"Have you seen all the people going up to the first floor?" one of the girls whispers.

"Yeah... it’s reserved for family, I’ve heard," the other replies.

"Well, guess what? I saw Feng Junjie going up there," the first girl adds, her voice a mix of curiosity and gossip.

My breath catches in my throat. If I’m not wrong, there are three girls standing outside, hoping they’ll see me and call someone for help.

"He’s dating someone, right?" the second girl says. "I saw him bringing with him—a beautiful woman."

"That’s Junjie we’re talking about," the first girl chuckles. "He only dates beautiful things. But it’s always just a time pass."

"Yeah... but trust me, even a time pass with him is worth it," the second girl smirks.

"Really? Have you—?" the first girl asks, her tone dropping to something more playful.

"Oh, yeah. Once, he picked me up from a friend’s party. OMG! The guy is rabid. I’ve never come so many times in my life. And his dirty talk? Another level. So sexy!" the second girl laughs, clearly reliving the memory.

My stomach twists, and I want to throw up.

Chris turns my head to face him, his fingers digging into my jaw as he forces eye contact. He whispers, his voice low and dangerous, "So that’s why you’re with him? You think you’re special? He does it to every woman. You’re nothing but another notch. Come back to me."

I shake my head, my vision blurring with tears

I hear the faint click of heels coming closer, and the girls start whispering again.

"Have you heard that?" one of them says, her voice sharper now. "A man’s voice."

The sound of heels clacking echoes louder, making my heart race. Please, someone help.

I tap my heels against the floor, my anxiety rising with every second. Someone knocks, and my heart leaps. "Hello? Who is inside?"

Chris groans loudly, his breathing heavy and erratic. No, no. He’s trying to mislead them. He presses his mouth to my shoulder and bites down, making me hiss in pain.

"Oh my God, they’re doing it in there," one of the voices outside says, disgust evident in her tone.

"Shameless. This is the ladies’ bathroom," another woman mutters.

"I’ll call security," the third voice threatens.

Chris chuckles darkly, his voice dripping with malice. "Now you’ll see what happens. Jun’s gonna kick you out. There are media people outside. A man of his authority will never associate himself with a woman who sleeps with another man behind his back... especially not in a bathroom."

I hear a loud bang—someone slamming the door open.

"Hi, Jun," a woman says coyly. "There’s someone inside, and they’re... well, doing it."

"SHUT UP! GET OUT!" Jun’s voice roars, filled with authority.

Chris releases my shoulder, his hot breath still lingering on my skin as he rakes a messy hand through my hair, dragging his nails across my bare shoulder. He tears my gown down from clevage, revealing more than I’m comfortable with. My stomach twists in disgust.

"You are mine, Yiren. Only mine. And I’ll make sure of that," he growls in my ear.

Chris unbuckles his belt and starts to unhook himself, making the situation all the worse with his theatrics. He unlocks the door, but the moment it opens, Jun’s fist connects with Chris’s jaw, sending his head whipping to the side.

Jun takes one look at me, ensuring I’m out of the line of fire, then he goes into full rampage mode, thrashing Chris against the wall with a brutal force I’ve never seen from him before. His kicks land with a sickening thud, each one more forceful than the last.

I stay inside, unable to face what’s waiting for me outside. There must be countless people with phones out to take a picture. I’m ruined.

But then, Jun turns, and blocks me with his body, shielding me from everyone.

Just as I feel a momentary sense of relief in his arms, I catch sight of Chris pulling something from his pocket. His lighter—It has a small knife attached for self-defence. Chris launches the knife, aiming at Jun’s back. My heart races.

"JUN!" I turn, bringing myself in the line of direct hit.

Time seems to slow, and I brace myself for the impact, waiting for the pain to hit me. But... it never comes.

I open my eyes, heart hammering in my chest, and turn to find Xion’s hand wrapped around Chris’s wrist, the knife mere inches from me.

"Who the f*ck are you?" Chris snarls, trying to break free, but Xion’s grip is ironclad.

"Your daddy," Xion replies coolly, his voice dripping with menace.

He tightens his hold, and Chris lets out a howl of pain. The king of the underworld. No doubt about it.

Xion delivers a swift kick to Chris’s chest, sending him flying across the room. He crashes into the opposite wall with a loud bang, crumpling to the ground like a ragdoll.

Jun takes off his jacket and wraps it around me. "Shh... it’s okay. You’re fine," he murmurs, his voice a low, steady comfort. I duck into his arms when he try to guide us out of the tiny cubicle, "Don’t take me out. They will take pictures of us and would smear your name." "The only thing I care about right now is you." He runs a hand gently along the length of my back, a quiet reassurance that I desperately need right now.

I dare a glance at the crowd—people who must be watching the scene unfold. The thought of this moment ending up on social media, my face plastered across gossip blogs for all the world to see, makes my stomach churn. But then... I freeze. The bathroom, which was once chaotic, is now completely blocked off by a group of men—guards, wearing black uniforms adorned with a Sea Dragon crest. Their presence is commanding, each one standing tall, their eyes scanning the room and corridor outside with precision.

Two of the guards move toward Chris. They hustle his limp body, dragging him away with a force that leaves no room for protest.
