"You can’t be serious right now." Kenny echoed behind me right before he stepped forward and draped his arm across my shoulders in a protective way.

Jason frowned at once, his eyes zeroing in on the hand Kenny had around my shoulder and I wanted to hurl a bag or a pair of shoe at him right now.

"What do you want, Jason?" I asked bristly, already feeling like the walls were starting to close in on me.

"Are you stalking him? The fuck are you doing here right now?" Kenny demanded almost at the same time, sounding quite angry. A scowl appeared on Jason’s face right before he stepped forward, making my heart hammer against my ribs when he stopped a few feet away.

"If you must know, I was by the hospital. This is nothing but a coincidence." He responded but for some reason, I couldn’t bring myself to believe him. Up close, I noticed the way eye bags were underneath his eyes which appeared tired, but that didn’t make him less menacing to me.

"How convenient, so you suddenly give a fuck about your grandma?" Kenny snipped at Jason whose scowl deepened. He and Kenny stared at each other pointedly and I could almost taste the tension in the air.

"I’ve always cared about my grandma, not that it’s any of your business," Jason finally snapped in response and Kenny let out a sarcastic, airy laugh.

"You sure have a weird and unusual way of showing that." He drawled and Jason gritted his teeth, clearly annoyed.

I cleared my throat and Jason’s eyes panned towards me. I leveled him with an unimpressed look.

"Can you step out of the way? We’d like to leave right now." I said flatly and Jason’s jaw clenched before he shook his head, and bewilderment instantly swelled within me.

"The fuck? What the hell is your problem?" Kenny demanded just as Jason began to speak.

"I can’t let you leave because I need to speak to you." He said calmly, like he had to force himself to maintain that level of calmness.

"You can’t speak to us. Haven’t you gotten the memo yet? You were denied entrance to our home for a reason." Kenny snapped, clearly irritated and Jason gritted his teeth once again.

"You can leave if you want, no one wants you here, he’s the one I have unfinished business with, and not you." Jadon snapped at Kenny who let out an amused crackle.

"I want him here, Jason." I announced and I didn’t miss the way Jason’s eyes flashed before refocusing on Kenny.

"What is he to you?" He asked, nose flaring and I rolled my eyes in irritation.

"If you must know, he’s my boyfriend, not that it’s any of your concern. And let me get something straight, please. We do not have unfinished business together, we don’t even have anything tying us together... So please, stop bothering me and pretend we never met in the past." Once I was done speaking, a displeased expression appeared across Jason’s face, not that I gave a fuck about.

"I hope your curiosity is satisfied now, Mr... ’I care about my grandma’." Kenny drawled and a thunderous expression settled across Jason’s face, which made me instantly consider asking Kenny to stop goading him.

Kenny and I attempted stepping around his tall figure, but he stepped in the way and blocked our path, making fury gather within my chest.

"What the fuck is this, Jason?" I gritted out, my hands turning into fists by my sides.

"I really need to speak to you. It won’t take long, I promise." He revealed and I flashed him a scathing glare.

"Whatever it is you want to tell me, I don’t care about it, I’m not curious enough, so keep it to yourself." I told him before attempting to step across him, but once again, he blocked our paths.

I had forgotten just how big he was built until right now. He towered over Kenny and I, which is why he wasn’t even bothered about respecting our words, because he was clearly stronger. Egoistic asshole.

"But it’s so important and I really need to tell you about it." He tried again and I shook my head firmly.

"I still don’t care."

"It won’t take long." He offered and I rolled my eyes.

"I still don’t care. Do you want me to call security on you right now? This is harassment at this point." I snapped out in frustration and Jason dragged his palm across his face.

"It would only be a moment." Jason tried again, but it seemed like Kenny already had enough because he reached forward and grasped Jason’s shirt tightly.

"The hell is your problem? Do you lack morals or something? We said we aren’t interested." He growled into Jason’s face and I briefly felt consumed with shock and awe because I’ve never seen Kenny getting consumed with this level of anger before.

"My problem is your presence. Your unwanted presence is grating on my nerves and I’m sure if you aren’t here, the omega would have given in to my request a long time ago." Jason gritted out at once, I felt consumed with a wave of insult because he basically just implied that I didn’t have a mind of my own.

Before I could say anything, Kenny was punching him right in the face, and then all that happened next was a blur. A total mess.

Both Alphas began to punch each other and didn’t stop till security pulled them apart. I instantly rushed towards Kenny who had a bleeding nose and busted lip, cupping his face worriedly.

"Entitled, egoistic asshole. How dare you imply that? I’d have you know that this omega right here is way smarter and classier than your useless self." Kenny hurled at a bleeding Jason who was being restrained as well.

"And no one still wants your unwanted presence here. I wonder how Rory settled with you." Jason hurled back and having had enough, I closed the distance between Jason and myself to slap him hard across the face.

His eyes widened after his head whipped sideways and he panted, staring down at me while his hands were still being restrained.

"You’ll never speak about Kenny like that. Ever. And good luck with actually getting a chance to have some stupid conversation with me."
