But this was Lucien’s last resort, not to be used unless absolutely necessary. After all, the gatherings of Formal Wizards besieging them were close to fifty in number here, and using the portal back to Cloud Country right under everyone’s eyes would create a commotion that might even overshadow the fall of Greybone Academy itself.

And once Cloud Country’s secrets were exposed, he and Carly might be swept into an even larger vortex and possibly targeted by Level 3 Wizards or even higher-level wizards for their schemes and pursuits.

The Third-level Wizard Apprentices, under horrified gazes, saw themselves shrinking and their bodies undergoing a strange "textilization."
