JUN’S POV

I pause, feeling her hand tighten around me as she senses the shift in the story.

"When they finally got back to me with her information," I swallow, the memory still sharp, "She was dead."

Her eyes widen.

"Turns out," I continue, taking a breath, "She had a rare heart condition. A ticking time bomb, doctors gave her two months max. So she sold everything she had, packed her bags, and went out on this sixty day adventure to live her life once before dying. She leans into me, resting her head on my chest, and for a moment, the fire crackles softly as we sit together in that shared silence.

I woke up feeling numb and cold in my feet. I realised we are still on the terrace, on the swing and the fire doused long back, it’s not even warm anymore. Other than a lonely feet which was out of the blanket, I’m warm. Really warm in Jun’s embrace as he hugs me close.

Who am I with him? I don’t know. Why I told him the embarrassing story of my life I don’t know. The chemistry between us is unparallel, always making me forget other things around me.

The truth is, I like him.... I really do.
