He felt a faint tremor through the hilt and pulled the blade back—but there was no blood.

"That strike definitely landed. The bastard didn't have time to use any ability... so why isn't there any blood?"

A low groan escaped the masked man's lips as he reached behind him to grasp the strange weapon on his back.

"It's useless... My heart is already hollow..."

The Wind Swordsman didn't wait. He summoned a solid barrier of wind around himself. The shield was tight and compact, enhancing its defense. Yet even with that protection, he was flung backward by the masked man's sudden lunge.

It was as if the masked man had torn through space itself. His eerie weapon pierced the wind barrier with ease and struck the swordsman directly—rendering the defense completely ineffective.

Meanwhile, the Jinchūriki that had been previously restrained broke free and gathered behind the masked man. Their transformations into Tailed Beasts were deepening. But Uzumaki Zixu noticed something strange—the Three-Tails' Jinchūriki's beast cloak was far weaker than the others.

"Too weak... Even overwhelming power can bring a false sense of peace."

There was no point in prolonging the fight. Those hiding in the shadows understood that too, and they released their Impure World Reincarnated shinobi to charge the battlefield.

The masked man also launched himself toward Zixu. When he was within fifty meters, a monstrous entity rose behind him.

A giant, towering beast emerged. Its skin was bald, dry, and cracked—like rotting old wood—but hard as steel. Thick limbs pierced the earth like javelins.

"So this is your trump card?" Zixu sneered. "Then I'll crush it and see if it's as sharp as your words!"

"Really? Then try it!" the masked man shouted.

He swung the twisted weapon at Zixu, who blocked with a mighty upward sweep of his spiked mace. Sparks flew as their weapons collided.

Perhaps because of Zixu's overwhelming presence, the masked man didn't use his typical intangibility technique. Instead, he fought head-on.

Suddenly, the masked man inhaled deeply and unleashed a stream of spiraling flame—twisting like a fire dragon. Zixu's response was instant: he brandished his mace fiercely, summoning a ghostly dragon head above him that devoured the flame dragon whole.

The masked man found no opening—Zixu was stronger than expected.

Behind them, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path roared in pain, its clawed hands grasping its own head. Jagged teeth gnashed in its perpetually open mouth, venting agony.

At the same time, the Jinchūriki had completed their full Tailed Beast transformations. Their powers surged further in the demon's presence, as pitch-black spheres of energy formed in their mouths—ready to fire.

The Five Kage launched their own attacks—golden sand, boiling mist, blinding light, and shimmering dust release—all bombarded Zixu at once. The situation was dire.

Suddenly, the Outer Path Statue let out a chilling shriek. Its spider-like eyes turned murderous, and it spat out a sphere of pitch-black mist.

The mist hit the ground and spread like a dark wave, rushing toward Zixu.

He dodged fast, but not fast enough—the edge of the mist touched him. Instantly, that part of his body weakened, as if his energy had been drained.

Then came the chains—black and vile, slithering from the statue's limbs like serpents, all aiming straight for Zixu. At the same time, six massive Tailed Beast Bombs were launched at him.

For context—just one Tailed Beast Bomb from the Nine-Tails could've leveled Konoha if not for the Fourth Hokage. Now, six were flying toward Zixu.

What was once a dense forest was now flat wasteland, sand blown across a scorched earth.

Compared to the devastation caused by the Tailed Beast Bombs, the Kages' attacks were no less deadly—nothing could survive in their path.

But Zixu didn't flinch. His physical body had long surpassed human limits. Their combined power was mighty—but so was his monstrous resilience.

Maybe Zixu's defensive stance earlier had misled them—but now, he'd show them just how wrong they were.

"Humans could squash a cockroach with their hand," Zixu said coldly, his body shifting, scales rising. "But they avoid doing it. Not because they fear the cockroach... but because it disgusts them."

He transformed again—his body becoming draconic, his gaze colder than ice.

The masked man felt a chill of unease. Though he could still phase into intangibility, he hesitated—Zixu hadn't died despite taking the full brunt of their barrage.

The blast cloud cleared.

Zixu stood there, blood dripping slowly from his body. His scales had cracked, and his body—layered in Armament Haki, Steel Release, and Lava Release—was damaged. But he stood tall.

The Tailed Beast Bombs and Dust Release had torn away his outer armor, exposing the dragon's skin beneath—but he was alive.

Bleeding. But alive.

And healing.

His wounds closed with shocking speed. In mere moments, most of his injuries vanished before their eyes.

Zixu's face twisted into a fierce grin.

Even though he had defended with all his might, the damage he took proved something—he could survive it. And now, his counterattack would be merciless.

He stared at them all.

Even the Kage and Jinchūriki trembled under his gaze.

"Dust Release is a Kekkei Tōta, formed by merging three chakra natures," Zixu said in a deep voice. "A Kekkei Genkai is formed by merging two."

"So... what happens—"

His voice echoed through the battlefield.

"—when Kekkei Genkai and Kekkei Tōta fuse?"
