I was in class, and sitting beside me was Princess. I had texted her earlier that I needed her, and she chose to stay with me instead of going elsewhere. I watched her hand move as she took notes, but I couldn’t focus on the board.

While the teacher was busy with his lecture, I leaned my head on her shoulder. I closed my eyes and breathed in, sniffing her black hair, trying to get the comfort I needed. It was the only thing keeping my head from spinning.

I even wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her closer until our clothes rubbed together. I didn’t want even the smallest space between us.

I used to feel embarrassed when people watched us and whispered, but not anymore. My urge was stronger than any embarrassment. The need to be near her felt like a physical ache in my chest.

Even the teacher didn’t care. This wasn’t the first time he’d seen us like this. He just kept talking about the lesson, his voice drone-like in the background.

After class ended, the room emptied out until we were the only ones left in the quiet. I was still leaning on her while she read, her fingers turning pages slowly as she waited for me to be ready to move.

"I want to enter your body... this isn’t enough," I muttered. I felt a surge of frustration and squeezed her tighter, digging my fingers into her jacket.

Princess closed her book with a soft thud and turned her full attention to me. She shifted her weight and hugged me back, her arms strong and steady, trying to calm me down.

We stayed there for a long time, just wrapped around each other in the empty classroom. The silence felt heavy.

"Are you feeling better now?" she asked, her voice vibrating against my ear.

"Not yet. I still need your warmth... I need you closer," I said. I felt like I was shivering on the inside.

She sighed, a long breath that puffed against my neck. "Omega... we’re in a classroom."

I pulled back just enough to pout and gave her a puppy-eyed look. It was the one look she clearly couldn’t resist. After a moment, she let out another breath, adjusted herself in the hard chair, and let me get closer.

I buried my face against her neck, trying to drown myself in her scent. I focused on the way she smelled, trying to calm whatever was building inside me. It was like a storm was quieted every time she touched me.

Princess gently tapped my back in a slow rhythm, like I was a child she was trying to soothe.

"Talk to me," I said quietly. My voice sounded muffled against her skin. "Tell me something about your day. I need to know you’re here."

"My day’s the same," she said. I could feel her chest move as she spoke. "Trying to overpower Antonio. And yesterday, Beam couldn’t find any information about you in this school from six years ago. No records at all... which means whatever erased our memories erased your information too."

I stiffened. So the serum really did all that. It didn’t just mess with our heads, it wiped the slate clean. No information. Not even school pictures. It was like I had never existed here at all.

"Princess... I want you closer."

"I am close," she said, her voice a bit strained. "You’re literally glued to me, Omega."

"Closer," I whispered. I felt a desperate tug in my gut. "I need more of you."

I shifted my weight and moved, sitting right on her lap. I closed whatever tiny bit of distance was left between us, holding onto her shoulders like I needed her just to breathe.

"I wish we could stay like this forever... like we were stuck together, maybe with a glue," I said.

"I don’t think glue would work," she said softly, her hand rubbing my back in circles.

"You marked me, and that didn’t even keep us together," I muttered. Thinking about our breakup..

She was quiet for a second, her hand pausing on my spine. Then she said, "Then maybe not glue... maybe chains. Silver ones. Something that makes sure we can’t ever be apart."

I huffed slightly against her shoulder. "Silver chains would hurt. They’d burn."

"Maybe," she said, her voice low. "But they’d hold."

"You’re a weird kind of Alpha," I murmured.

I pulled back a little to look at her face. Her eyes were dark and focused on me. "So... tomorrow I’m coming over, right?"

Tomorrow was Saturday, so there was no school to get in the way. It had to be her place. Even if we weren’t officially together in the way people like me expected, we still couldn’t stay away from each other. The need, the closeness, it was always there, pulling us back together like magnets.

"About tomorrow..." she started. She looked away for a split second. "I have plans with my brothers."

My heart sank. "Oh."

She hesitated again. My grip on her shoulders tightened.

"Also Sunday..."

I pulled away immediately, sliding off her lap and onto the bench.

"You’re serious? I won’t see you for two days?" I stared at her, my eyes wide. "That feels like months, Princess. Why both days? Can’t you cancel? What am I supposed to do for two days? You’re the one who got me pregnant, you know I crave you."

She covered part of her face with her hand, smiling a little at my outburst.

"It’s important," she said, her voice turning serious again. "For me and my brothers. No one skips it. Adam and Leo don’t even get along, but they still show up for this. I have to be there, not just for them, but for me too."

I bit my lip. I didn’t want to argue if it was a family thing, especially if it involved her brothers.

I just looked at her, feeling the loss already. 2 days without her felt impossible. My skin already felt cold just thinking about it. But if it mattered that much to her, I had to endure it. I had to be strong.

I leaned back against the desk just as some classmates walked in. They froze at the door when they saw us, their eyes going from me to Princess and back. They immediately turned around and left without saying a single word.

I barely noticed them. My mind was still stuck on the two days. 48 hours.

Then she spoke again, her voice sounding quiet in the big room.

"It’s not just Saturday and Sunday."

I frowned, a bad feeling growing in my stomach. "What do you mean?"

"A week."
