It’s extremely rare to see Yiren this flustered. And right now? This is one of those precious moments. She’s staring at the bed like it’s going to grow teeth and swallow her whole. "Why, Yiren? Afraid you won’t be able to control yourself in front of my hotness?"

Her head snaps at me, eyes narrowing as she blinks herself out of her daze. Here it comes, I think, bracing myself for one of her signature sassy comebacks.

"Hotness? You?" she rolls her eyes, "Oh, Juju, I thrive on spicy food. You’re just a mild sauce."

I raise my brows, clearly enjoying her attempt to brush me off. "Really? Mild, huh? Then why are you hesitating?" I point to the space on the bed, "This side will be mine. That side, yours. Simple."

"No. No. And no," she says firmly, crossing her arms and scowling.

I tilt my head, pretending to think. "Ah, I see. You snore, don’t you? Loudly."

Her eyes widen. "I do not snore! It’s you who probably sounds like a chainsaw at night!"

I chuckle, "Then why the hesitation, Rabbit?"

"Don’t you have more rooms in this mansion?"

"Eight, actually." I lie on my back, hands locking behind my head "But, Rui’s sister works at Shishi’s house. Sisters love to gossip, especially when it comes to juicy details about their employers. So unless you want to be the star of their next chat, this is the best option."

She falls silent, clearly weighing her options. I can practically hear the gears turning in her head.

I press further, getting up from the bed and taking off my jacket, my voice dripping with fake concern. "But hey, if you’re really worried about your lack of self-control around me, I understand. It’s tough. I mean, I do have that irresistible charm."

She scoffs, "Bear’s got more charm, yet he’s so humble. Maybe take a lesson from him, Mr. Hotshot."

I smile, already unbuttoning my shirt, watching her eyes follow the motion of my fingers as they work down the buttons. Her gaze lingers on my tattooed chest for just a moment longer than necessary. I know she loves tattoos and is curious about mine. If she’ll ask nicely, I’ll gladly answer the meaning behind them. Each of them is on my body for a reason. When her eyes finally flick back to meet mine, I’m grinning, fully aware of the effect I’m having on her.

She huffs, cheeks turning tomato red as she turns away abruptly, muttering a soft "f*ck" under her breath.

"Do you have a good reason why my girlfriend would be sleeping in a different room, if anyone asked?" I ask, casually throwing out the bait.

Her eyes narrow, a flash of realization crossing her face. Predictable.

"Fine," she snaps, throwing her hands up. "But I kick. So don’t blame me if you end up on the floor after I send a few flying at your bum. The chances are 100%."

I smirk. "Sure. I know you just want to get close to that hot bum. Be my guest."

I walk toward my walk-in-closet, feeling her eyes on my back. I pause to grab a pajama set, and with a grin, I add, "Also, Bear tends to jump into my bed, and I end up hugging him. So, careful if you’re planning to wander over to my side. You might find yourself in my arms. We might—"

Suddenly, a pillow flies into my back. I turn slowly, grinning.

"Two can play this game, rabbit."

"GET LOST, JUJU!"

I wink at her, backing toward the bathroom with a grin. Riling this little rabbit up is too much fun. No day is ever boring with her around.

I catch the wide-eyed look on her face, staring at something behind me.

I pause, glancing over my shoulder.

Ah... I forgot about that. My bathroom has glass walls.

"Feel free to use it. I have no objection."

"It’s transparent! It’s see-through! It’s got nothing to hide! Oh my god!" Her voice is a high-pitched mix of shock and disbelief.

The mental image shifts, and suddenly my body is having a full-on reaction. I shift slightly, covering myself with the pajama set I’d just pulled from the closet, trying to play it cool. Damn it, Jun, get a grip.

I take a steadying breath, shaking it off. Control, man. Control. That’s Yiren! Instead of backing down, I lean into the teasing—because if I’m going down, I’m taking her with me.

"Feel free to watch me, though," I say with a slow wink as I step into the glass shower, closing the door behind me.

I turn my back to her, slipping off my shirt slowly, watching her through the reflection in the mirror. Her eyes? Fixed on me. She’s trying to play it cool, but I can tell—she’s not immune to everything. This subtle tension between us is mutual.

I pause for effect, then casually hook my thumbs into my waistband, tugging at my pants. Her jaw? Just about hits the floor. There’s a slight shift in her stance, legs pressing together like she’s feeling something she doesn’t want to admit.

I grin, waiting just long enough for the tension to rise before flipping on the bathroom light. Instantly, the glass fogs over, turning the whole thing opaque.

Her reaction is immediate. "GO TO HELL, SATAN!"

I laugh, the sound echoing off the walls. "What’s wrong, Rabbit? Pissed I blocked your view? Wanna join me in?"

There’s a beat of silence, then a frustrated, "You’re the worst."

I can’t help but laugh again. "I’m already in hell, babe. But the real question is—are you?"

No reply. I press my ear to the glass, and only the sound of her heels walking out of the room reaches me.
