"Cheers!" We clink our mooncakes together, each with a different flavor.

"Mmmm... I got yam flavor," Meimei says, taking a big bite and sighing in delight.

"I got fruits," Suyin adds.

"Classic white lotus for me," Ning chimes in with a satisfied grin.

"Mine’s flower. Yumm..." Vivian says, savoring hers with closed eyes.

"Chocolate!" I announce, taking a bite. The flaky pastry, the creamy filling—out of this world. I can already tell this is going to be the most demanded flavor.

"Renren, can I have a bite?" Honey suddenly appears, his eyes locked on my mooncake, lips drooling.

I hand it over after one bite, watching his eyes roll back in bliss. Of course, Yuyu and Lan grab their pieces too. Bear, who can’t reach, rubs against my leg and whines, looking up at me with those big eyes.

And then, just like that, I’m rewarded with three kisses from three little troublemakers. "They’re so cute!" I chuckle, feeling my heart melt.

"Cute? Keep mine for two days, and by the third day, you’ll throw them back at my place and go on a long holiday," Meimei teases, rolling her eyes.

"I only have one, but trust me, he keeps my hands full. Honey is a firecracker!" Suyin says, her eyes narrowing in mock exhaustion. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"I’d love to have another, but right now, my priorities are my body and my premature baby," Ning says. I press a hand on her, squeezing gently. Meimei adds hers, a silent show of support.

"I’m so happy your little one is doing better. Just wait, soon he’ll join this team of devils," Meimei joke, making everyone laugh.

"What about you, Vivian?" Suyin asks, glancing over at her. But Vivian’s attention is elsewhere, focused entirely on Zian. Her mooncake sits at just one bite.

Gosh, they look adorable and so in love.

"V-I-V-I-A-N!" I call. Her head snaps up, cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"We know Zian’s handsome, but is there a reason you two aren’t looking at anything else today?"

Vivian shakes her head frantically, and I catch a glimpse of a hickey on the underside of her jaw. I point at it with a mischievous grin. "Understood."

Vivian slaps my shoulder lightly, then answers, "I want two kids. What about you?"

All eyes turn to me, waiting for some profound answer. The pressure’s on.

"I—I..." I start to say, but the words don’t come out right. I’m not getting married or having kids. But I can’t say that. I’m supposed to keep up the act of being Jun’s serious girlfriend. Serious equals marriage plans... and all that.

"I don’t know. Haven’t really planned for it yet," I say, hoping it sounds convincing.

The air shifts. The fun, light atmosphere suddenly feels heavy, like I’ve said something wrong.

"Too early for that," I quickly add, trying to steer the conversation back on track.

Meimei, bless her heart, swoops in to save me. "Oh yes, you two should just enjoy the time together. This period is the most precious."

"Totally," Suyin agrees. "Courting period is basically honeymoon period."

"With lots of sex and snuggles," Vivian says, and suddenly, all jaws drop, our eyes popping wide in surprise.

"Look at that! Vivian talking about sex and snuggles!" Suyin laughs.

Vivian shrugs nonchalantly, "I’m not that shy. You all underestimate me too much. FYI, I have a smutty book too."

Meimei leans forward, dropping her voice to a whisper. "Just a book?"

Vivian covers her face with her palm, then points a finger at me. "She gifted me one. But I’m too scared to open it."

"WHAT?" A collective gasp rings out.

"I want one too," Meimei says, grinning.

"Me too," Suyin adds, clearly intrigued.

"Me three," Ning chimes in.

"Ning, you already have many."

"So what? The more the better."

And just like that, I’m already mentally calculating how many more I have to buy. Looks like I’ll be gifting three more... Love it when women want to explore. Speaking of which, I pull out my phone.

"We should form a group. ’The Crazy Bitches.’ We can share whatever we want—ideas, experiences... even the naughty stuff," I suggest, already excited at the thought.

"TOTALLY."

I excuse myself for the washroom. Just as I reach the door, it swings open, and a man steps in.

"Excuse me, this is the ladies’ restroom—" he presses a palm to my lips, cornering me against the door. My head slams into the wood, pain shooting through me.

Chris.

"What are you doing here?" I demand, anger rising.

"Finally, we meet," he mutters, his breath heavy with alcohol, words slurring as they brush against my ear. "I’ve been trying to see you, but it’s so difficult with that asshole’s guards watching you all the time."

I frown, confused. "What are you talking about?"

"Oh, so you don’t know," he sneers, his lips dangerously close to mine. "Jun has his men following you everywhere."

My stomach drops. I don’t know about this. Jun didn’t tell me anything. I look at Chris, trying to mask my panic.

"So what? He’s my boyfriend. He’s just being protective of me," My voice shaky but defensive. I’ll talk to Jun later, but right now... this isn’t about that.

"What are you doing here? Let me go—"

"Shhh," he presses harder against me, his body flush against mine, making my skin crawl. "You have no idea the effort I’ve put in to see you. I even had to pretend to care about that desperate food influencer—whatever her name is."

"I don’t care. Just let me go," I push, but he locks my wrist behind me, pinning me in place.

"Oh, Yiren," his words dripping with disdain. "Stop pretending. Fine, you won. Now come back to me... I know you miss me too."

"I don’t. Move on, Chris, and leave me alone."

"The hell I will," he snarls. "I know men like Jun aren’t your type. Hell, you’re not his type either." He presses his knee between my legs, spreading them. "Remember the good times we had? The private cruise... we couldn’t keep our hands off each other."

My stomach churns. "That cruise was a nightmare. You locked me in a room when you saw your parents. You were terrified they’d find out about me and cut you off from your business and property."

"I’ve changed!" he says, his tone almost pleading now. "I have my business now. I have everything. Come back to me, Yiren. I’ll marry you."

"I’m not interested," I hiss, squirming. "Go find someone else."

Desperation claws at me as I search for anything to defend myself—anything to make noise. Why is no one coming? This is a washroom.

Just as I’m about to give up hope, a knock echoes through the bathroom door.

Chris presses his hand firmly over my mouth, his body locking mine against him with an iron grip. He hoists me up, dragging me into a nearby cubicle and slamming the door shut. He locks the latch, pinning me to the toilet seat, securing my legs and arms with terrifying strength.

I can’t move. I can’t scream. He’s built well.

I try to reach for my phone in pocket... and fumbles with some button...
