The crazed Three-Tails no longer resembled its previous silly self. Its once chubby and slightly cute body now radiated a terrifying presence. Massive waves surged around the beast, with a waterspout reaching toward the sky. From afar, it looked like some celestial entity sucking up the entire lake.

Tobi had returned to his goofy self, giving a thumbs-up while hurling explosive tags into the tornado-like waterspout like they were free. Unfortunately, none of his bombs caused a splash. The waterspout's range was too massive; those tiny blasts were entirely ineffective.

"Three-Tails has gone berserk. This is bad," muttered the clone, whose long hair was blown into a tangled mess by the wind. His face was soaked with lake spray.

"We need to calm down Isobu," the clone said, dashing toward the Three-Tails. Occasionally, gusts of wind helped him speed through the forest.

Raindrops from the dispersed lakewater struck his body. Dead leaves swirled around him. An unshakable will—like the howling wind and icy water—settled deep within the clone's spirit.

Not far away, Tobi continued tossing bombs, still to no effect. To avoid being dragged in, he was now hugging a thick tree trunk, which made him look pretty ridiculous.

As the clone neared the tornado, the suction force grew stronger. It felt like an invisible tether was pulling him closer to the Three-Tails. The pressure sharpened his reflexes, allowing him to summon a blade of water as sharp as a knife. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"If I get pulled in, maybe my original body could handle it—but not this clone."

He plunged his long sword into the ground, bracing himself before resheathing it.

"Kaze (Wind)."

In an instant, the air around him shifted direction. Where the wind once pushed against him, it now flowed past him, encasing his body in a sphere of wind that shielded him from the violent external world.

Gripping his scabbard tightly with his left hand, the clone prepared for a decisive strike. His body was tense like a drawn bow. His right hand rested lightly on the sword's hilt, eyes closed.

At that moment, his awareness narrowed to three key figures: Tobi, shaking like a leaf while clinging to a tree; Youkimaru, clutching his head in agony; and Guren, her hair now mostly gray.

But before him, the clone could see only the colossal waterspout—a black and red pillar of destruction—with the Three-Tails thrashing and roaring at its center.

He opened his eyes, and for a brief moment, the wind across the land ceased.

The clone charged forward like a tiger descending a mountain. It was a visually stunning contrast: the monstrous tornado devouring the lake, its waters dyed black and crimson with shattered rocks and fish bones, versus a lone warrior with a single blade.

From afar, the clone's figure nearly vanished against the backdrop of chaos. Yet he advanced fearlessly.

He drew his sword.

"Arashi no Ichigeki (Wild Wind Slash)!"

The blade swept sideways, then lifted and slashed downward in one smooth motion. At lightning speed, the sword was resheathed. The clone spun clockwise, reversed his grip, and struck again, using his momentum to unleash another slash.

He wasn't done yet.

The clone flickered above the storm, suspended mid-air. From his vantage, the Three-Tails was clearly visible beneath him. With sharp, precise strikes, he slashed multiple times in mid-air. His blade—imbued with wind chakra and Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki)—emitted black and blue shockwaves.

After unleashing every bit of strength, the clone dove, delivering a final diagonal cut to the back of the tornado. He landed smoothly on the lakeshore, sheathing his sword without looking back.

A real shinobi never looks back.

The wind resumed its flow, but oddly, the tornado appeared frozen—like it had forgotten to spin. Then, a thunderous boom erupted.

The tornado cracked and burst, like a glass sculpture slammed into a grinder filled with nails and gravel. Though strange to describe, it shattered like tempered safety glass.

The clone's slashes had embedded wind chakra into the tornado, destroying it from the inside out.

The black and red twister burst like a blooming black rose. Water exploded behind the clone in an elegant yet chaotic display. At the center, the stunned Three-Tails remained still—uncomprehending of how the massive vortex had suddenly vanished.

With the suction gone, Tobi lost his grip and tumbled to the ground. He bounced up, rubbing his sore backside.

"Handsome! Damn handsome! This guy's way more reliable than that lunatic Hidan!" he praised, flashing twin thumbs-ups like a fanboy.

"Oi, I'm still here, you bastard!" snarled Hidan, whacking Tobi with his severed arm and sending him spinning through the air.

"Where are those two losers?" Hidan asked, referring to Guren and Youkimaru.

"No clue. Since Isobu's already out, they don't matter anymore," Tobi said while scratching his head.

The clone, drained from his fierce assault, sat cross-legged with his sword resting in his lap.

"Maybe we could take advantage of this mess... but it might be tough." He eyed Tobi and Hidan, already regrouping and closing in.

But fate had other plans.

Just as the clone focused on his strategy to deal with these two troublesome enemies—he felt a sudden, sharp pain in his arm.

The ultimate enemy of mankind: a mosquito.

"I hate mosquitoes. One day, I'll wipe them all off the face of the earth..."

With that, the clone knew what came next. Who would've guessed a shinobi strong enough to slice through a tornado would fall to a mosquito?

"I'll talk to Aburame Hatsuizumi about this later..."

And with a puff of smoke, the clone disappeared into the forest.

Meanwhile, Kisame had been nearly broken during interrogation—only a final opportunity was needed to get him to cooperate. Zixu also felt his chakra returning, along with fragments of memories surfacing.

"Isobu? Hidan and some masked weirdo with possible schizophrenia? Hah... things just got interesting..."
