Yes! I did the job perfectly! It’s 5’ in the evening and she’s still at home, sleeping, cuddling with bear and just sprawled on the spacious couch in my theatre room, with no signs of plans to meet the kunt guy.

I’ve even hired one of the best chefs in the city to set up a cozy dinner for us on the terrace tonight.

Ummm....It’s part of my peace offering, considering she’s still an angry bird after our last night’s "tiring session." You know the black birdy from the game—the one that blows up? Yeah, that’s her vibe exactly.

"Horny asshole, get lost!" She hurls an empty popcorn bowl my way, and I barely dodge it. She mutters Spanish curses and rolls back over, wrapping herself tighter around Bear, who’s is all smiles today for getting a beautiful woman’s undivided attention.

The temperature in the room cools a little when Rui comes holding a beautiful floral dress which used to be ankle length when I picked it from the catalogue to add it to Yiren’s closet, but now it’s short, like cut in half. But I like this one better. It suits her bubbly personality.

"Ma’am, it’s ready, as you requested."

Yiren groans a little as she sits up, clearly feeling the aftermath of last night. Ok, I overdid it. Stupid Jun.

"It’s perfect. Thanks, Rui," she says, brushing a hand over the fabric.

"No," Rui says, "You’ll look perfect tonight. Can’t wait to see you in this."

Ah she’s dressing up for our dinner? But who told her? Rui? Of course who else? Never mind. If she already knows and is dressing up for it, I better suit up as well.

And so I did, with extra enthusiasm and bounce in my feet for some reason. It’s been years I have taken a woman on a formal dinner date-- hmm can it be called as date? I think yes but if I say it in front of her she’ll butcher me and then dispose my body on this estate somewhere.

Best to just keep it as "dinner."

While she gets ready, I change in the guest room to keep a little suspense in the air.

YIREN’S POV

I’m fully prepared for Jun to throw a fit when Rui brings me the dress he picked out. But no—he just gives this annoyingly charming smile and slips away, leaving me totally bewildered. It’s not his usual troublemaker smirk either; it’s way too...calm.

And now I’m confused.

But I’m not about to ask. Nope. I’m still pissed. Last night, he was an absolute beast, bending me in ways I didn’t know I could manage, and the worst part? He woke up fresh and glowing, practically radiating the smugness of a well-satisfied man. Meanwhile, I could barely manage breakfast without groaning.

MeiMei wasn’t kidding about these brothers charged with hormones and their ridiculous stamina. I honestly don’t know how she or Suyin handle their husbands’ demands. But I have to admit—I’m beyond satisfied too. It’s rare to find a guy who genuinely prioritizes your pleasure before his, and Jun is exactly that. His attention to detail is... next level.

I wander into the living room, spotting Rui. "Hey, could you zip me up?" I ask. Glancing around, I notice Jun is still MIA.

"Have you seen Jun?"

Rui zips up the dress, "He’s in the guest room, getting ready for the date night, ma’am."

Wait, what? I freeze, my breath hitching. Date night?

He’s going on a date?

The traitor. Bloody rascal. After saying we’d be exclusive while this arrangement lasts, he’s off to a date? The playboy, the Casanova.... My blood’s boiling. I should’ve chopped his dick off last night when I had the chance.

How could he?

I march to the guest room with murder on my mind, mentally rehearsing the accusations. He’s getting at least one solid kick in balls for this. But then I pause when I hear him singing in the bathroom.....

He’s singing? And not just any song—Sway. He’s in there, happily humming like he doesn’t have a care in the world. Who is this mysterious unlucky woman who has him so... cheery? Didn’t he say he stopped dating?

My chest tightens, jealousy pooling hot in my veins, twisting my stomach. This shouldn’t hurt. I shouldn’t care. But I do. I’m jealous—jealous enough that my eyes land on the expensive designer suit laid out on the bed, and without thinking, I grab a pair of scissors from the desk and slice right through it.

MADDISON PARK HOTEL

(Yiren’s pov continues...)

"Hi, thank you so much for coming," Kun says, standing as I approach the table he’s reserved on the luxurious dining terrace of Madison Park Hotel. With a light touch on the small of my back, he guides me to my chair, pulling it out for me.

If Kun managed to get a reservation here i can only imagine what kind of contacts he has. Because my mind is on Jun and his mystery date tonight.

"I promised you," I reply, glancing around the restaurant. It’s one of the most expensive places to dine in the city, and on my bucket list too. If Kun got a reservation here, I can only imagine his connections must run deep. But I’m not feeling any excitement of ticking off something from the bucket list. My mind keeps darting back to Jun... and his mystery date tonight.

"What would you like to drink?" Kun asks, flipping through the drink menu.

"Gimlet..." I say without thinking, my voice almost automatic. Jun’s favorite. I catch myself, realizing it slipped out naturally.

Kun chuckles, giving me an amused look. "Didn’t peg you for a gin girl."

"Neither did I," I admit, trying to laugh it off. I’m definitely not. I’m a beer girl, through and through—a cold beer over a fancy cocktail any day.

"Shall we order food or—?" he begins, but I’m not in the mood for small talk. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"What did you want to discuss?" I ask, leaning forward, ready to get this over with. I don’t want to sit here ticking off bucket list items while thoughts of Jun with some mystery date twist in my mind. I just want to know what Kun wants, go home, and have a long, comforting cuddle with my dog, Bear.

Kun’s smile slips, and he clears his throat. "It’s about... marriage,"

"I’m sure the lawyer communicated my stance on that perfectly." The only reason I’m here with him is because he really comes out as a nice guy, and I’d any day prefer things to end amicably rather it turn ugly.

He pauses, a spark of disbelief crossing his face, as if he’s remembering my now-infamous "I’d rather jump off the Eiffel Tower" line. Then, out of nowhere, he breaks into a full laugh. "How could I forget? Hands down, that was the funniest thing any woman has ever said to me. My girlfriend and I had a great laugh over it."

Wait, what? I freeze. "Girlfriend?"

He nods, grinning. "Yeah, she thought it was hilarious."
