After finding a way to calm my heat down. Spoilers, it did not calm down, but I was still okay to walk around. My body still felt hot under my clothes, the kind of heat that sat under the skin and refused to go away, until you do what you have to do. But at least I could move. At least I could think a little.

I went straight to the school toilet to wash the blood off my hands.

The smell of iron still clung to my fingers. My nails had dug so deep earlier that thin cuts had opened across my palm. They had already started closing, but the blood had dried around my skin.

I turned on the tap and held my hands under the water.

Cold water ran over my fingers. It stung at first, then slowly eased the tight feeling in my palm. The red washed away in thin streams down the sink.

I kept my eyes on the water for a moment, breathing slowly.

My heat was still there. It pulsed faintly through my body, like a slow fire refusing to die.

I rubbed my hands together under the water, watching the last of the blood disappear. My reflection stared back at me from the mirror above the sink. My hair was messy, my face slightly flushed.

I grabbed a paper towel and wiped my hands dry.

I had just finished wiping my hands to leave when someone entered.

The door opened behind me with a soft creak.

I didn’t bother turning at first. I just tossed the used paper towel into the bin.

Then I heard the heels.

Kiara walked into the toilet and stopped a sink away from me.

She didn’t even look surprised to see me.

She set her purse down beside the sink and leaned closer to the mirror, pulling out a lipstick.

She started fixing her makeup.

I didn’t care. I didn’t even want to speak with her.

My only plan was to leave.

But she was the one who said the first word.

"Why did you come back?"

That was the first thing that came out of her mouth while she was putting lipstick on.

She tilted her head slightly, slowly tracing the red color across her lips in the mirror.

"When you left, I thought you left for good. Now you are back. Why?"

I stared at her reflection for a second.

"I don’t fucking owe you an explanation," I said.

She pressed her lips together, checking the lipstick in the mirror.

"You and your brother have always been an obstacle," she said.

Then she turned and came closer to me.

Her heels clicked softly against the floor as she stopped in front of me.

"Princess belongs to me," she said quietly.

"You might be having her pups, but I am the one who owns her heart. She is mine."

She leaned closer when she said the last words, her voice dropping to a whisper.

I stared at her for a second.

"Okay," I said.

"She is yours. Fucking have her. I don’t give a fuck."

I shrugged one shoulder slightly.

"You two really fit each other. So can you fucking move so I can leave?"

"We are not done talking. You..."

"I said get the fuck out of my way, bitch."

My patience was running thin.

I hate this kind of shit.

The pointless confrontation. The fake pride.

One more word from her and I would have to fucking punch her.

"You have always wanted your way with Princess," she continued, ignoring my warning.

She let out a scoff.

"I am the only one Princess fucks, and you fucking got what I have been..."

She looked me up and down slowly.

Her lips curled slightly.

"You don’t even wear brands. You are not even classy..."

Alright. I have had enough of this. But I won’t punch her.

I just have to give her what she wants to hear.

"You are right," I said calmly.

"I am not busty. I don’t have a curvy body. I don’t wear brands."

I folded my arms loosely.

"I don’t put on makeup to hide my beautiful face, because I am already beautiful."

Her expression twitched slightly.

"I am not even classy."

I tilted my head slightly.

"Even this morning I had a pizza battle with my nephew."

I paused.

"I am not what Princess likes, but I am carrying her pups."

Her eyes hardened.

"She even fucks me whenever I tell her to."

I gave her a devilish smirk. My words were affecting her.

Her jaw tightened slightly.

"Look over there," I said, pointing toward the sink beside us.

"She put my thigh on her shoulder and fucking ate me like she hadn’t eaten for days."

Her breathing changed.

She shouted and lunged forward.

Her hand swung toward my face.

But I was faster. I caught her wrist halfway.

Her palm stopped inches from my cheek.

I slowly lowered her hand away from my face.

"I wouldn’t want to slap me."

I leaned slightly closer to her.

"Imagine Princess seeing a fucking bruise on my face."

I watched her expression carefully.

"I wonder what she is going to do to you."

I tilted my head slightly.

"She really cares about her pups..."

Her teeth clenched.

"You bitch."

"No," I said calmly.

"You are the bitch."

I released her wrist.

"You think you can have your cake and eat it."

I stepped slightly closer to her.

"Just because you taste the two doesn’t mean they belong to you."

Her eyes narrowed.

"What do you mean by that?"

I exhaled slowly.

I am not the kind of person who stoops so low. But if I am pushed, I give people exactly what they ask for.

As long as they get their own medicine.

"How should I say it?"

I tapped my chin lightly.

"Screwing both friends might get you nowhere."

Her face went pale.

"You don’t know what you are talking about," she said quickly.

"You don’t know anything."

She took a step forward.

"You better stay in your limits..."

"I was in my limit," I replied.

"Then you made me cross it."

I looked straight into her eyes.

"Imagine if I tell Princess that you are banging her best friend."

Her expression froze.

"She might not believe me at first," I continued.

"But the doubt will be there... she is going to gather the puzzle and in no time, she will find out."

I saw it then. The fear in her face.

Her confidence cracked for a moment.

"What do you want?" she asked quietly.

"I want nothing but for you to stay away from me."

She stared at me for a few seconds. Then she slowly stepped aside. She moved out of my way to let me pass.

Finally. This shit is over.

I turned and walked toward the door.

I was about to grab the doorknob.

"Has Princess told you?" she said behind me.

I paused.

"What?"

"Did Princess tell you that she promised to marry me?"

Fucking bitch. I don’t give a damn.

I am out of here.

"Once we get married," she continued slowly, "I will legally be her pups’ mom."

My hand froze on the doorknob.

I stopped moving.

Which pups is this bitch talking about?

Her voice came again behind me.

"The pups you are carrying will legally be mine the moment they arrive into this world."

For a second, everything went quiet.

My fingers tightened slowly around the metal doorknob.

The heat in my body flared again, stronger this time. My jaw clenched.
