Faye’s POV

It was Monday morning and I was still pissed. Three reasons. I took a drug from some guy I thought was friendly, I had sex on Friday night and I don’t remember it, and the person I had sex with was someone I hate.

The anger sat heavy in my chest. It did not cool down. It burned.

When I got home on Saturday, I tried to recall Friday night by staying under the shower for hours, trying to remember. The water ran cold at some point but I did not step out. I leaned my forehead against the wall and forced myself to think.

Flashes came to me vividly. I felt my lips on someone. Ifelt my body on someone.

Skin against skin.

Breathing. Heavy.

I think we also showered together or something. Water running down my back. Hands sliding. A laugh. Or maybe a moan.

They were just flashes. Vivid and confusing. Not enough to form a full memory. Just enough to make my stomach twist.

And it was all because of that boy from Class 10A, Malone Griffin.

I couldn’t focus during class. The teacher’s voice sounded far away. My pen kept tapping against my notebook. Tap. Tap. Tap. My mind kept drifting. Every time I blinked, something else flashed.

A hand on my waist. whisper in my ear. A scent. Strawberry mint. I clenched my jaw.

I waited until lunchtime. Each minute dragged. I couldn’t find him in the hallway, so I went straight to the cafeteria.

I stood at the entrance, scanning the room slowly. My eyes moved from table to table until I spotted him. He was with two blonde guys, talking and laughing like nothing happened. Like he did not drug me. Like my weekend was not a blur because of him.

I felt something snap.

I went to the canteen table, grabbed a tray, and walked straight up to him without announcing my presence. My steps were quick. Firm.

I slammed the back of his head hard with the tray. The sound echoed. His head hit the table.

Everyone gasped as chairs scraped the floor. The two blonde guys stood up immediately.

I didn’t care what the consequences were. I was ready. My heart was pounding but my face stayed still. I wanted to see this motherfucker bleed.

He slowly stood up and faced me with a growl. His eyes glowed yellow. Not bright, but enough to notice.

He was pissed.

"What was that for?" he growled.

I didn’t move. My grip tightened around the tray.

"What did you make me take?" I said, lifting the tray again.

Before I could hit him, someone grabbed the tray from behind. The force stopped my arm mid air. I tried to pull it back, but they held it tightly.

I inhaled. That scent from behind me was familiar. I slowly turned.

Princess.

Of course it had to be her. Always stepping in, acting stronger and in control.

She dragged the tray from my hand and tossed it to the floor like it weighed nothing.

"What is happening in my cafeteria?" she demanded.

Her voice cut through the noise. One of the two blondes stepped forward.

"This girl attacked MG with no valid reason, Princess," he said.

Princess turned to Malo.

"MG, what happened here?"

"I don’t know what I did to her, but she appeared from nowhere and hit me with a tray. Look, my head bleeds," Malo said. He touched his head and showed her the blood on his fingers.

A thin line of red. Princess did not even blink.

"Jake and Ray, take him to the nurse’s office," she said.

Immediately, the blondes escorted Malo out of the cafeteria.

People were still staring. Whispering. Phones slightly raised. She noticed.

"Will you all go back to what you were doing? I presume break is over," she said.

Her tone was calm but final.

Immediately, everyone returned to their seats like nothing had happened.

Then she faced me. Her eyes dropped slightly before meeting mine again.

"And you, Omega. You have violated the same offense again. I see you like to hit people. You have detention for a whole week."

"A week? That’s five days. It’s supposed to be one day," I argued.

My fists clenched at my sides.

"Well, this is your second time and you did not learn from your first. If you want to belong in Oak High, you have to respect the rules and regulations," she said.

She did not wait for me to respond. She turned and walked away. Just like that.

I stood there, breathing hard.

I can’t believe I have to stay extra for a whole week straight. I can’t believe this bitch controls everything around here.

I will not let her control me.

Detention felt longer than usual. The clock ticked loudly. Every second reminded me that she had power here. That she could decide things with a sentence.

I scribbled on a paper without looking at it. My mind drifted again. Her face in the cafeteria. Her scent. Friday night. I shut my eyes tightly.

After spending hours in detention, I finally left the classroom and headed home.

The air outside felt different. Malo was waiting at the school gate. Of course he was.

"Hey, what’s up, Freshwolf?" he said.

"I have a name. Don’t call me Freshwolf. And I am pissed at you," I said as I walked past him.

He followed.

"Okay, Faye. About what happened on Friday night, I am truly sorry for my actions. I thought you knew how to use the moon pill, so I gave it to you to relax you a bit, but I think it messed you up."

I stopped walking.

"Messed me up? Dude, I fucking don’t remember what happened that night. You have no idea where I woke up," I said.

My voice rose slightly, he blinked.

"Did you wake up in your own vomit?"

"Ew, no. I woke up somewhere better."

The words slipped out before I could stop them.

Better? No. That is not better.

I would rather wake up in my own vomit than in the bed of someone who is meant to be my enemy.

I resumed walking.

"What did you give me anyway?" I asked, wanting to change the topic.

"It’s called the moon pill. One of Leo’s drugs. They say it helps bring the full moon to you," he whispered.

"What does that mean?"

"I have no idea," he said quickly. "Oh, that reminds me. You once mentioned that you wanted to repair your phone screen. I have someone at the mall who will repair it for you."

I glanced at him.

"Before you say another word, it’s on me. I will pay as a way for you to forgive and forget what happened on Friday night."

I hesitated.

My phone screen has been cracked for weeks. I need it fixed. I cannot afford it right now.

He looked at me, almost nervous.

He said I could not disagree because I really need my phone back, and if it’s free, that’s great.
