"You won’t be fucking me or making my alpha submit to you or any other thing your delusions might have fed you." Kenny’s voice pierced through the atmosphere and I stiffened before Jason and I glanced sideways to see Kenny staring right at us with his eyes blazing.

I went straight to Kenny and he tugged me into his side, growling a little as he buried his face into my throat. I swallowed emptily and glanced sideways, feeling glad that no one had overheard his outburst.

Jason was beside us in the next moment, leaning close to kiss Kenny’s nose. Kenny bristled and shoved at Jason’s chest but Jason didn’t move.

"You stink." He spat at Jason but Jason only rolled his eyes.

"If you want to scent me, then you’d have to learn to ask nicely, like a good boy." He crooned and Kenny’s jaw clenched, his grip tightening around my hip.

"Fuck you, you arrogant, annoying-" kennt said was still speaking when Jason leaned into his personal space again.

"How about you politely ask me to fuck you if that’s what you want? Hm?" He asked and once again, Kenny bristled. He looked very angry, but he wasn’t punching Jason or really cursing him out like he’d have done if he really hated all what he was saying, which made me realize that Jason might really have been right about what he said about Kenny’s wolf.

"Guys, I think we should leave." I began after clearing my throat and both men stared down at me for a moment. Kenny’s grip on me was still very tight and Jason still looked very amused by this situation.

"We can if Kenny’s not gonna be difficult about it." Jason drawled and Kenny scowled at him.

"Shut up, Jason."

"You’ll pay for this across my knee, Kenny." Jason drawled in response and they held each other’s gazes till Kenny ended up averting his gaze, but still appearing very furious.

The wedding reception was barely over but at this point, if we didn’t leave, something was gonna end up happening and that was what I was currently avoiding.

Mel suddenly slammed into my legs and I crouched low to engulfed her in a long hug while she laughed happily.

"I miss you so much, Rory." She whined as I kissed her head and I laughed as I hugged her again. Back in the day, I used to sing her to sleep and I even babysat her at one point in life.

Raya arrived the next moment and cautioned her daughter about running off, then we exchanged hugs again.

"So what do you think about Peter?" She asked, an eager look on her face and I contemplated telling her the truth.

Frankly, I still didn’t like Peter. He looked like he was in his early forties, and I never discriminate against age because I believe everyone deserves love, but there was just something off about him. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

I had a feeling that would annoy her should I say that. I ended up taking her hand in mine as I forced myself to lie to her that her husband looked good and that they were a beautiful couple.

They weren’t a beautiful couple. Raya was stunning and perfect, while her husband looked ugly and creepy.

"I didn’t go for a younger guy because I’m still traumatized from you know who." She added as if she could read my mind and I ended pulling her into a comforting hug.

After a few more exchanges, she turned around to leave with her child. Once alone again, I turned to Kenny and Jason and rubbed my hands together.

"Can we leave now?" I asked and they agreed. I left them to go grab our stuff and was shocked to feel someone touch my back. I stiffened and instantly whirled around and I stumbled from shock to come face to face with Peter, Raya’s new husband.

Oh goddess. Creepy!

"Can I help you?" I asked as I stepped away, feeling offended that he touched me to get me to turn around. His lips were in a thin line as he pocketed his hands.

"You could at least act like you’re happy for Raya and I by being a little nice to me or wishing me a happy married life right now." He breathed out and I gaped at him, unable to believe my ears.

"Excuse me?" I echoed out and he let out a scoff and a low laugh.

"Raya told me you believed I was using her for her money. Your worry is very cute, trust me, we appreciate the worry, but I care about her even if you don’t believe that." He continued and irritation settled within me at the realization that Raya told this man the exact thing I told her.

"Uh, I don’t know why you’re telling me this." I began and he continued.

"That’s because I want you to not worry about her or me anymore. I’ll start taking care of her on moving forward and I’ll also appreciate it if you don’t accuse me of things I have no hands In." He finally ended and I rolled my eyes, folding my hands.

"I’m glad we’re having this conversation and I’m glad you aren’t even bothering to pretend to be someone else," I said and stepped back even more.

"And I hope you can try knowing your place on moving forward, you’re nothing but a child anyway..." the man continued and stepped closer. He placed a hand on my shoulder this time and before I could even shrug it off, his hand was being ripped off by Kenny who appeared from nowhere, and then Kenny was beating him up right before a very shocked crowd.

It was maddening. Kenny wasn’t listening to anything. He kept beating the man till Jason succeeded in pulling him off, and at this point, the wedding was already a mess and Raya was in tears, staring at me like I had betrayed her by ruining her big day on purpose.
