Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.

The week has been good, not good. Not because the dead is alive, we are still working on it, finding a way to figure out how Peamah came back alive.

My reason I said the week was bad was because of Princess. She really did ghost me. She never came to class, having her private class. I never once saw her. One time I thought I felt her around the hallway and I turned and she wasn’t there. During sports time she acted like she doesn’t know me at all. She sprinted past me when she and Beam were busy racing each other.

Sometimes I caught the wind moving when she passed.

That faint caramel scent of an Alpha brushing the air for half a second. By the time I turned my head she was already gone.

Like she wasn’t even there. She only texted once a day and it was about asking about her pups, nothing else. No teasing, calling me omega.

Just simple messages. How are my pups.

Nothing else. No smiley face. No extra words. No insults. No jokes.

She really meant business.

Sometimes I stared at the screen longer than I should have before replying.

They are fine.

That was it, I did not reply with check emoji.

I don’t know but it is complete. Like even if I wanted her away, I still want her near.

The silence she left behind felt louder than when she used to annoy me. The only time I got to see her was my first maternity class. It was meant for only me but she wanted to be part of it. We were in the same class but she was distant, her chair was far away. I took a glimpse of her, but her eyes were on the teacher the whole time, listening to the introduction to motherhood.

She didn’t even look at me. Not once. Her back was straight. Her arms folded loosely on the desk.

She listened like this was the most important class in the world. The teacher kept talking about responsibilities and pregnancy care.

Princess just nodded occasionally. Like she was memorizing every word.

Wow, she is really good at this silence thing.

It was Saturday. No school and no work today. It was afternoon when Malo texted me to meet him at the mall.

Malo was already seated when I arrived. We were in the eatery with Sasha as we discussed a way. Our plan sounded simple, one of us has to get close to Peamah to check for a heartbeat and if he doesn’t have one we don’t know what to do.

Even saying it out loud sounded stupid. But none of us had a better idea. Even if we have come to the conclusion that Peamah doesn’t really remember what happened that night, saving me from getting killed, we still want to know how he is alive and why he killed those people.

My fingers kept tapping my glass. Ice clinked softly.

I noticed Beam and Kiara outside the mall. There was no Princess. They were searching around like they were looking for something. Then Beam spotted me and she and Kiara walked into the eatery.

"Hi Beam, Hi Kiara." Sasha waved at them and I just sipped my iced tea. Malo was still mad at Beam for trashing him so he didn’t wave. Beam came to our table while Kiara stood where she was.

"Sasha, have you seen Princess?" Beam asked.

Her voice sounded tense.

"No, I haven’t seen her since yesterday. I asked for off today and I am not working today." Sasha replied.

Then Beam turned to me like she doesn’t want to talk to me but she has to.

"What about you?" she asked.

"Me?" I pointed at myself.

"Yes you, you should know where she is since you happen to be... having her pups."

"I don’t know, I haven’t seen her. Is it like I am her keeper or something? Is she a baby to be missing?" I blurted out. Why ask me about her whereabouts?

Beam wasn’t having it. She hit the table with both hands like she was venting her frustration.

The sound made Malo flinch.

"Every single time I have to be the one doing this..." she said out loud as she stood straight and went back to Kiara.

"Does she know where she is?" Kiara asked Beam.

"No. Let’s go check some other places then. If we can’t find her... we wait," Beam said as they both left.

I watched them disappear through the door.

"Wow, at least she could have asked me, even if I was going to say no..." Malo said, shaking his head.

"So where were we?" Sasha said, proceeding to continue our conversation. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

But my mind was still on Princess.

"Do you know where she could be, Malo?" I asked.

"No, I don’t know. Princess has this habit of disappearing. She will show up and make up some dumb excuses, then buy Kiara something fancy to apologize. It’s nothing new," Malo said.

"Why does she disappear, does it make sense..." I said, wondering why Princess would be doing that.

"Hey, hey let’s stay on the same page. We are talking about Peamah. Let’s talk about Peamah, not Princess, who happens to be in some corner having a breakdown. We need to find out how Peamah is alive...."

I stopped listening to whatever she was spitting. Nothing she was going to say would make me stop thinking about where Princess was. Was she having a breakdown and was it because of me? I needed to find her too. I wanted to know if she was okay.

My chest felt tight. The thought of her sitting somewhere alone didn’t sit well with me.

"I need to go pee," I said, not waiting for her to reply.

I stood up quickly.

I tried to think of where she could be. I tried listening but I couldn’t focus. Then I took the elevator and when I entered I remembered seeing her one time in the elevator. But I don’t know which one.

So I came out and stood there looking at the doors, trying to find her scent. This would have been easy if I hadn’t been drinking moon water.

I closed my eyes trying to find that warm, sweet caramel scent of an Alpha.

People walked past me. Perfume. Food. Soap.

Different smells mixing together. I ignored them. Focused.

"Which one are you in bitch..." I muttered, letting my sense of smell find her.

Then something faint brushed my nose. Sweet. Caramel.

My eyes snapped open. I turned slowly.

Then I stood in front of one of the elevators. The button light was still on. I pushed it and it slid open.

I don’t know when my cheeks widened, but it did the moment I saw her sitting there holding a book.
