugged Kenny down and we both ducked, and the bullet managed to fly past our heads. I was breathing hard and slowly rising up and Anna had her eyes squeezed tightly, hands shaking. Alex was fuming beside her, face red Witt anger.

"Shoot again, Dammit! Shoot!" He gritted out but before Anna could shoot again, I kicked the gun from her grasp and as it clattered to the ground, she gasped right before I shoved at her, making her crash to the ground.

I bent and picked the gun from the ground, and at the same time, from the side of my eyes, I noticed Kenny shoving at Alex from the side before grasping his throat tightly. Alex coughed, eyes bulging and face instantly turning left. He ended up letting go of Rory in order to try pulling Kenny’s grip from his throat and I was there to catch Rory before he fell to the ground. I cradled him in my arms but couldn’t stay in the moment for long before the sounds of blows being exchanged pulled me back to reality.

Alex and Kenny were fighting. Or rather, Alex was straddling Kenny and he was raining blows down his face. His gun was no longer in his grasp, and I realized it had been kicked away. Definitely by Kenny.

I stepped up behind Alex and pointed the pistol to the back of his head.

"Say your last prayers, Alexander." I growled.

"No! You say your last prayers!" Anna cried out, and when I glanced sideways, it was to see her pointing Alex’s gun at me, a flat expression on.
