"He actually temporarily suppressed all the filthy power inside his left eye?" Lucien watched the now mostly rational strongman and couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

Although the filthy power from hellish civilization is a terrifying and troublesome force, after all, it is only an ability on the level of a first-level wizard. When facing an opponent at the second-level wizard level, in terms of raw power, it seemed rather inadequate, at best it could only cause some trouble due to the special nature of the ability.

It sneered, sticking out its tongue, and looked at Lucien with eyes that were chillingly cold, as if it were staring at a lamb ready for slaughter. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

However, after noticing Lucien’s gaze, the Chaos Goblin spread its hands and bared a full row of sharp teeth with a grin. "I’ve heard of wizards before, a pity I never had the chance to taste... to taste the flavor of a wizard. But today... I can fulfill that wish."

As the Chaos Goblin spoke, its tone was thick with malice and mockery, paired with its raspy voice, like metal scraping against leather, which easily irritated, making one want to directly attack it.

But this was precisely the plan of the Chaos Goblin. As a "lesser race" of the goblin priests, it also possessed a certain ability to twist and manipulate emotions. If it could anger Lucien with these little tricks, it could gain more advantages in the upcoming battle.

Lucien turned and ran, but as he looked down, the corner of his mouth slightly curled up.

"Trying to escape?" The ruby-like eyes of the Chaos Goblin flickered. An invisible wave enveloped Lucien, making him feel as if the resistance around his body increased dozens of times over, as though he had stepped into an invisible mire, making movement particularly strenuous.

This was one of the lower abilities of "twisted" power, and at that moment the Chaos Goblin was using this Racial Talent to twist the air around Lucien!

"Hmm hmm hmm..." chuckled the Chaos Goblin coldly, striving to compress the twisted air around Lucien, wanting to use this to directly crush Lucien into a meat patty, or at least immobilize his movements to buy time for the strongman’s attack.

"Hmm." Lucien grunted, but also mustered his Spiritual Field to confront the twisted air around him.

"I’m in no hurry, tsk tsk tsk..." While the Chaos Goblin was fully controlling the surrounding air, it didn’t stop talking, trying to obtain further advantage through verbal provocation.

Lucien turned his head to look towards the strongman who was calmly gathering strength on the side, while fine sweat appeared on his cheeks.

Rustle rustle... The Wizard’s Notes flipped rapidly, and then a somewhat tattered page flew out. One could vaguely feel the rich elemental fluctuations from the fractured traces on the paper as if something powerful was sealed within this page of beastskin.

"Heh heh heh..." chuckled the Chaos Goblin, as if it had anticipated this.

With a wave of his hand, a decree appeared out of thin air, golden text at that moment activated, and in the next transformed into special golden chains.

"This spell ceases to function immediately!"

The Chaos Goblin looked at Lucien with a fierce gaze. He pointed at the page about to release the spell, and suddenly chains instantly wrapped around the book page, securely restraining it, and the witchcraft stored inside was extinguished on the spot by the strong suppression of the nobles of the Land of Reality.

And the strongman had finished gathering power; the short spear was launched at that moment.

The Chaos Goblin’s face revealed a ferocious and bloodthirsty smile; he seemed to have already seen Lucien being pierced by the spear, dying in agony.

But in the next moment, his body jolted, and slowly he lowered his head, looking at the ancient short spear that had pierced through his own chest, his eyes filled with bewilderment, pain, resentment, and disbelief.

He had not guarded against the strongman at all, because in his view, the other had been controlled by his elders, a most loyal servant on his side, even more trustworthy than his own kin in some situations.

But why...

Struggling, the Chaos Goblin realized his life was rapidly fading away with his heart completely pierced through, and only by relying on the powerful will of a second-level wizard was he able to hang on for the moment. Raising his head, he looked forward, meeting the cold eyes of the strongman player.
