Well, it turned out that the 7 minutes wasn’t what I was thinking. Since she has no friends, I’ve been the one listening to Princess. I did tell her to come find me whenever she needs someone to talk to, so I guess I brought this on myself.

It’s a good thing, being there for her, but my mind was definitely somewhere else. I was craving something a lot less talkative. I just hugged her, her voice echoing slightly in the empty classroom.

"I can’t believe my own brother would shut me out just because I missed one friday, and now he’s making me compete with the newcomers... Bulldogs Club..."

This wasn’t the first time she had talked about it. She always brought it up. It had been occupying her mind for weeks now, like a looped tape she couldn’t turn off. Leo approved some club a few blocks away from Princess’s spot, taking over Friday nights. Where every teenager was supposed to be clubbing at Lunny Club, they were now at Bulldogs Club.

It had been eating her up. She and Malo had been trying to get her club running the way it used to, but I once heard Malo say that it was Beam who helped boost the club with her managing skills. Princess might be the school president, but it was thanks to her two ex friends. They were the ones behind her success, and now that they were gone, the cracks were showing.

I kept hugging Princess as she talked. She was leaning into me, trying to find warmth, her head resting near my shoulder.

"So what do you plan on doing?" I asked. I tried to sound supportive, but my hands were starting to wander on their own.

"I’m trying to find out what the other club is using to lure people there, what’s the difference between my club and theirs, so I can work on getting them back," Princess said. She sounded determined, that hard edge returning to her voice.

"That’s great, I guess. You could try making friends with the owner," I suggested. It seemed like the logical thing to do. Keep your enemies close and all that.

"Never. No one makes friends with the enemy, especially one trying to steal your life’s work," she said. She pulled back just enough to look me in the eye, her expression stubborn.

"Dude, you were friends with someone who secretly stole your girlfriend from you... You knew about it and still stayed friends with her. That’s an enemy..."

The words were out before I could stop them. Even though I didn’t want to bring it up, she was playing pretend friends with Beam, right? So it will be easy for her to play friends with her rival.

"Beam and I are friends, not competitors. We don’t compete..."

"But you both compete for Kiara..." I was going to keep that in my head, but it slipped out anyway. The tension in the room shifted instantly.

"The only thing comforting right now is your hugging, which, by the way, your hands have been squeezing my bum."

The moment Princess said that, I looked down and noticed my hands. Instead of being around her waist like a normal person, they were busy massaging her butt. My fingers were buried in the fabric of her skirt, working the muscles.

I was about to remove them, my face heating up....

"You can continue. I seem to be enjoying the touch," she said. She didn’t move away. In fact, she leaned closer.

"Then why did you complain about it?" I snapped, trying to hide how flustered I was.

"I wasn’t complaining. I just wanted to know if you were aware... you weren’t," she said with a smile. It was that smug, knowing look that always got under my skin.

"Haha..." I faked a laugh, then straightened my face as I looked at her. I tried to pull my hands away, but she held them there. "Just so you know, I am not enjoying touching your butt."

"Then why were your hands there in the first place?"

"My hands slipped."

"Wow, Coconut Omega... your hands slipped all the way to my bum. Was it slippery while you were squeezing?" she said with a wink.

Toying with me was her usual hobby. I tried to ignore the fact that she was using fruit sizes to describe my boobs. It was annoying as always. She noticed it yesterday when I spent the night at her club. Calling me fruit names even with the fact that my boobs are getting bigger from the pregnancy.

Well, I won’t lie, I do like squeezing her butt. It’s soft and squishy. One time, I even woke up using it as a pillow. She doesn’t complain, and I don’t want to give her the satisfaction of being right that I’m a butt person.

"So, my brother rejected your proposal again today," I said, desperately changing the topic.

"This is the 14th time, right? Once I get my clubbers back, I’ll make it my main priority, your brother will accept me," she said proudly. She stood taller, her confidence flaring up.

Every morning for the past two weeks, before coming to school, Princess knocks on the door to ask Paye to let me leave with her. His answer is always no. It’s like a morning ritual of rejection. His night job is the only reason I get to spend time with Princess at her club at all. Then early in the morning, she drives me back before he returns from work. It’s a constant game of hide and seek.

"No difference between you and your brother, stubborn and rude. But I can take you... his NO doesn’t mean anything because you’re mine now..."

"Yo, bitch... did you just call me and my brother rude?" I said, offended. I pulled away from her completely this time. My protective streak for Paye was a mile wide.

"He slammed the door in my face this morning with a big No without even letting me speak. That’s rude," she argued. She crossed her arms, looking like a pouting child.

"Okay, that’s enough. No one gets to insult my brother like that. He’s just looking out for me."

"Slamming the door in someone’s face is an insult, Omega," Princess said.

Before we could go any further into the argument, the school bell rang. The loud, metallic clang filled the hallway outside, signaling the end of our private time.

I gave her one last look, sharp and annoyed, before storming out of the classroom. I was annoyed at her, and I was annoyed at myself.

Those fucking 7 minutes should have just been used for what I craved for instead of listening to her complain about club business and my brother. It would have been a much better use of the time.
