Three days had passed since we all returned home, and I’ve never been happier.

To say I had been happy to meet my kids again would be an understatement. I had actually guested until tears as I embraced them fiercely because I feared so much that I won’t get to see them again. Right now, I was stroking Niko’s head. He had fallen asleep across my legs and I wasn’t ready to let him lay properly on the couch, because I still wanted to feel his weight against me. Jason was sitting across from me on the couch, and Anna was asleep in his arms. Kenny was sitting in the middle of the sitting room on the ground, and he had been reading something to the kids before they fell asleep. I had a feeling Anna didn’t fall asleep because of the reading and more because she’s tired from school.

Kenny got to his feet and quietly clapped his hands, then he ordered us to remain in the same position before disappearing into one of the rooms. I Exchanged a look with Jacob who only shrugged, as confused as I currently feel. He re-emerged with a camera in his hands, and he was clearly excited as he held it up.

"just remain like that, I’M gonna take a picture, yes?" He stated as he held the camera against tie eyes. I was chuckling when he snapped the first few postures because I felt ridiculously happy right now. My hair was a mess, my outfit wasn’t anything impressive, but Kenny was snapping away and from the sounds he wax making, it was clear that he liked all the pictures he has taken so far:

I asked him if he wanted some pictures taken of him too and he nodded eagerly. Then Niko was carefully transferred to him, then I took a bunch of pictures of him. After that, Jason had to move from his own chair to Kenny so the pictures could be together in the same frame. Anna didn’t stair at all as he crossed the room with her in his arms, then he was sitting beside Kenny and I snapped away. At the end of it all, I positioned the carema against the window after putting it to a timer, then I hurried back to the couch so we could all take a group picture of this moment. It was a mess, the timer kept going off before I could get back to the couch each time, and we were all dissolving in laughter each time I went back to check out the picture and see that it ended up being a mess.

But that didn’t matter that much to me, all that matters was that it was a happy and significant moment, and I cherished it tremendously.

Life has almost fully returned back to normal. The hideouts of Alex had been raided by the cops and all of Alex’s men that didn’t manage to escape had been captured. Alex had been pronounced dead, but surirusjgou, it wasn’t because of murder. It says by an unknown cause, and that instantly reminded me of that knife, which I remember stabbing him with. He had no stab wound or whatsoever and I felt a little weirded out.

When I spoke to Jason and Kenny about it, they said it probably had to do with the fact that my blood was already inside him so that helped in closing up the stab wound, especially since seeing as I witnessed Alex using my blood to heal himself right in my presence whereby he was demonstrating to me that my blood really had powers. However I still felt weirded out by the entire situation.

"Do you have any idea of where you might be from? Because remember that your sister said you both aren’t related by blood. That still made so much sense to me. However I’m very curious as to where you’re from, that might be able to explain why you could teleport for example." Jason spoke this time and I grimaced a little.

"What if I don’t want to know the answer to that?" I asked after a little while and Kenny frowned this time.

"You don’t?"

I hummed while nodding. "I mean, it might not amount to anything at the end of the day. I don’t think I’m interested in knowing where I’m from or who my real parents are. I just don’t feel curious or anything, you know? All I feel is content. I’m contented for what I have and where I’m at, and that’s the only thing I want to keep focusing on." I responded, which was nothing but the truth. I genuinely feel no ounce of curiosity towards the fact that I might have parents out there or something.

"Don’t get me wrong. I don’t feel anger towards them because they probably abandoned me or something." I added before Jason could speak.

"I just don’t want any unnecessary stress. I see that as a lot of stress, and considering what I went through in the hands of Alex. I don’t want to experience something relatively close to that at all for now. I never met them so far and at this point, I don’t think I’d ever want to. I’m content with what I have now; which is you guys. That’s a good thing, right?" I questioned and my mates nodded eagerly in response while watching me with something that resembled awe across their faces.

With Jason’s enigma fully back, he was able to finally fully help Niko’s enigma by biting Niko. It was like a settling bite, one that’s supposed to settle the enigma and crank it down so it doesn’t overwhelm all of Niko’s emotions any longer. Niko said the bite hadn’t hurt at all when we asked if he was fine.

Jason now had a better control of his enigma, compared to the very beginning after he got it. Apparently he was unknowingly trying to control people and force them to submit. Jenny also confirmed that he didn’t mind and found it funny since he knew Jason wouldn’t knowingly try to manipulate him like that. However, Jason’s enigma control never worked on me or arrested me a bit, and I believed it was because I now had some strange powers. Kenny believed so as well. But then I didn’t even know what the said powers were, and what they’re actually about.

Most importantly, where they’re from and why I’m the only one that posted it.

The next afternoon, approximately five days after we returned home, Ace and Malik came over. Malik drove them over, and I didn’t realize I had hugged Ace till he stiffened, and when I pulled away, I realized Jason was glaring at him. I glared at Jason and he grumbled and reluctantly averted his gaze.

After that, I ushered Ace in while Malik began to talk animatedly with Jason as they fell into steps behind us before disappearing into Jason’s office.

"How are you?" I asked Ace after we took our seats. Kenny was currently out with the kids, so technically Ace and I had privacy right now, which was why I leaned forward and spoke.

"Are you fine? Is Malik treating you right?"

Ace scrunched his nose and shook his head. "He’s a lot! He treats me like a kid, can you believe that?" He began and I nodded, encouraging him to continue.

"He’s so condescending and annoying and I actually hate him, like a lot." He added and I frowned.

"He maltreats you?" I asked and he shook his head.

"He starves you?"

He shook his head again.

"He hurts you physically?" I continued and his eyes instantly widened.

"What? No!" He responded and I narrowed my eyes at him, folding my arms.

"So what did you mean? You said you hate him, remember?"

He nodded eagerly. "Oh, I do hate him! He’s just so- so..."

He was still speaking when Jason and Malik appeared, taking the seats opposite us. Ace was no longer speaking and when I glanced at him, I noticed the way he averted his gaze from Malik’s who currently had a brow arched, right before his cheeks grew flushed with color.

My eyes widened as realization slowly dawned on me.

Oh...

So that’s it? It’s not actually anger or hatred, but instead it’s likeness? Or a crush or something?

Hm.

Now that’s very intriguing...

"Did Malik tell you anything about Ace?" I ashad and Jason shrug hummed while nodding.

"You. He told me he found him annoying and childish, but I saw right through that bullshit. He clearly wants to fuck him," he responded and I jumped excitedy, exclaiming that I also came to that conclusion too! Apparently Jason even asked Malik if he was tired of housing Ace and wanted him to leave, but Malik said he’d manage.

That made me snicker so much.

Jason was currently leading Kenny and I to the balcony where he wanted us to hang out a little this chill evening.

However when we got there, rose petals were everywhere and a large writing with rose petals with the words.

"Will you two do me the honor of marrying me?"
