"Those two fluctuations of consciousness just now, were they... Carly and Edison?"

Lucien felt the familiar stirrings within his spiritual core and quickly pictured two silhouettes in his mind, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. However, due to the presence of others observing, he still kept his emotions in check, feeling a warmness around his heart.

Even from Carly and Edison’s consciousness fluctuations, he sensed a caring inquiry.

"I wonder how they’ve been doing at Greybone Academy during this time..." Lucien pondered, his gaze softening.

"Two-footed, furry freak, to still have the leisure to think about these things, you really forget the pain when the wound heals..." Just then, a somewhat languid voice rose in Lucien’s mind.

Following that, Earl Sanaxis let out an exclamation, "Two-footed, furry freak, I haven’t seen you for days, how did you manage to provoke these things?"

"These things?" Lucien’s mind stirred, and just as he was about to ask something, he heard Earl Sanaxis continue speaking with a rare seriousness in his voice.

"Kid, remember what I’m telling you, control your emotions! You must control your emotions!" Earl Sanaxis spoke urgently, his voice becoming somewhat subdued, "Not good, I can’t say more, or I’ll be targeted by that guy from before again."

Again? That guy?

Lucien quickly latched onto the key phrases in Earl Sanaxis’s words and connected them with the previous unexpected slumber of Earl Sanaxis.

Sanaxis’s sleep definitely wasn’t a direct result of the quill pen but rather, the quill pen’s effect, directly or indirectly, impacted a special and powerful being which led to their awareness of Sanaxis and forced him to immediately fall into a slumber to evade that being’s prying eyes.

Now, it seemed like Sanaxis was once again noticed by that existence...

Lucien narrowed his eyes slightly, sensing that the existence described by Sanaxis must be the hidden goblin priest. Just now, upon awakening, Sanaxis had used his spiritual power to communicate, and had unintentionally revealed bits and pieces of evidence.

"Interesting... Could it be that Sanaxis was previously a Dream Realm Lord? Possibly due to some special reasons, he fell from that rank, but he still contains some unique qualities, which is why he’s coveted by that goblin priest?"

Lucien thought about the way the Helen Wizard acted like a mouse before a cat when facing Earl Sanaxis and now, that seemed to have a relatively reasonable explanation.

Additionally, Sanaxis had just reminded him to control his emotions, which was clearly targeted advice due to the stealth attack he had just suffered. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Emotions... It seems the ’Twist’ power within the goblin priest includes control over emotional forces. Emotional control could happen to anyone, from wizards to ordinary people.

For example, a normally honest person who wouldn’t even dare to kill a chicken might, under extreme irritation and blinded by anger, become a terrifying murderous "monster."

Or a usually optimistic and sunny person might, under certain special circumstances and triggered by a minor issue, snap, leading to a breakdown and making some insane decisions.

This loss of emotional control can be deadly at critical moments! That goblin priest’s ability is to manually manipulate emotions and create scenarios resembling emotional control loss.

Even more so, Lucien suspected that another ability of "Manipulation" might also be related to controlling emotions. Perhaps when someone’s reason is completely overwhelmed by emotions, they become a living puppet to the goblin priest...

"Hello," Lucien said softly, knowing that his true identity had been discovered by the hidden goblin priest. Therefore, in front of this enemy, he greeted her openly, albeit silently.

The Maid’s eyes were indifferent, seemingly oblivious to Lucien’s silent provocation.

Soon she stopped in her tracks, turning to Lucien with a hint of a smile on her face, "Miss, we’ve reached the back garden, Miss Daya and the others are inside." The Maid’s smile was maintained, but there was a subtle emphasis on the word "miss".

"Thank you, you truly are a very dedicated and professional Maid," Lucien didn’t care about the goblin priest’s trash talk, instead he returned the sentiment with a smile, and then he let go and swiftly entered the throng of children after giving the Maid a cold glance.

"Interesting..." The Maid watched Lucien’s retreating figure, still wearing an appropriate smile, yet quietly uttered the word.

"It seems that the goblin priest isn’t prepared to go to any lengths to eliminate me, even though It knows my identity. It didn’t take me out during the day using the convenience of the Mondok family insiders; indirectly, this suggests that in the eyes of that entity, the value of the Mondok family outweighs the value of me, a malicious first-level Wizard."

"However, It will certainly not give up on the opportunity at night, and then It will ’thoughtfully’ arrange for many powerful individuals to deal with me..." As evening approached, Lucien watched the setting sun, expressionless, he shoved the last piece of cake into his mouth.

Tonight would be the most dangerous night he had ever experienced in the Land of Reality, and even "luck" would not be on his side.

One careless mistake, one bit of negligence, or a single moment of inattention could lead to extremely adverse and irreversible consequences.

After all, this would be the "double arrangement" from the goblin priest and the quill, and he was about to become tonight’s most conspicuous "bomb"!

"But I must choose the location for this bomb of mine carefully," Lucien mused as he leisurely savored his cake, lifting his head to admire the glorious sunset in the sky.

"How beautiful..." Lucien sighed softly in his heart, then put down the cutlery and picked up a napkin to wipe his mouth.

Meanwhile, several Maids and male servants passed by Lucien’s side from time to time. Each passing seemed coincidental, whether a guest at the afternoon tea needed the Maid’s attention or a child accidentally spilled juice...

But these attendants moving around for different purposes always passed by Lucien, as if on guard, almost like an invisible "escort".

The corner of Lucien’s mouth curved up slightly.

He turned his head and looked towards a girl who seemed rather immature, probably only fifteen or sixteen years old.

"Beatrix Sister, I just saw a purple jade ring with your family’s crest in that brother’s hand, and it has a cute little lion carved on it..."

Lucien’s voice was very gentle, but it made the girl named Beatrix’s pupils contract slightly. She angrily slapped the table, stood up, and headed towards the noble youth.

Those servants who had been moving around Lucien, now caught up in the chaos, found their covert surveillance of Lucien collapse in the disorder.

Lucien broke into a run; he now needed to choose a suitable location for the final confrontation of the night!
