Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.

I am a fucking mess... a jinx. I don’t know what to call myself but I’m a fucking bad luck. It didn’t really get to my mind, not deep down, until this morning when I arrived at school. I haven’t seen the school board since last year, but seeing the ranking numbers today really put my heart to ache. The numbers don’t lie, and they were staring back at me like a physical blow.

Princess is dropping. She was top number one, the golden girl, the president everyone looked up to or feared. When I heard that she left the seat, she told me she just wanted to focus on something new, something different. She made it sound like a choice, a fresh start. But her scores are dropping and that is bad. For someone like Princess who loves being the top, who thrives on being the best in the room, why does she not care about her grades? It was a first priority, her main mission, and now it’s just slipping away like water through her fingers.

What is really happening? When I checked Oakgram, I saw so many haters comments. They weren’t even directed at me for once, but to Princess, asking why she ruined the family legacy and trashed the crown. Then someone said, Princess Kings was the best until that omega came into her life...

They might be right. The family strike thing started with me, the cracks in her perfect life appearing the moment we met.

All three strikes Princess lost were because of me, from getting me pregnant to losing to Yuki in that final showdown. If I had never come back to this town, if I had stayed away, then Princess would still be top 1. She would still be the school president with her head held high.

I am a bad omen to Princess Kings.

"Faye, Faye.." Sasha called out, her voice cutting through the fog in my head and bringing me out of my deep thoughts.

I slowly looked at her, blinking against the fluorescent lights. We were in an empty classroom, the air smelling of dry-erase markers and old dust. She was doing a presentation, pointing at the board. We were with Malo and Haley, the three of them looking at me with varying levels of concern.

"Yes," I answered looking at her, holding a marker in front of a white board. I didn’t even remember picking it up.

"Is everything alright? You haven’t said anything since we started.." Sasha said with a worried voice, her brow furrowed.

I sat up, trying to adjust my seating position. My back ached and the chair felt too small for my growing body. I felt heavy, both physically and mentally.

"Yes, everything is fine... what were we talking about again?" I asked, trying to sound present.

"About the campaign. Haley is running for school president and we are helping her with the strategy.." Sasha said.

Oh, that’s right. Since Princess stepped down, the throne was vacant. Anyone now can be president through elections, a real democratic race.

Haley is running for that position that my girlfriend used to be. My mind is not here, no matter how hard I tried to focus I just can’t stop thinking about the fact that I might be that girl’s downfall. I’m the anchor dragging her to the bottom of the ocean.

"Guys, am I a jinx?" I said, the words slipping out before I could stop them.

"Jinx? You are not a jinx, why did you say that?" Malo said, he was sitting beside me, his chair squeaking as he turned to face me.

"Ever since I entered Princess’s life, she has been going down the drain... they say your partner is behind your success, but I’m behind her downfall..." I looked down at my hands, my vision blurring.

"No, you are not.. Princess stepping down doesn’t have to do with you... she just wants to make a change, Faye. She’s tired of the same old thing.." Haley said, standing up and moving to stand by my side, her hand resting on the back of my chair.

"No, it’s not just that... her strikes are gone. I haven’t seen Princess talk to her grandfather in months and I have been exhausting her lately..." I muttered as tears fell from my eyes, hot and fast.

When I saw Princess this morning, I couldn’t recognize the girl from early this year. The sharp, untouchable Alpha was gone, replaced by someone who looked like she hadn’t slept in a week. It made me hate myself. I hated the fact that I was stressing her up with my late-night demands and my moods. Her falling grades are all because of me.

Then a thought came to me.

"I don’t know if I should contact Adam and tell him to help Princess talk to her grandfather, maybe he will help her settle since he is the favourite one..."

"No!" The three of them shouted at the same time. I flinched, looking up to their faces and wondering what was wrong with that tone. They looked panicked, their eyes wide.

"N-no need to call him... like Haley said, Princess wants to make a change, like another direction. She wants to build her own legacy, not by the one her ancestors laid out.." Malo said slowly, his voice careful, like he was reading from a paper he’d memorized.

"Yes," Haley snapped her fingers, agreeing to what Malo said with a little too much energy. "Living by traditions is a boring thing... the world is changing. Look at you, you are about to be a mother. That is a change. Princess is trying to be a mother, her life is changing because of that. She’s evolving."

"My mom gave birth to my little sister a month ago, that was a change and an addition..." Malo added, trying to help.

"You are not a jinx Faye, you are Princess’s Halo, her light. Because of you she is having her real family and I think that’s what matters to her... just don’t call Adam Kings, he is not.." Sasha said, her voice trailing off.

"He is not in town. I heard he is on a business trip, way out of reach.." Malo added, cutting Sasha off before she could finish her sentence.

"Let’s just focus on the campaign. Me becoming the first Oakland Highschool president after the Kings family reign..." Haley said, trying to steer the conversation back to the flyers and the slogans.

"Donuts?" Malo offered me a donut from his box, the sweet smell of glaze and sugar hitting me.

I just kept staring at my friends as they awkwardly tried to get my mind off the negative thoughts. I could see the effort in their eyes, the way they were trying to protect me from the truth or maybe from myself. My mind wasn’t fully off it, the guilt still sitting like a stone in my stomach, but watching them trying to cheer me up made me put on a smile. I took a bite of the donut, the sweetness cloying, as I watched Sasha and Haley plan their strategy to get the students’ votes. I hoped for their sake they were right, but the sight of that number two on the board still burned in the back of my mind.
