Tendo Pain (Tendō Pain) felt something strange. Logically, no one should have been able to approach him while he was using Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push) at full power. Yet, the fact remained — Zixu rushed forward despite the terrifying repulsive force.

"Oh, how foolish for mortals to think they can fight gods with their own power," Pain said coldly, waving his hand, his whole body forming a grand stance.

Zixu felt the repulsive force on his body growing heavier and heavier, as if he were a piece of stubborn steel being crushed under a massive hydraulic press.

"This is interesting..." Zixu grinned. It was rare for him to feel true pressure — a good thing, as it allowed him to push himself further.

Invisible power erupted from Zixu's body, and when it collided with Pain's Shinra Tensei, black and blue lightning sparks burst out.

"It's producing something similar to a clash of Conqueror's Haki," Zixu thought with excitement, looking up at the figure high above.

"Roar!"

The sound of a dragon echoed as Zixu transformed into a giant dragon without hesitation. The sky darkened, and dark blue thunderclouds condensed in the air. Unlike before, Zixu's dragon form had evolved.

Violent thunder wrapped around Zixu's body. The thunderclouds enlarged him more than three times his usual size. Mad thunder coiled around him, raging with every movement.

Zixu scooped up Pain, along with the Shinra Tensei he was releasing, wrapping them both within a massive ball of storm and lifting it high into the sky.

People on the ground, who moments earlier had been crying and fleeing, stopped and stared up in shock.

Everything happened so fast that they didn't even know what was happening. They only saw someone rush up, and then the invisible repulsive force was swallowed by black clouds rising into the sky.

"A miracle! It must be a miracle!"

Some of the desperate villagers broke down and knelt, praising the black cloud.

However, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and the others knew very well that it wasn't a miracle. They clearly saw Zixu's body hidden inside the thunderclouds.

Higher and higher Zixu flew, carrying Pain with him. The repulsive force inside intensified. Pain unleashed his full strength, tearing through parts of the thunderclouds and grinding against Zixu's dragon scales, causing Zixu to feel some pain.

"The height is about right," Zixu calculated in his mind.

When he judged it sufficient, the thunderclouds around his body suddenly discharged all their electricity. Violent thunder, turning from blue to black, rained down on Pain without reservation.

"Even if the one controlling this puppet is strong, being this high up will definitely affect them," Zixu muttered.

Sure enough, Pain's resistance inside the thunderclouds grew weaker and weaker.

"It is foolish to attempt to challenge God,"

Pain muttered. His clothes were almost completely destroyed by the thunder, exposing his upper body — still riddled with black chakra receivers.

Zixu heard him loud and clear. The other's superior, detached tone, treating everyone else like insects, made Zixu feel extremely irritated.

The thunderclouds dispersed as a small black ball was launched above Pain, absorbing the surrounding clouds.

"Chibaku Tensei (Planetary Devastation)!"

Pain clasped his hands together, not in prayer but to execute the technique.

Zixu spotted the small black sphere and immediately thought of destroying it. Without hesitation, he shifted into his human-beast form and swung his black lightning-wrapped mace at it from afar.

"Vajra Dysphorus!"

A beam of condensed energy shot from the mace, piercing through the thunderclouds and striking the small black ball directly.

Despite the small black ball's tremendous gravitational pull, the beam penetrated the clouds unhindered, shattering the ball in an instant.

Zixu then rushed forward atop his flame cloud, closing the distance to Pain.

"Stupid... God is—"

Pain tried to speak, but before he could finish, Zixu appeared in front of him.

The Shinra Tensei, which had always been invincible, was useless at this moment.

Zixu pressed Pain's head down with one hand. Golden chains burst out from his back, and tadpole-like sealing marks spread from his hand onto Pain's body. Pain lost all bodily control, helpless like a fish on a chopping board, awaiting slaughter.

Zixu smiled kindly, almost harmlessly.

"You call yourself a god? High and mighty? Hah..."

Pain, pinned down against the flame cloud, showed no signs of repentance and continued speaking shamelessly, attempting to justify himself.

"I said, only through experiencing pain can one understand peace. By preventing me from capturing the tailed beasts, you're obstructing true peace."

"I don't care about your ideals, and don't waste your breath trying to persuade me," Zixu said calmly. "World peace? Easy.

Eliminate your Akatsuki organization, gradually weaken the power of the Five Great Nations, and establish a single, unified state.

Even if the peace achieved is temporary, it's better than mindlessly exporting terrorism."

While chatting and laughing, Zixu pulled a black chakra receiver out of Pain's body.

For the first time, Pain's stoic face showed an expression of surprise. He looked at Zixu with astonishment.

"You... You're crazier than I am."

"Right back at you," Zixu replied casually, cutting his palm with the black nail.

A cold, powerful chakra surged from the black nail. As expected, the black receivers acted like chakra threads controlling the Six Paths of Pain remotely.

"Controlling six puppets, each this powerful... It requires an immense amount of chakra," Zixu analyzed calmly.

Pain remained silent.

Sensing the chakra's direction, Zixu vaguely pinpointed the controller's general location.

"You can't convince anyone through puppets. Come out and meet me. I'll be there soon," Zixu said with a smile as he placed multiple seals on Pain for insurance.

He then sensed for the Flying Thunder God (Hiraishin no Jutsu) mark he had left earlier and activated the technique.

Jiraiya and the others watched the sky, where the thunderclouds had long dissipated, and the two figures had disappeared. Everyone held their breath, waiting for the outcome.

However, Zixu's Flying Thunder God technique went slightly wrong. Instead of appearing back at Ichiraku Ramen, he landed right beside Jiraiya, covered in dust and grime.

Cough cough cough!

"What an accident..."

Zixu coughed as he emerged from the smoke. Despite the intense earlier battle only leaving a few scratches, he now looked a mess.

Seizing the moment, he moved closer to Jiraiya.

"This guy's been handled. I'm heading over to check the source of the problem now. Just say Naruto defeated him.

Consider it me repaying a favor to Minato."

Before Jiraiya could respond, Zixu vanished, leaving him stunned.

"Repaying Minato's favor? How does he owe Minato a favor?"
