"Sniper team, get ready. We'll handle the enemies above," Chinano ordered.

A dozen Hyuga clan members stepped forward, gripping their polished sniper rifles. The barrels gleamed with a dark, cold luster, wiped clean in preparation for battle.

"Uzumaki Karin is bringing the medical team to provide immediate rescue. We'll save as many people as possible," Chinano continued.

"The rest of you, go and provide support, but prioritize your own safety. Move out!"

With her calm but firm orders, the squads quickly sprang into action. The sniper team led by Chinano aimed their rifles at the sky, tracking Deidara's movements, ready to fire at any moment.

The medical team, led by Karin, split into two units. One team followed Karin onto the battlefield to offer direct support, while the other remained on standby, ready to receive the wounded.

Meanwhile, the Bug Squad, led by Aburame Hatsuizumi, handled reconnaissance and detection. Karin would also assist when necessary. Their mission was to locate the source of the chakra threads controlling the puppets. Once the source was dealt with, the battle would become significantly easier.

The combat team, commanded by Haku and Gaara, took on the brunt of the fight. Though Chinano warned Gaara that the Akatsuki members were clearly targeting him, he stubbornly insisted on joining the battlefield. With a sigh, she relented. She wasn't one to impose her ideals of "protecting others" on anyone. People had the right to make their own decisions and bear the consequences, whether good or bad.

The squads moved swiftly, fanning out and officially entering the fray.

The ninjas trapped inside the birdcage weren't weaklings who would simply wait for death. Naruto, who had already mastered Sage Mode and Rasengan, was among them. Then there was Sasuke—a handsome, muscular powerhouse, capable of moving with lethal grace. The ninjas selected by each village for the tournament were far from ordinary, except perhaps for the Cloud Ninjas.

The Sand Village shinobi, who practiced orthodox puppetry, were already searching for the mastermind behind the trap.

"Judging by the attire and limb design of those puppets, this is definitely the work of Sasori of the Red Sand," one Sand ninja deduced grimly.

As experienced puppeteers, the Sand shinobi knew of Sasori's terrifying reputation. A prodigy of puppetry, his mastery far surpassed their own. Against such a genius, no puppeteer could remain confident.

But there was strength in numbers. No matter how many puppets Sasori controlled, he was still alone. Puppet fragments rained down like shards of broken glass, and the number of active puppets gradually decreased.

"There! I found him!" Sasuke shouted.

After tearing a puppet apart with his bare hands, he spotted Sasori's chakra threads with the aid of his Sharingan. Having trained under Tsunade, Sasuke's medical knowledge enhanced his chakra perception skills. Following the direction of the threads, he quickly pinpointed Sasori's location.

Shirtless, his muscular frame gleaming with sweat, Sasuke charged forward. The Chidori sparked in his hand, illuminating the battlefield with its electric glow. Without hesitation, he hurled the Chidori Spear (Chidori Eiso), aiming directly at Sasori.

The puppet armor Hiruko—the crimson scorpion-shaped puppet Sasori used to conceal himself—took the hit. The Chidori pierced its arm, leaving it damaged. However, Sasori skillfully adjusted his position, ensuring that no critical components were destroyed, minimizing the damage.

Attracted by Sasuke's shout, the nearby shinobi turned their attention toward Sasori. With cold, vengeful glares, they surrounded him.

"Tch, I've been found," Sasori muttered dryly.

Hiruko scuttled across the ground like a giant scorpion. Its tail needle swayed menacingly, rattling like a serpent's tail in warning.

"Brothers, this is an Akatsuki thief! How can we show mercy to a murderer like him?" one of the Sand shinobi roared.

Grief-stricken victims of Sasori's puppet experiments filled the crowd. Their blood boiled with hatred. With a vengeful cry, they launched their attacks.

The birdcage in the sky stopped expanding, condensing into a spinning chakra sphere high above. Its purpose was unknown, but the shinobi focused all their rage on the enemy before them.

Even though they had consumed most of their chakra in previous attacks, they poured every last drop of strength into their techniques.

Under the rain of ninjutsu, Hiruko's limbs shattered and burned. The puppet's armor cracked under the relentless assault.

Boom!

After the final explosion, only a black sphere remained at the center of the battlefield. Hiruko was gone—reduced to nothing.

The black sphere was a perfect, polished orb, its surface rippling with metallic particles, almost like a piece of fine art.

Before anyone could react, the sphere rapidly expanded. Like a balloon inflating in an instant, it burst with a thunderous bang.

Countless tiny iron spikes shot out in all directions. Those too slow to react were skewered, their bodies reduced to bloodied sieves. Even those who managed to defend themselves felt the terrifying force, their hands trembling from the impact.

The iron sand dissipated, revealing Sasori's true form—a young man with striking red hair. From his hands extended ten chakra threads, manipulating his most powerful puppet.

The puppet was no ordinary creation. It had flowing blue hair and wore a black robe. Though now a mere puppet, its once-proud features were still visible.

The puppet opened its mouth, spitting out black iron sand—Satetsu (Iron Sand). The deadly technique it had unleashed earlier originated from this puppet.

"No way... that's the strongest Kazekage in history! The Third Kazekage!" a Sand ninja shouted in disbelief.

Rumored to have gone missing, the Third Kazekage had become a puppet in Sasori's arsenal. The Sand shinobi were consumed with rage and sorrow.

"You bastard! Aaah!" a Sand ninja roared in fury, his voice cracking with grief.

Enraged, the Sand shinobi charged. With their chakra nearly depleted, they poured everything they had left into their attacks, determined to avenge their fallen Kazekage.
