The sacred tree of the ninja world was no different. It was brought long ago by a woman from beyond the stars, fulfilling her mission without hesitation. But she never expected her own two sons to betray her, sympathize with this pitiful planet, and seal her away.

Before being sealed, she bore a final son. She knew the seal was not eternal. One day, she would awaken, and when that day came, she would return to the ninja world and repay her suffering—twice over.

Zixu clone (the one with nika fruit), nurtured by Black Zetsu, was now separate from his own memories. In a way, he had become Black Zetsu's nemesis. The immense energy inside him was on the verge of overflowing, each heartbeat pounding like a war drum. Flames wrapped around Black Zetsu's body, a twisted smile stretched across his lips, but his heart was cold as ice.

"So in the end, this is the power you rely on?" Black Zetsu sneered, dodging Zixu's wind blade—though he couldn't avoid the moon blades that sliced into him, leaving shallow wounds.

Zixu didn't reply. The pressure on him was mounting fast, especially with the reincarnated Madara in play. The man used his immortal body to summon meteorites as if they cost nothing. Several had already been blocked by Roran and the Whirlpool Country, but he showed no signs of stopping. One by one, he dragged celestial stones from the heavens, ready to crush everything.

If they didn't deal with him soon, the entire ninja world would be reduced to ash.

It seemed Kabuto had struck some kind of deal with Rosinante. The Kages, who had been attacking Madara and the masked man, suddenly redirected their attacks—toward Black Zetsu and Zixu instead. At the same time, Madara felt a strange force pulling at him. The caster of the Impure World Reincarnation technique was trying to suppress him.

"You still don't understand why Impure World Reincarnation is forbidden, do you?" Madara said calmly, his smirk unwavering. A white light radiated from his body as the dust-bound flesh began to crumble. His form flickered, on the verge of collapse.

The rain of meteorites ceased. It looked, for a moment, like Madara might return to the underworld.

But in a flash, his hands performed hundreds of seals. His crumbling form stabilized, shedding the filthy, dead body—and reclaiming life in full.

"So this is what it feels like... to be alive again." Madara flexed his fingers, felt the warmth in his chest, and burst into manic laughter.

From the shadows, the masked man reappeared. In his hand, a bloody Sharingan. Without hesitation, he pressed it into his eye socket. It merged seamlessly, as if it had always belonged there.

Zixu suddenly staggered, feeling space itself distort beside him. He tried to dodge, but a chunk of flesh was torn from his side by the spatial vortex. The pain was real.

Above them, the Floatin Country's laser cannon had been charging for what felt like ages. A continuous flow of chakra—gathered from the Impure World Reincarnated and the city's residents—fed into Roran chakra cannon had also reached full capacity.

Zixu didn't hesitate. He gave the remote command. In an instant, a terrifying burst of electromagnetic laser and chakra torrent swallowed everything—including himself.

Hatsuizumi and the others hadn't joined the battle directly, which meant Zixu only had himself to protect. But he underestimated his own technology. The overwhelming heat melted his lava shell in seconds. Desperately, he formed another shell, over and over again. Meanwhile, countless chains shot from his body, wrapping around both the newly resurrected Madara and the masked man.

He couldn't land a blow on the masked man, but at least he could restrict the surrounding space. And he couldn't ignore the imposter in front of him—Black Zetsu.

Yet Black Zetsu just grinned.

"System, add some..."

A familiar white glow surrounded him. The wounds across his body vanished instantly. Even the air around him warped and twisted, taking on rubbery properties to shield him from the ongoing blasts.

"It was you..." Zixu's eyes narrowed, locking onto Black Zetsu. "How long have you been planning this?"

Chains surged, binding Black Zetsu tighter.

"Ever since you met Orochimaru. That bastard's been targeting you from the start."

Even Black Zetsu didn't know what Orochimaru had truly done to his body.

Meanwhile, Madara's Susanoo was breaking apart. But from the surrounding destruction, giant trees burst forth—alive and brimming with vitality. They formed a barrier, shielding him from the laser cannon. Madara had the cells of the First Hokage. Wood Release was his to command.

The masked man remained partially intangible, his form flickering. But it was clear he couldn't hold it much longer. He was starting to fall apart.

The remains of the Gedo Statue had been reduced to ash by the blast, but beneath it, a sapling remained. Unscathed. It was absorbing Roran's chakra like nourishment, growing stronger with every second.

The white light faded. The chaos finally settled. The battlefield was nothing but churned-up earth and flying debris. Of those still standing, none were unharmed.

Zixu returned to his usual form. The blood had evaporated off his body, but a steady drip still came from the wound in his chest.

The masked man's faceplate shattered. Zixu didn't recognize him. His robes had been shredded, revealing the grotesque half-mangled body beneath.

Madara fared better, but even his crimson armor was in tatters. His long hair had been singed and curled up, giving him a look reminiscent of his younger, short-haired days.

And yet, Black Zetsu looked nearly untouched. The white flames danced around him, and only light scratches marked his skin.

The sapling continued to grow in silence. No one moved. No one spoke. They all needed time to recover.

Night crept over the horizon. For reasons unknown, the moon turned crimson. Roots and branches began to grow from its surface.

Madara was at it again.

With the First Hokage's cells beating in his chest, he wielded Wood Release effortlessly. The question was—was he using it to eliminate Zixu, or was something more sinister unfolding?

Sharp wooden spikes erupted from the ground, launching straight toward Zixu. He took to the air, not keen on being turned into a human pincushion.

But Madara wasn't acting alone. The one he called Obito moved beside him, unleashing powerful ninjutsu in tandem.

Flames engulfed the wooden spikes, transforming the battlefield into a blazing inferno.

Black Zetsu drew back his arm like a taut slingshot, chakra surging through his frame, and then launched his fist straight at Zixu...
