This wizard only wishes to be a teacher

"Special class..." On the other side of the airship, coming from Winter Fort, several wizards and wizard apprentices stood on the deck, their ears catching the discussions of the newly initiated wizards.

"What kind of trick is Greybone Academy pulling?" A third-level wizard apprentice muttered in a low voice, puzzled by Greybone Academy’s deviation from the norm and somewhat baffled.

"Don’t talk nonsense." Wizard Saud, however, interrupted the apprentice’s grumbling with a stern voice. He took a few slow steps to the edge of the deck and looked down slightly at the wizard apprentices who were discussing the special class, his expression somewhat serious.

As a formal wizard, his perspective was naturally higher than that of the wizard apprentices. At this moment, he connected the "special class" with Lucien’s efforts to promote academic exchange between Greybone Academy and Winter Fort, and suddenly felt like Lucien seemed to be planning something big.

After all, to promote such initiatives, whether it’s increasing the number of Body Refinement Wizard training methods or cultivating wizard apprentices with specialized capabilities, would be a thankless investment for Greybone Academy, especially for individuals at the formal wizard level.

After all, Lord Delatore’s life was nearing its end, and if he could not advance to become a Dawn Wizard, he would soon perish, and the many wizard powers that submitted to his authority would disintegrate upon his death, and they would likely turn on each other!

And Greybone Academy seemed to be one with great ambition.

"Hiss..." Saud shuddered with a cold sweat. If not for their exchange visit to Greybone Academy, they might never have known about these ambitions and subtle moves. Maybe, with the way the leader of Winter Fort hated to use his brain, he might still be oblivious when Greybone Academy burst onto the scene.

"What a cunning fellow..." Saud took several deep breaths, which calmed the unease in his heart about the matter, but he subconsciously pinned the mastermind behind it all on the top-tier power of Greybone Academy—the Grey Bone Wizard.

"Could it be that the Grey Bone Wizard feels he has a chance of advancing to a Level 3 Wizard, so has started to set Greybone Academy in motion? I recall the fort lord mentioned that the Grey Bone Wizard had luckily obtained a very valuable secret realm core and traded it with Lord Delatore for great benefits..."

Perhaps the Grey Bone Wizard took this as an assurance to advance to a Level 3 Wizard, or even harbored ambitions to dominate the continent after Lord Delatore’s fall... Wizard Saud couldn’t help but conceive a complete plot of conspiracy in his mind.

Now with such a "script" as a preconceived notion, Saud saw every trace of evidence as corroboration of his guess, gradually becoming more convinced of his own thoughts.

"I must have a good talk with the fort lord when I get back. We need to be more wary of that old guy, the Grey Bone Wizard." Warned by this thought, Saud whispered some information to a wizard apprentice and then patted his shoulder.

The latter nodded in understanding, subtly working his way into the midst of the apprentices reviewing the announcement and recorded the entire content of the notice.

"Healer? Defense Wizard... If you add Physical Refining Wizard to the mix, that would be four classes of specialized wizards. Although the other three specialties definitely don’t have the potential of a Physical Refining Wizard, they can still be useful in wizard organization battles..." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Saud nodded lightly, already somewhat regretting the contract he had previously signed with Greybone Academy. The thought that his academy’s wizard apprentices would become part of Grey Bone Wizard’s grand plan gave him the sensation of shooting himself in the foot.

Could he exploit this situation to slow down Greybone Academy’s preparations?

According to Greybone Academy’s current plan, they needed a large number of combat-capable third-level wizard apprentices as their main fighting force, so simple, quick-fix Body Refining Methods were what Greybone Academy needed most.

To thwart Greybone Academy’s plans, he only needed to turn things around and provide some obscure, complex Body Refining Methods.

That way, in the short term, Greybone Academy would fail to train wizard apprentices in Body Refinement en masse. Even if a few talented wizards made some achievements on the path, it would not be on a scale that could threaten Winter Fort’s interests in future academy wars...

And if Greybone Academy found out about this, there would be little they could do, for the content he taught was correct. If they couldn’t learn it, that was their problem, not related to the contract.

After all, you can’t blame the road if you’re unable to walk it, right?

With that thought, Wizard Saud felt a surge of pleasure and a slight smile appeared on his lips as he turned and walked toward their resting cabin.

"Teacher Saud..." His actions caught the attention of some Winter Fort apprentices.

"I’m going to the room to write lesson plans." Saud was in such fine spirits that he even used the trendy term "lesson plans" quite fashionably.

"Yes, detailed lesson plans for teaching experimental classes at Greybone Academy."

"Lesson plans?" Several Wizard Apprentices looked at each other, puzzled as to why Wizard Saud suddenly took such great interest in this Greybone Academy matter; they remembered that before coming to Greybone Academy, Wizard Saud had shown nothing but disdain for Greybone Academy and for Elemental Wizards.

Even after signing a contract with Greybone Academy, they thought it was nothing more than a perfunctory gesture due to Greybone Academy’s generous offer.

But now, was Wizard Saud truly concerned about a clause in a trade contract?

This left several Wizard Apprentices glancing at each other, particularly the two third-level Wizard Apprentices who would later stay on at Greybone Academy, who, after exchanging looks, firmed up their resolve — they must teach at Greybone Academy with commitment and effort, without cutting corners or being slipshod.

After all, Wizard Saud seemed to take this matter very seriously and was even paying personal attention to it!

They must pay utmost attention to handle this task!

Wizard Saud hadn’t noticed the small exchanges among the apprentices, as he was currently recalling the content of a Body Refinement Realm book with pleasure; he felt using the method recorded there as the teaching style for Greybone Academy’s specialty classes was very appropriate.

Because this method, although it could produce very excellent Physical Refining Wizards and even maximize the development of an apprentice’s physical potential, from the perspective of practice, was considered top-notch even within Winter Fort.

If it had been the previous Saud, he probably wouldn’t have wanted to give Greybone Academy such a detrimental Body Refining Method and would have settled for teaching a generic one.

But now, he had changed his mind, ready to teach this powerful Physical Refining Wizard method "selflessly" to Greybone Academy’s Wizard Apprentices, without worrying about them becoming strong Physical Refining Wizards.

Because Saud knew that this Body Refinement Realm had one major flaw: it could ruin Wizard Apprentices.

In Winter Fort’s history, there had been some apprentices who considered themselves very talented, persistent, and determined who had tried this practice method, but either they had collapsed under the inhuman torment during the Body Refinement process, becoming babbling fools, or they had died directly during the process due to their bodies not being able to withstand the ferocious impact of the method.

The number of Physical Refining Wizards who truly made accomplishments using this method in the history of Winter Fort was very rare.

So even knowing the effectiveness of this Body Refinement Realm was very powerful, Saud wasn’t the least bit concerned about leaking it to Greybone Academy causing a detrimental impact, and he was even looking forward to Greybone Academy sending more Wizard Apprentices to try this path, to "expend" more of them.

Of course, to prevent Greybone Academy from "returning the goods", Saud also wrote a simple Body Refining Method for ordinary Physical Refining Wizards.

If they chose that kind of Body Refining Method, though safe, the effect on tempering the body would be greatly diminished, somewhat similar to a lower-grade basic Meditation Method. Using that simple version of the Body Refining Method, even advancing to a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice would be quite challenging.

"What a pity for that talented young fellow, but since he’s with Greybone Academy, it’s just bad luck on his part."

While writing the lesson plans, Saud couldn’t help but think of the promising Physical Refining Wizard Apprentice who had made an impression on him; he knew that after handing over this set of Body Refining Method to Greybone Academy, it might also be used by that apprentice, which made him feel a bit regretful, but ultimately he just shook his head and moved on.

Now, his task was to "help" Greybone Academy cultivate a batch of Physical Refining Wizards wholeheartedly.
