I wasn’t sure of how long I remained in the pitch black room. Hours? Days? It felt so long that I had completely lost track of time. I slept and woke up and slept again, stomach growling with hunger and throat parched and in dire thirst for water.

Alex didn’t come to check up on me for once. It was like he was punishing me for fleeing and refusing to show up for the wedding by starving me to death or something. My hands which were tied tightly had completely grown numb and my eyes were undoubtedly swollen from the amount of times I’ve been crying.

At a point, I desperately wished I wasn’t currently tied, then I’d have licked up my teardrops in order to clear up my thirst a little.

At first, I kept screaming and screaming for help. But after the hours bled into days, I gave up on trying. I felt extremely weak, too weak to do anything but wallow in self pity and pain.

As I stared straight ahead in the pitch blackness of the room, I silently wondered if the alpha who had rejected me had gone along with his wedding without stopping to regret rejecting me for a moment. It still hurt my heart so much that I got rejected like that without any sort of hesitation from him. It hurt even more that after what I’d term as the best night of my life, I had to fall right into the grasp of an alpha as cruel and horrible as the alpha prince.

My heart ached so much whenever I remember that my sister was undoubtedly aware of my current situation and had done nothing to help me in any way. It still shocked me to accept the fact that she never loved me. To think I always use to believe that we were like best friends, to think I once believed that I was one of the best things that had ever happened to her.

I leaned my head against the cold wall as tears silently rolled down my cheeks, warm tears which I wished I could drink up. It still surprised me that my tired and worn out eyes could still produce this much tears.

As I remained in the same spot, I silently began to curse the fact that I was a male omega. If I was a beta, at least I won’t have to go through a quarter of the things I go through on a normal day as an omega. At least I’d be able to live a quiet, peaceful life. But sadly, I had to get created as an omega, a class of werewolves which people term as misfortune.

Once again, the people hadn’t been wrong.

Being an omega is still the greatest misfortune to ever befall anyone.

The sound of a key getting turned made me jolt awake, and I blinked a bunch of times in the dark, trying to make out anything.

Moments later, the door gets pushed open and a bright light filled the room as soon as a sharp sound indicates a light getting switched on. I blinked a couple of times, mind registering on the fact that a light switch was present In this room this entire time but it purposely wasn’t switched on.

How heartless could this man get?

Alex was standing in the doorway, eyes gleaming and a smile spread across his face. I blinked once again, watching as his gaze raked me over a bunch of times before he slowly walked into the door and closed the door after him.

"You monster." I whispered, voice hoarse and coarse as I spoke and Alex stared at me a moment longer before crackling really hard.

"And here I thought this little time out would have tamed the sass out of you. I guess I was wrong." He drawled as he slowly closed the distance between us and crouched before me.

"Although, come to think of it, that’s actually a good thing. It’s perfect that I’d get to actually fuck that sass right out of you with my dick." His tongue poked at the inside of his cheek as he spoke and I felt disgust course through my entire inside, causing me to spit on him with the last of my strength.

He stared at me for a moment longer before grabbing my hair and delivering a slap across my cheeks a few times. By the time he let go of my hair, my ears were ringing so much and my eyes blackened out for a few seconds. I tasted blood in my mouth and pain shoot through my cheeks in waves.

"Stupid bitch." He snarled before getting to his feet and kicking me in my ribs and i hunched over in pain while he laughed maniacally.

"When next I come to you, I’m gonna fuck you on this ground, I’ll fuck you until you give up the ghost, so in your next life, you’d know not to ever mess with me." He warned before turning around and exiting the room, but not before switching the light off and leaving me in darkness once again.

I was woken up this time with hands shaking my shoulders until I jolted awake.

"We don’t have much time, hurry!" The soft voice urged and I felt myself getting pulled up.

I blinked, confused and trying to make out anything in the pitch darkness.

"W- who..." I tried speaking but a finger pressed against my lips.

"Shh. You’re safe for now." The voice urged and then I started getting pulled forward. My legs felt so weak and I kept stumbling over and over again. After running down a long hallway and stairs and having to pause and muffle my pained cries at different intervals, we finally arrived at a small door leading outside. That was when I finally saw the face of my savior. It was a boy of average height with red hair.

He pulled me forward, towards a bunch of trucks containing luggages, drums and some other things. He tried helping me on one of them, but my legs kept failing until he lifted me himself. He was about to pull away when I grabbed him, asking him why he was doing this.

"You don’t remember, but you saved my life once. I’m returning the favor now." He revealed and my mouth fell open in shock as he hurriedly recounted when that had happened. I refused to let go of his hands when he tried to pull away again, asking him if he’d be safe after helping me now.

Even though he reassured me that he would be safe, I still felt extremely guilty and troubled as I watched him slip back into the palace through the small door.

I crawled to the very back of the truck, between large boxes, and I kept praying that I wouldn’t get discovered. I remained wide awake in fear until the break of the dawn, and until when the truck finally started moving.

After the truck had completely driven out of our pack, I finally closed my eyes and gave into the urge to sleep.
