Oh, she is still apologizing. My heart twisted a little bit. I know I wasn’t in my right mind during the time in the hospital, and I said some things I shouldn’t have, but I really did not mean to put the blame on her for everything that happened.

I raised her hand from my waist, feeling her fingers interlace with mine, and I kissed the back of her hand before putting it back to my waist. I wanted her to feel that I wasn’t holding onto the past anymore.

"It was my duty to protect you and the pups..." she said, her Alpha side trying to take over even while she was high. But I cut her off before she could dive deeper into that guilt.

"Just because you were born an Alpha doesn’t mean it’s your duty to be the protector... Princess it’s our duty to protect each other.... Your life is mine just as mine is yours... Our pups we will protect them together.. if that’s the reason you are acting all grown up, stop it let’s be teenagers while it lasts." I said. I turned around in her arms, looking up into those blue eyes that were still a bit hazy. I reached up, pulling her head down so I could kiss her on the lips. "I love you Princess Kings.." I confessed.

"I love you too Faye Grande..." she said as she kissed me back.

We kissed passionately, lingering in each other, tasting the smoke and the sweetness of the night until we pulled away. I was breathless, my heart hammering against my ribs like a trapped bird.

I saw in Princess’s eyes she wanted more than just the kiss. The pupils were wide, and the way she looked at me made my knees feel weak.

I smiled because I was finally going to get what I have been craving for since I was discharged from the hospital.
