I tilt his chin up, my thumb brushing softly against it, letting my touch say what words can’t. "I’ve been on the other end of your walls, anger, and trust issues from the start. And look at us now—you opened up, and to your supposed ’enemy,’ no less." I smile, eyes holding his. "Be proud of yourself, Jun. Because I certainly am."

Then, I kiss him, letting the warmth of my lips show everything I feel. He responds by slipping his hand behind my head, his fingers weaving into my damp hair, holding me close but so gently. His lips are soft, careful, mindful of the small cut. This man... he remembers even the little details.

"I trust you, Yiren," he murmurs, breaking the kiss just enough to look at me, his gaze unwavering. "That’s why I told you about my dream car. Even my brothers don’t know about it."

My head jerks back, eyes wide. "Wait—what?" I stammer, barely able to process it. "I thought Jianyu and Shishi knew."

He chuckles, a faint, warm smile lighting up his face. "Nope. Not a word to them. I guess you’ve earned a little extra trust."

The depth of his words makes my heart skip, realizing just how much he’s chosen to share with me alone.

Jun’s grip on my hand is firm, warm, as he leads me back to the bedroom. He scoops up a half-asleep Bear, who’s too drowsy to resist and just flops in his arms like a stuffed toy. As soon as we step into the room, he throws Bear on the bed, and Bear immediately springs up with a look that clearly reads, What was that?

But Jun just chuckles, ignoring the silent protest and telling me, "Put some clothes on."

Once we have put some clothes, Jun grabs my hand again. He presses a thumb on the lock system that opens the glass wall in the bedroom where the three black beasts are parked. Up close these cars look more gorgeous.

And Bear jumps off the bed, following us, grumbling in his own bear-like language, probably giving Jun a lecture in dog terms for throwing him. But Jun just looks back and narrows his eyes, "Remember what happened the last time at the vet?"

Bear freezes, his eyes wide, then lets out a dramatic little huff before spinning around and running back to the bedroom, muttering what I imagine is a string of doggy curses in 99 different languages.

The whole scene is so comical, I have to stifle a laugh. Jun just raises a brow as he watches Bear’s little tantrum. "No one dares to defy me."

"Except maybe me."

"Wouldn’t have it any other way." Jun’s hand finds mine, guiding me past the last set of electronic locks. My tummy did a little flip, I have a rough idea where this is going.

The locks click open, and we step into his private garage. Right in the middle of the room sits something hidden under a blue cloth. He pulls the cover back, revealing the car beneath. My jaw drops. It’s raw, unpolished, without the glossy paint or sleek exterior of his other luxury cars, but that’s what makes it even more striking. It’s beautiful. More beautiful because it’s his creation, a piece of him poured into every line and angle, like I’m seeing part of him laid bare.

Jun’s watching me closely, his expression both expectant and uncertain. I realize he’s waiting for my words, and it dawns on me just how much this means to him.

"Jun, it’s... it’s incredible," I say, "More than that—it’s alive. I can feel the energy in every part of it. This is more than a car."

A flicker of relief crosses his face, followed by a slow, genuine smile. "You really think so?"

I look him straight in the eyes. This guy needs a boost and I’m going to shower him with that. "Are you kidding? This thing has heart. It’s going to turn heads for reasons no other car here ever could. I’d like to buy 100 shares in your company already so that when it reaches the price of a million I can be proud owner of 100 million."

Our gazes meet, and his lips curl into an endearing smile. He scratches the back of his head, looking a bit bashful. "Can’t take you for a ride yet. It’s still a work in progress."

"I wish I could help," I say, letting my fingers trail over the rough edges of the car. "But my knowledge about cars is practically non-existent."

"Actually, you can. I’ve been wanting to ask—will you help me create the VR prototype? I can’t trust anyone else with the design, and let’s just say... learning the technology is a bit beyond me."

"You’re sure?" My heart skips a beat. Creating a VR prototype means he’d have to share every single design detail with me. It’s huge, and the risk is real. People would pay fortunes for something like this—or worse, try to steal it. But he doesn’t hesitate.

"Completely," he says, his voice steady.

My heart flutters, the air catching in my throat. He doesn’t realize what he’s doing, how each moment of trust and openness is carving his place deeper into my life. He should stop. This man, with his sincerity and raw honesty, is smashing straight through every wall I’ve built. I can feel him breaking into my heart, touching parts of me I thought were locked away.

And then, like a shadow creeping in, a word hits me—LOVE.

I gulp.

I sweat.

"You okay Yiren?"

I met his eyes, "So much trust. I promise I won’t tell anyone."

"I trust you."

Without a second’s hesitation, I yanked him by his t-shirt and took his mouth in a hard kiss. His fingers curled into my hair as our tongues fought for control.

There is no holding back from here.

I want to rip his clothes.

"To the bedroom."

"That little rascal is sleeping there."

"Then anywhere. But for God’s sake take me somewhere."
