Golden thunder, terrifying oppression, and the nearby Wizard Luotu vanished in an instant, causing Carly to break out in a cold sweat as she also felt a surge of surprise.

But soon she saw her mentor, Lucien, in the crowd. In front of him floated a strange card, and inside the card, she could see two figures fighting each other.

One was a girl in a red dress holding a doll, her movements ghostly, sometimes splitting into seven to entangle her opponent, other times transforming into a terrifying monster to launch an assault. The other figure was shrouded in thunder and continuously manipulated mechanical devices to defend and counterattack. Their fierce battle was confined within the small, flat space of the card, giving the impression of watching a hot-blooded battle animation.

What was even more shocking to these Formal Wizards was that all this was caused by Lucien, a First-level Wizard who had been promoted not long ago.

Recalling the recent scene at Greybone Academy where Lucien powerfully suppressed Helen Wizard—who had advanced to a nightmare creature of the second level—a lot of Formal Wizards were alarmed and equated Lucien with a half Second-level Wizard.

"Lord Delatore, please forgive me as a poor old man who has just lost his nephew," Wizard Luotu hurriedly bowed, hoping his humility would earn Delatore’s forgiveness.

"Rules are rules," Delatore said calmly, then stretched out a hand.

Lucien’s vision blurred, and the next moment, Wizard Luotu was caught by a giant energy hand created by Delatore, his face twisted in agony.

During the conversation, the Grey Bone Wizard didn’t hide his schadenfreude. However, unlike his previous almost command-like attitude when talking to Lucien, his demeanor now was warmer, his tone more egalitarian, and even his words carried a hint of coaxing.

Now that Lucien held the power of a Second-level Wizard in his hands, to the Grey Bone Wizard, he was truly a "useful ally" worth valuing.

"Mentor Lucien..." Carly still seemed shaken, for at one point, she truly felt she was about to die. Reflecting on it still sent waves of fear and palpitations through her.

"I’ll deal with you when we get back," Lucien glanced at Carly, then looked at the pile of metal parts on the ground, piecing together the information from the Grey Bone Wizard and gaining a newfound understanding of the terrifying power of Third-level Wizards.

Carly stuck her tongue out, but as if she had remembered something, she giggled and then proudly pulled a large bag from her spatial bracelet. From the barely closed opening, one could see several badges shimmering with a metallic luster.

Many Formal Wizards stared wide-eyed at the large bag of badges in Carly’s hands. However, their sparks of interest extinguished when they saw Lucien.

After all, the man before them was really someone they couldn’t afford to provoke!

The process from a First-level Wizard to a Level 3 Wizard was essentially one of continually honing and purifying the Singularity, in which the Meditation Method mainly served as a "whetstone."

As a Meditation Method that could systematically guide a Formal Wizard up to the Level 3 Wizard stage, "Starry Sky" could engage up to 180 spiritual runes to assist in refining spiritual power, with an effect about 50% higher than the twin Bone Snake refining method Lucien had devised himself.

In the plethora of Meditation Methods used by Formal Wizards, this was considered above average.
