"Ugh..." Baby Helman’s originally wrinkly face turned an unnatural shade of red, and he began to burp, even exhaling a faint gray mist from his mouth.

The Maid who had just been trembling was no longer shaking but naturally began to tidy up the dirty clothes in the crib. Her eyes, now a grayish-white, cleared as the grayish-white stream of air dissipated, and her pupils reappeared, looking no different from before.

He had even confirmed through further "Mind Reading" that there were three players among these children, but these players were guests visiting, not from within the Mondok family.

"Lurah, you’ll play the role of the Countess next!" Daya handed a cloth doll to Lucien, her dark eyes then looking at him, "You seem a bit unhappy today?"

"No, not at all..." Lucien didn’t know why, but when Daya’s eyes focused on him, he suddenly felt a tingling sensation.

His head instinctively leaned backward, yet he found nothing, that tingling feeling seeming to be just a misjudgment.

"What’s wrong?"

"Nothing... It’s nothing." Lucien felt somewhat guilty, he glanced around, but did not know what to say, and he was even unclear about his next steps to break the situation.

While distractedly managing the children, he rapidly recalled information about Chaos Goblins and goblin priests in his mind.

He was quite clear about the information on Chaos Goblins, but the details on goblin priests, even in the records of Hercules, were rather vague.

After all, this was a kind of creature comparable to gods, and even the simplest information was not easily obtained.

In the information Hercules provided to Lucien, there was only one sentence about the abilities of the goblin priest, which was that he possessed the special abilities of "distortion" and "control."

"Distortion and control... Such a general statement doesn’t sound like abilities but more like a concept..."

However, the characteristic of distortion made Lucien feel somewhat perplexed. The last time he heard such a term was in relation to the Hell Blood Serpent and the Crimson Pages.

The abilities of the Crimson Pages tended more towards "contamination" and "assimilation," able to assimilate some flesh and blood creatures into some kind of hellish entities, with distortion being a byproduct of the contamination and assimilation process.

But according to this logic, could the ability of "distortion" refer to some abnormal modification of items or creatures?

Without waiting for Daya to say anything, Lucien hurried out.

"Sir!" Two maids responsible for looking after them called out quietly behind him.

Yet Lucien, pretending not to have heard, dashed forward. Although this action might seem impolite, it was an attempt to escape the "invisible arrangements."

After all, using the "urgent need to pee" excuse combined with the identity of a child, he now had an excuse to rush into any room.

But the next moment, Lucien’s expression dimmed slightly because just as he rushed out the door, he happened to encounter a maid carrying fruits.

"Miss, please slow down." The maid looked at Lucien; without waiting for Lucien to react, she smiled gently, speaking in a polite and gentle voice, "The restroom is behind, just go straight. Or... should I take you there?"
