"You almost did," Kael said.

"You feel it clearly now," Vaelor said.

Kael stepped forward immediately, placing himself more firmly between Ariana and Vaelor as lightning flickered faintly across his arm. "You don’t get to speak to her," he said, his voice low and controlled.
