After the main race was over, it was a success since the obstacle had been eliminated. The biker rider who had been winning for weeks straight without taking Leo’s drugs was nowhere around. The track finally had no obstacles, the tension in the air lifting just enough for the night to wrap up without any more unneeded drama.

After everyone left and the club closed, it was past 2 a.m. Only Malo, Beam, Kiara, and the underground staffs in charge of cleaning the streets remained.

Malo was busy picking up plastics and litter around the arena, his movements slow and mechanical, while Beam kept watch, standing with her arms crossed as she made sure the workers did everything properly. She scanned the area with a sharp eye, tracking every movement to ensure nothing was missed. Kiara, well, she was doing nothing as usual, just sitting in one corner of the arena, chewing gum and scrolling through her phone. Her face was illuminated by the dull blue glow of her screen, completely detached from the physical labor happening all around her.

Beam stared at her and shook her head in disbelief, a quiet scoff escaping her lips at the blatant laziness, while Malo tried to hurry with his work so he could finally sleep. All he did was yawn as he picked up litter with the litter pickers, moving around with sleepy eyes. He dragged his feet across the asphalt, desperately counting down the minutes until he could close his eyes and forget about this entire night.

Just when they were about to finish, they heard the sound of an engine starting. It grew louder by the second, a deep, aggressive roar that vibrated right through the soles of their shoes. The streetlights were off, so they couldn’t see who was making the sound. The darkness felt thick and suffocating, swallowing up the edges of the track. Then suddenly, the bike’s headlight came on. A blinding beam of white cut through the blackness. Beam and one of the workers were standing together when it happened, the bright light shining directly at them, forcing them to shield their eyes from the sudden glare.

Then the bike sped toward them at full speed. The tires screeched against the concrete as it charged like a wild animal. Luckily, they managed to move out of the way before it crashed into them, throwing themselves wildly to the side as the wind from the passing vehicle whipped against their faces.

The motorcycle slammed into the barricade. Metal twisted and scraped against metal with a deafening crunch. The engine was still running, emitting a high-pitched whine, the tires still spinning uselessly in the air, but there was no one on the bike. The leather seat was completely empty, the vehicle operating entirely on its own.

"What was that?" Kiara asked as she stood up from where she was sitting. Her phone dropped slightly in her hand, her bored expression vanishing into one of genuine confusion.

Everyone looked around, trying to find whoever was behind it. Their eyes darted from the smoking wreckage to the shadows at the edge of the track, the silence stretching out painfully. Then, in the middle of the road, they saw a shadow standing there, holding a helmet. The figure loomed in the darkness, completely still, like a ghost that had just materialized out of thin air.

It was dark, the suspense dragging on slowly, the quiet clicking of the bike’s cooling engine the only sound in the night, so Kiara clapped her hands and the streetlights immediately turned on. The sudden flood of artificial light illuminated the entire straightaway, casting long, stark shadows across the ground.

Standing in the middle of the road was the red-wine-haired biker girl. Her clothes were slightly dusty, but her posture was perfectly straight, radiating an intense, hostile energy. Her eyes were fixed on Beam, who was still on the ground, struggling to catch her breath after diving out of the way. Without warning, the biker girl threw her helmet straight at Beam. The heavy object flew through the air with terrifying velocity. Beam managed to dodge, rolling quickly to the left, but the helmet struck the worker who had just been trying to stand up behind her.

The impact crushed his skull instantly, killing him on the spot. A horrific, wet crunch echoed through the arena, and the worker slumped to the ground like a doll with its strings cut, entirely motionless.

Malo blinked repeatedly, unable to believe what he had just witnessed. His breath hitched in his throat, a cold sweat breaking out across his forehead. Horror spread across his face, the kind that looked close to tears. His chest heaved as panic took over. He tried looking for an exit, but his mind couldn’t focus, the paths out of the arena blurring together in his mind. His legs weakened, turning to absolute jellyfish, and he crawled behind a solid barricade to hide, pressing his back against the cold metal and curling into a tight ball.

On the other hand, Kiara slammed her hand against a red button beside her, trying to alert the bouncers at the entrance, but no one came. She mashed the button over and over, her knuckles turning white, but the silence from the corridors told her they were entirely on their own.

The biker girl lunged at Beam, throwing her onto the concrete ground before she could fully recover. Beam slammed hard against it, the breath knocked clear out of her lungs as the solid impact rattled her ribs. She grunted, trying to get back up, her muscles straining against the weight. Her eyes glowed a bright, fierce color as she prepared to fight back, channeling her inner strength, but the biker was faster than her attacks. Every movement Beam made was countered before she could even complete it.

The biker grabbed Beam by the throat with one hand, lifting her off the ground. Beam’s legs dangled helplessly, her boots scraping uselessly against the air as the biker tightened her grip around her neck, choking her. Beam’s face began to turn a dangerous shade of red, her hands clawing desperately at the iron grip around her windpipe, but the fingers didn’t budge even a fraction of an inch.

"What are you morons standing there for? Do something!" Kiara shouted at the workers, who had frozen in fear since the people hired to protect the place were nowhere to be seen. Her voice cracked with rare panic, her eyes wide as she looked at the remaining staff.

One of the workers let his eyes glow, a burst of adrenaline breaking through his paralysis. Claws burst out from his fingertips with a sharp tearing sound as he lunged at the biker girl from the side. He was about to attack her, aiming straight for her exposed neck, but without even turning around, she used her free hand to rip his heart out. Her arm blurred, plunging straight into his chest and pulling back in one fluid, horrific motion.

Seeing that, no one else dared move forward. They feared for their lives, attacks dropping slightly as they backed away. Her speed was beyond anything they could match. She was far too fast, nowhere near their level. The sheer gap in power left them completely paralyzed.

"What are you?" Kiara asked, her voice trembling yet unreadable. She stepped back, her heels clicking softly against the pavement as she tried to comprehend the rider standing in front of them.

The biker didn’t answer. Her attention remained solely on Beam, ignoring Kiara entirely. Her face had no expression, she dug her claws into Beam’s chest, the sharp points tearing easily through the fabric of her clothes and pressing against her pounding heart. Beam screamed in pain, a raw, agonizing sound that cut through the empty arena.

Just as the biker was about to rip her hand out completely, Princess appeared from behind and tore out the biker’s heart first. She moved like a streak of lightning, her hand striking with absolute precision and force, bypassing the biker’s defenses in a fraction of a second.

The biker collapsed to the ground, dead, her body hitting the asphalt with a dull thud.

Beam’s body nearly gave out, the lack of oxygen and the pain taking their toll, but Princess caught her before she could fall. She wrapped her arms around Beam, lowering her gently to the ground.

"Are you alright?" Princess asked, helping Beam sit down somewhere safe against a nearby tire wall. Her hands were steady, but her eyes were frantic with worry. She removed Beam’s jacket and shirt, revealing the claw wounds. The flesh was torn open, blood welling up rapidly from the deep gashes.

"I’ll call an ambulance," Kiara said quickly. Her fingers flew across her phone screen, her usual calm demeanor completely shattered as she dialed the emergency number.

"Is it bad?" Beam muttered, blood staining her lips as she struggled to keep her eyes open. Her voice was barely a whisper. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Really, really bad. I can literally see your beating heart through this hole..." Princess gasped. Her hands shook as she hovered them over the wound, unsure of how to stop the heavy bleeding.

Her face suddenly turned pale, the color draining from her cheeks in an instant, and she slumped forward against Beam, her body going completely limp.

Beam’s eyes widened in shock as she lifted her head and saw the biker girl standing there... holding Princess’s heart. The dead girl was on her feet, while Princess’s heart still pulsed weakly in her bloody hand.
