While Hidan was momentarily stunned, the clone slashed him again with the blade carried by the wind. But the cut wasn't deep. Due to an awkward angle, the strike only grazed Hidan's skin, causing no serious injury.

"Ahhhhhhhh! You bastard... How dare you hurt me?!" Hidan screamed in pain. Sure, he was immortal, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel pain—and his tolerance wasn't anything special. In fact, it might've been worse than a normal person's.

This trait was similar to Blackbeard, but while Blackbeard had patience and ambition, Hidan lacked both. And though Hidan had incredible regeneration and immortality, Blackbeard didn't.

"If I even scratch you, you're screwed," Hidan growled. He pulled out the pitch-black spear from his back and charged at the clone with slightly disoriented steps.

"Why do people keep running into my sword?" the clone said, flipping his hair in a showy manner. At that moment, the chaotic wind around him suddenly became organized, moving exactly according to his will. The air itself seemed to come alive.

Hidan, who was charging forward, suddenly felt something push from behind—while another force pulled him ahead.

"It's the wind... something's wrong with the wind..." Even someone as impulsive as Hidan could sense the change. The invisible currents around him acted like a massive unseen hand, forcing him straight into the clone's blade.

"Don't f*ckin' look down on me!" Hidan shouted, swinging his black spear to block the attack like a staff.

"When it comes to staff play, I've seen people way better than you," the clone sneered beneath his mask. As their weapons clashed, the clone's blade slid diagonally and then swept horizontally again in a fluid motion.

"Guy might be easy to beat, but he's fragile. I need to finish this quick," the clone muttered. He wasn't worried about this fight—but he was worried about the Three-Tails situation.

Turns out, things were worse than expected. Even though Guren's Crystal Release was strong—both offensively and defensively—and she could even crystallize people, her opponent's ability was damn near broken. It resembled some kind of virtual space phasing, and she hadn't even managed to touch him since the fight started.

At this point, Tobi—who previously looked silly and clumsy—now wore a cold, terrifying expression. He grabbed Youkimaru by the throat with one hand and made gestures on his forehead with the other.

Youkimaru looked like he was on the verge of suffocating. His face turned purple and blue, and he frantically clawed at Tobi's arm, struggling for breath.

"Isn't he the Three-Tails' Jinchūriki? Does that mean he can summon the Three-Tails himself?" As Tobi's fingers moved more rapidly, pain spread across Youkimaru's face. His memories felt like a book being shredded. Pages were ripped out without care—important moments violently torn out and irrelevant ones shredded to pieces.

Youkimaru's mind collapsed. His consciousness was erased. Even his breathing turned shallow and erratic.

"You... bastard... stop it!!" Guren screamed, her voice full of heartbreak. Her chakra was completely drained, and she was barely holding on.

"I want you to die..." she said suddenly—her tone frighteningly calm.

"Inochi to Shi no Tenketsu" (Life and Death Acupoint Technique).

Even with a broken leg, Guren pressed a pressure point on her body. An intense wave of life energy exploded from her chest—not like the Eight Inner Gates, which removed chakra limitations—but a different kind of secret art. This technique converted her very vitality into chakra—a true life-for-chakra gamble.

A giant crystal dragon erupted from the ground around her, its body glowing brighter than ever—so red, it looked like it was formed from blood itself.

The dragon roared and blasted a wave of scarlet shards toward Tobi. As expected, he didn't resist—simply turning intangible and slipping away. Youkimaru, freed from his grasp, dropped like a ragdoll.

As the red crystal shards reached him, they softened and formed a large net—gently catching his falling body.

"Hmph. Doesn't matter. The objective's complete," Tobi muttered before vanishing completely.

Guren didn't care where he went. All that mattered was Youkimaru.

But something was wrong.

His face remained twisted in agony, and his body curled up tightly, trembling. Massive chakra poured from his body in an uncontrollable surge. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

The chakra burst upward like a beacon of light piercing the sky.

Even the clone and Hidan—still fighting—noticed the phenomenon and stopped.

"Looks like I did it. Hahahaha! The Three-Tails is coming!" Hidan's face twisted with excitement. Even in his miserable condition—one arm missing—he sounded terrifying.

"Hahahahaha, we won! So what if you're strong?!" Hidan cackled, taunting the clone.

But the clone didn't react. He knew he couldn't afford even one mistake, while his opponent could afford many.

Without hesitation, he kicked Hidan aside and sprinted toward the lake—where the Three-Tails slept.

The lake had once looked serene, a mirror between water and sky.

Now it was shattered. The surface was quaking, and violent ripples spread out like shockwaves.

The sky turned dark as clouds rolled in. Fog oozed out from the trees. Within seconds, the entire forest was wrapped in mist so thick, you couldn't even see your own hand.

A faint wind pushed through the fog. The clone finally glimpsed what was happening on the water.

As expected—the Three-Tails had awakened.

It was a monstrous turtle covered in thick, thorn-like scales and three massive tails. Its entire body was sheathed in gray-white armor, with stubby limbs that made it look slow—but it was anything but.

Its head was shielded by pitcher-plant-shaped plating that guarded its eyes. One of them was shut tight—likely a result of an old injury.

But this seemingly slow beast was losing its mind. It thrashed wildly in the water. The lake twisted with it, spinning into a furious cyclone of waves centered around its body.

The vortex was growing rapidly—looking like it wouldn't stop until every drop of water was consumed.

Its one visible eye gleamed crimson with madness.

The Three-Tails had gone berserk.
