"Is there a solution? What kind of solution?" Tobirama asked, stepping in for Hashirama. He didn't trust Zixu entirely, even if they were technically on the same side. Just because someone's not an enemy doesn't mean they're a good person.
"Calm down, will you?" Zixu replied coolly, trying to settle the Second Hokage's rising irritation. He wasn't about to promise success—but he wasn't reckless, either.
Despite his temper, Tobirama was an experienced strategist. He quickly regained his composure, realizing that Zixu wouldn't speak so confidently without a solid reason. That didn't mean the plan wouldn't backfire, though—and if it did, they'd all be dragged down with him.
Still, in the current situation, there was no staying neutral. Tobirama had no choice but to look at the bigger picture—this was about the future of the ninja world.
Zixu saw the flicker of understanding in Tobirama's eyes and continued.
"We need to hold Madara back and create a chance to seal him," Zixu explained. The plan wasn't complex, but it relied on perfect timing.
Minato listened carefully. It was supposedly his first time meeting Zixu, but something about the man felt strangely familiar. That sense of déjà vu made him less resistant to working together.
Once the rough outline was settled, they sprang into action. Simple plans work best in chaos. All they had to do was fight and survive long enough for the opening.
Madara, meanwhile, was livid. His Infinite Tsukuyomi had been interrupted, and now they wanted to challenge him?
Fine. He'd play along.
Inspired by the earlier moon-based attack, he prepared to unleash that devastating jutsu again—only stronger this time.
The sky darkened ominously. A suffocating pressure blanketed the battlefield, as if some unseen force were watching them, crushing their lungs and pinning their bodies to the ground.
Onoki, still maintaining the sealing formation, recognized the signs instantly. His voice cracked as he yelled, "He's summoning meteorites again! Stop him, now!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Zixu and the others reacted immediately, but with his hands now free, Madara moved even more freely. His power was overwhelming. The meteorite this time wasn't as large as the moon, but it was far closer—an enormous shadow eclipsed the sky, and the sheer mass pressed down on everyone like judgment itself.
Madara had been careful, though. He didn't want to destroy the sacred tree along with his enemies, so he summoned a "small" meteorite.
But he wasn't the only one with tricks up his sleeve.
Chinano—newly awakened to the Tenseigan—refused to stand by. With practiced ease, she controlled gravity and repulsion like puppets on strings. The moment the meteorite entered range, she wrapped it in an immense gravitational field and flung it back into the heavens like a slingshot.
Madara's attacks were falling apart. He couldn't believe it.
Fury overtook him. Purple lightning danced around his body, and he charged forward, his Truth-Seeking Staff crackling with destructive energy. He aimed to erase them all in one devastating strike.
CLANG!
The staff met resistance. For the first time, the indestructible Truth-Seeking staff was blocked—by a plain, brutal-looking mace.
Zixu stood there, muscles straining, gripping the mace with both hands. A strange energy—not chakra—pulsed from the weapon. It was raw, brutal, and unyielding, holding off Madara's godlike weapon.
Madara narrowed his eyes. "Impossible. Only someone with Six Paths power should be able to resist this."
Zixu had no trace of Six Paths energy. His chakra was... different, yes, but not divine.
Then something caught Madara's eye. A blood groove ran along the mace. Chains burst from it, wrapping around his body.
The other Kage pounced at once, surrounding Madara in a coordinated strike.
Madara snarled. "Tricks. Insect tricks. Do you really think—?"
But he stopped.
The chains weren't ordinary. They were imbued with Sage energy. Some invisible force suppressed his power, making it impossible to break free immediately.
Zixu didn't waste time. He activated the Eight Gates Technique. His version was unstable—he didn't know which gate he opened, only that if he stayed like this too long, he'd die.
His blood boiled, literally, steam pouring off his body as space warped around him. Obito tried to step in, but the battlefield was sealed. He could only watch.
Madara sensed it too. The air trembled with the pressure of Zixu's power. Instead of fear, Madara grinned—wild, ecstatic.
"Incredible... That aura alone is overwhelming. Fine! I, Uchiha Madara, acknowledge you as the strongest in taijutsu!"
Zixu didn't hear him.
The chains around the mace strained under the pressure. Before they could snap, Zixu moved.
He vanished.
In the blink of an eye, he appeared before Madara, red eyes burning, muscles rippling. He swung the mace down in a brutal arc.
SPLAT.
Flesh tore. Bones shattered. Madara's body exploded into fragments, crumbling like a statue hit with a sledgehammer. The force sent his body flying, tracing a blurred line through the air.
Zixu collapsed, color drained from his face. His body was covered in spiderweb-like cracks, tiny wounds that refused to heal. He looked like broken glass, fragile and terrifying.
It was a devastating blow.
But was it enough?
"If this were the old Madara, he'd have died a dozen times by now," Hashirama said grimly. "Even with Six Paths power, this kind of damage should've finished him."
Unless...
"...That was powerful," came a weak voice from the distance.
Madara was still alive.
His voice trembled, barely audible, but unmistakably real.
"To suffer such a wound... That was strong. Very strong..."
Zixu smiled faintly. There was no despair in that smile. In fact, it carried a quiet pride.
"You're still breathing, huh? Good," came a cheerful, feminine voice from behind Madara.
Hatsuizumi appeared like a ghost, her presence silent and sharp. In her hand, a single cuff—glowing with sealing power—snapped shut around Madara's wrist.
He didn't even realize she was there until it was too late.
