Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.

Guru and I were busy ice fishing. We sat down on a heavy log that had been dragged near the hole in the ice. Beside us was our fishing equipment, tangled lines and shiny lures reflecting the pale winter sun. We both had our own bucket sitting on the ice between us, trying to see who will capture the most fish. It was a silent competition, the kind we always had back when I lived here.

"This is just like old times... I never thought I will be fishing with you again.." Guru said. He reached into a small cooler and handed me a mug filled with hot choco. The steam rose in curls, hitting my face with the smell of rich cocoa.

"Me too, I never thought we would do this.." I said after sipping my choco. The warmth spread through my chest, chasing away the mountain chill.

I sat there for a moment, looking at the dark circle of water in the ice. I don’t know where to start from. My mind was racing with things I wanted to say. I wanted to apologize for the way my brother left without thanking him for welcoming us into his home and not contacting him after. Paye moving us without a word, and it felt like a heavy weight on my conscience.

"About Paye.." I started, my voice small.

"You don’t need to apologize for your brother’s doing... he makes his decisions and I am not the kind to hold grudges.." he said. He took a long drag from his own mug, staring out at the white horizon. He looked at peace, which only made me feel more guilty.

"What, I wasn’t fucking going to apologize..." I said awkwardly, trying to play it cool. I looked away, pretending to check my fishing line.

"Then what were you going to say?" He glanced at me, one eyebrow raised in a way that made me feel like I wasten years old again.

"That Paye and Kaye are missing out, this choco is tastier than ever..." I said slowly trying to make sense. I took another big gulp of the drink, burning my tongue a little bit just to have an excuse not to speak.

Guru gave me a look that said he knew I was going to apologize on his behalf. He’s always been able to read me like a book, no matter how much I try to hide what I’m thinking.

"You fucking still blink your eyes when you try to lie.." he muttered. Just then, his rod jerked. He gave the line a sharp tug and caught a fish with his fishing hook, pulling a silver thing out of the water.

"That’s five right, I still stuck on number two.." I said looking at the two small fishes in my bucket. They looked pathetic compared to his growing pile.

"I still got the game.." he said teasing with a smirk.

That gave me jealousy. I gripped my rod tighter, staring into the hole like I could command the fish to bite. I wanted to catch more fish just to wipe that look off his face.

We continue to race to increase our fish numbers. The afternoon went by in a blur of cold hands and sudden splashes. I finally got to his number, now seven each. I started laughing at him, pointing at my bucket and bragging about my skills. He just shook his head and said it was because he did not put any bait on his hook, showing me his fishing line which was indeed bare.

I just glared at him. Like, why let me win and say it to my face? It took the victory right out of it.

"So I heard you now have an app now" I said, changing the subject. I remembered Princess talking about some app used to find Guru when she was looking for me.

"Yes, Alex and Katie created months ago, it’s called Rouge... got so many clients, your girlfriend is one of them..." he said.

I smiled hearing him call Princess my girlfriend. It felt right coming from him. When Guru accommodate me and my brother, he was a bounty hunter. People hire him to do odd work, capturing, killing of wild beasts. At first we were scared of him, with his scars and his quiet way of moving, but when he showed us generosity and hospitality, we grew fond of him. He became a father to me and Kaye, the only real one I ever had.

He happens to be an Alpha-born without a wolf.

He doesn’t shift during the full moon nor do his eyes glow like the others. He used all kinds of weapons for survival, relying on his guns and his other gear instead of claws and fangs. And he is not to be dared with. He knows how to hack the big wolves, finding their weaknesses and exploiting them before they even know he’s there.

Guru showed me his work app, scrolling through the interface and bragging about the coding. Well I was the one who suggested he gets an app back in the day, so I felt a little bit of pride seeing it actually work. I just listened to how he talked about the business, the pride in his voice making me smile.

"You know I wasn’t going to accept your girlfriend’s gig, but then I saw her dp picture, your angry face was over it then I changed my mind.." he said, chuckling. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

I groaned, covering my face with my hand. With all the pictures she has of me, Princess chose the one where I was boning my face. It was during detention class back in Oakland, where Princess was busy monitoring me like a hawk. I was angry that she was always around me, never giving me a second to breathe. One time I stared at her angrily while she was reading and she took a picture of my face. She showed me later, saying I looked ugly when I am angry. That was the time I used to hate her, had no idea that one day it will become her profile picture. It’s funny how things work out. It turned out to be one of her best pictures of me.

Knowing Guru has Yuki and he keeps her captive in a secret location made me feel a bit uneasy, but also relieved. Princess said she was going to kill her, but Yuki mentioned that she linked her life to my pups with a witch’s help. I presume it’s with Helen’s help, but I don’t remember that event. It must have been when I was unconscious.

"Do you know I was the moon wolf?" I asked, the question hanging in the cold air.

"I did." He said, his voice flat and unsurprised.

"Wait you also knew... I can’t believe you knew what I was and you didn’t tell me.. how did you know?" I voiced out. I felt a surge of shock.

"The day you got injured from the cutting woods I helped you with your injury then your blood dropped on my gunshot wound and it healed... that was when I realized that you were the moon wolf... and I am guessing that the reason your brother took off because he thought I was going to do something about it..." Guru explained.

I blinked, the memory coming back to me. That was a week before we moved.

So Paye waited for Guru to leave town for work and immediately he woke us and said we were leaving. He didn’t even give us time to rethink. And Paye said Guru had another family waiting for us. That dude really knows how to lie when he wants to. He was just scared that Guru would sell me out or that the secret would get us killed.

We spent the whole afternoon bonding, reminiscing about old times and the trouble we used to get into. Guru kept telling me that his home is always open to me and Kaye, that we were welcome anytime and we will always be his children, blood related or not. It made my throat feel tight. We took pictures with every fish we caught, posing with the buckets and the rods, before finally deciding to go back home and barbecue them all for the final feast.
