JUN’S POV

I meet Hong’s glare head-on. "Yes, it’s true," I admit, my voice steady. "I confessed my feelings to her. But she rejected me, called me a man-child, said no sensible woman would ever want me. She told me women prefer men like my brothers, and I was nothing compared to them. Those were her exact words."

"True. True. True" she parrots.

"Hong, please, stop," Zeng urges, pulling at her arm, but she yanks free.

"It’s also true that I was around after she rejected me. But not because I had some malicious intent—I was dejected and heartbroken, but I cared about her. I was just... watching over my best friend. Tell me, Hong, did I ever do anything to make you feel unsafe or uncomfortable during that time?"

She’s silent, lips pressed together, refusing to answer. Of course, now she won’t admit the truth.

"That was when she and Zeng started getting close," I continue, my voice firm. "We are in the same circles: biking and car racing. It was inevitable that I’d show up at the same events. But every time she saw me at a party, she accused me of stalking her, of being toxic. If I so much as spoke to Zeng, she’d claim I was trying to manipulate him against her. If another woman approached Zeng, she’d say I’d sent her to sabotage their relationship. If they argued, she’d pin it on me, claim I was behind it. If Zeng got into a scuffle on the racing circuit, she’d accuse me of staging it. Her accusations spiraled into paranoia, and she became... unhinged. And the worst part? I had no idea why she was doing this to me."

"Cut the crap. Why not tell everyone about Royal club?"

I smile, "Since you are so eager--At the Royal Club, it was supposed to be the launch of a new luxury car, but the event quickly turned into a drug-fuelled party," I begin, "That night, Hong and I had a heated argument over some nonsense. I was ready to leave early, but things took a dark turn. Someone drugged me before I could get out."

"Lies!" Hong interrupts, her voice high-pitched and defensive. "You drugged my drink and then had sex with me that night!"

I ignore her outburst, my jaw clenching. It’s a story she’s spun for far too long, and I had foolishly let her get away with it. "My chief of security, Lie Chen, was the one who saved me. He found me barely conscious on the couch and dragged me to a secure room. He even stayed by my side the entire night, recording everything to protect my innocence in case something happens."

I click a button on my phone, and the video plays on the giant screen behind me. The footage clearly shows Lie Chen helping me, groggy and barely able to move, into the safe room. The paused at timestamp on the video, matching the exact timeline Hong has always used against me.

"Sorry to break this to you, Hong," I say, my voice colder than ice. "But it wasn’t me who was physically involved with you that night. Whoever it was, they framed me, but my evidence is loud and clear. If you want, I can even provide a certificate of authenticity for the footage."

Hong’s face drains of all colour. She stumbles, her earlier confidence slipping away like sand through her fingers. Earlier I was saving her dignity and stayed silent but not anymore. "B-But your coat, your watch—" she sputters, grasping for straws.

"Yeah," I cut in. "Someone planted those items to frame me. I don’t know who you slept with, and I really don’t care. But the truth is-- it was DEFINITELY not me!"

She collapses onto the ground, looking utterly shattered. "N-No... how could this happen?" she whispers, more to herself than to anyone else.

Zian and Vivian come up beside me, an unspoken show of support. "Maybe it’s called karma," He holds up a tablet. "And if you’re all wondering why Hong kept accusing Jun, it’s time you see this."

He presses play, and videos from an anonymous YouTube channel titled Running from Stalker start playing. The channel boasts over 50 million subscribers, and each video has millions of views. The footage features Hong, artfully edited to make it appear as if I’m some menacing figure lurking in her life. Although she never shows any of our faces, but the camera angles and clues make it clear to those who know me well who the "villain" in the video is.

Hong’s face turns ghostly as this channel is her secret channel. If it was not for Vivian sharing a video to Zian once we wouldn’t have found it.

"These videos," Zian continues, "have generated around $10 million in revenue for Hong. She’s been using Jun as her twisted cash cow, painting him as a villain to rake in money."

Gasps ripple through the crowd, and all eyes fix on Hong. She looks like a deer caught in the headlights, her carefully constructed lies unraveling for everyone to see.

Shishi and Suyin come up beside me, and a warm hand drops onto my shoulder. "Why didn’t you tell us anything?" Shishi asks, his voice filled with concern.

My throat tightens, and my eyes sting with unshed tears. "Zeng and I had an ugly physical fight after everything that happened," I say, my voice cracking. " Everything was so stressful in the family that my problem was nothing in front of them- MeiMei’s complicated pregnancy and Suyin and Shishi’s relationship at stake that i didn’t want to drag you all into my mess. Especially—" I look at Suyin, biting my lips.

"You thought I’ll take this as another reason of never getting back with Shishi?"

I nod, "I’m sorry. I was scared."

Jianyu’s brows knit together. "Is that why you left for America?"

"Yeah. I thought I could handle it alone, that staying away would give things time to settle. But then—" I look at Shishi and Jianyu, my lips lifting into a small, grateful smile, "—months later you all showed up in America and dragged my sorry ass back home. And honestly, a certain woman knocked some sense into me and pushed me to face my demons."

Yiren chuckles beside me, squeezing my hand.

MeiMei narrows her eyes, looking back and forth between Yiren and me. "So... is your relationship with Yiren—" she pauses, raising an eyebrow, "— real or fake?"
