The voice came from a maid, her expression a bit panicky, with tear-filled eyes and a slightly trembling body, looking both frightened and helpless.

"Miss Somaya?" Lucien was struck by a thought, recalling the character who had just died because of him. He quietly squeezed into the crowd, not too worried though.

After all, in this situation, the identity he was portraying was the best disguise. At least to those not controlled by "players," Lurah, a young child without any awakened supernatural abilities, could not possibly have killed an adult.

Moreover, Lucien was certain that no other bystanders had witnessed his fight with that unfortunate player. From the maid’s description, if the Miss Somaya she was seeking was the player he had killed, then she too must have intentionally sent the maids away before secretly entering the library.

Under these circumstances, it would probably take quite a while to locate the crime scene.

"She just told us she wanted to go for a walk in the garden..."

"We have been here in the garden the whole time and didn’t see Miss Somaya..."

At the entrance of the library, many people gathered and proceeded inside.

Soon, they came upon an extremely bloody scene, and some of the male servants or nobles following behind the knights, on seeing this, felt their legs weaken, and even two with slightly weaker spirits immediately dropped their weapons and fled towards the doorway.

"Hiss..." Even those Knights who had faced battlefields and fought with the demonic race, upon witnessing such a bloody scene, many of them felt their stomachs churning. The sight of Somaya’s corpse, blood, and brain matter provided a strong physical shock.

Even many Knights imagined the scene of Somaya’s death based on the corpse:

The killer had directly grabbed the poor, weak, helpless Miss Somaya, perhaps even lifting her as easily as picking up a small chicken, then, like crushing a watermelon, had brutally crushed Miss Somaya’s head.

"Ugh..." The image that emerged in their minds once again stimulated the Knights’ bodies, causing one of them to start retching, followed by three more covering their mouths or bending over to hold their stomachs.

"What happened?" the Maid Mier was somewhat nervous at this point, eager to know what had happened inside that building, yet also worried that leaving her young master alone here might pose irrecoverable security risks in such a chaotic situation.

Eventually, she did not move, but instead, like a hen protecting her chicks, shielded Lurah in front of her and cautiously pulled Lurah toward a less crowded area.

"Miss Somaya! Miss Somaya...woo woo woo..." In the distance, the tragic crying of the Maid who had just passed filled the air, confirming some of Lucien’s previous suspicions.

However, just when Lucien was preparing to observe from afar, Mier suddenly covered Lurah’s eyes without explanation, and, due to the "feedback" from the role being played, Lucien’s vision also encountered obstruction and concealment by the rules.

"Miss, nothing happened over there..." Mier’s voice trembled slightly, but she still forcefully maintained a calm tone while speaking to Lucien.

Lucien sensed these sounds through his spiritual power. Although he couldn’t see the scene, he could roughly complete the states of those people in his mind.

However, he also understood that these were just the states of ordinary characters, while those "players" certainly knew that this was a result of strife among players. But they surely wouldn’t show it, and might even perform according to the traits of the characters they were playing.

"From the current situation, at least no one is openly pointing the murder towards me but is exploring directions like crimes of passion or hidden demons," Lucien thought, as Mier pulled him away from the crowd, his heart utterly calm.

He crossed his hands and looked down at the storage ring on his right hand.

"I hope this harvest exceeds the risk I’ve taken this time," Lucien slowly exhaled.

"Miss?"

"Mier sister, I...I’m a bit nervous."

"It’s okay, it’s okay, Miss." Mier squatted down and gave Lurah a hug.

Lucien’s vision restored, he took the moment Mier was distracted to glance at the chaotic crowd, his gaze briefly stopped on the Dream Master, Rafael.

Then, she quickly bowed her head, letting Mier and two family Knights escort her into the relatively safe family carriage interior.
