"Do you still want to fight? Come on, if you're not afraid of having your office smashed to pieces."
Zixu showed no fear in the face of the Raikage. It wasn't as if he lacked the strength to take him down single-handedly. He had invited them here only to avoid unnecessary conflict with Kumogakure later.
He had poured his blood and sweat into building the Whirlpool Country from the ground up—he wasn't about to let anyone tear it down. But if they forced his hand, he wouldn't mind taking on the entire shinobi world alone.
"You bastard..." The Raikage's fists clenched tighter, his knuckles cracking. His entire body radiated barely contained rage, like a powder keg moments away from igniting.
His secretary, who had been momentarily frozen in shock, finally snapped back to reality. Seeing the Raikage on the verge of losing control, she rushed to his side and whispered urgently into his ear, trying to calm him down.
If these two monsters fought here, she had no doubt that the Raikage would be fine—but she, the office, and the entire surrounding area? They'd be reduced to rubble. For the sake of her own survival, she couldn't let this escalate any further.
Zixu didn't know what she said to the Raikage, but whatever it was, it worked. The man, who had been seconds away from lunging at him, suddenly let out a deep breath. He grabbed his discarded coat, put it back on, and placed his hat—the symbol of the Raikage—back atop his head. Without another word, he turned and walked back into his office.
The secretary let out a sigh of relief. Her uniform was soaked in sweat, as if she had just walked out of a sauna. She shot Zixu a sharp glare, then gestured for him to follow.
As for the Cloud-nin who had been tasked with leading Zixu here? He had already fainted from sheer terror, lying unconscious on the ground. Peace returned to the office.
"Boy, if I weren't the Raikage, I'd tear you apart right now," the Fourth Raikage, A, growled, settling into his chair. His voice carried residual tension, though his anger had cooled slightly.
"Oh? So you're willing to listen now?" Zixu smirked. Since there were no chairs nearby, he conjured a cloud of flame beneath him and sat down casually.
A's secretary stiffened, her expression darkening. This guy... He wasn't even trying to show respect.
"Don't test my patience. Get to the point." A's face twitched. He was certain that Zixu had a deeper motive for coming here. His raw physical power alone made him a force to be reckoned with—even without any known secret techniques. A man like this didn't just appear out of nowhere. Was he a rogue shinobi? A member of some hidden organization?
Either way, it wasn't good news.
"Then I'll be direct," Zixu said, his voice calm but firm. "I plan to establish a nation—to restore the glory of the Uzumaki Clan and rebuild Uzushiogakure."
A scoffed. "Uzushiogakure? That village was wiped out long ago. You may be strong, but do you really think you can build a nation all by yourself? What kind of fantasy world are you living in, kid? Hah! Just tell me what you really want—stop dancing around like a damn kunoichi."
He sneered at Zixu, but deep down, he knew the history of Uzushiogakure wasn't so simple. Many villages had perished in the wars, but Uzushiogakure... that was different.
The Uzumaki Clan had been a powerhouse. Their members were naturally gifted with immense chakra reserves and vitality, making them some of the strongest shinobi of their time. Their downfall wasn't due to weakness—it was because they had mastered too much.
Sealing techniques, particularly those capable of binding tailed beasts, were invaluable weapons in the shinobi world. The major villages all had their own jinchūriki, but the Uzumaki Clan controlled the means to seal them. That made them a target.
On the surface, only a few villages had participated in their destruction. But the truth? Every village had agreed to it. Once Uzushiogakure fell, their sealing techniques were scattered across the world, and the surviving clan members were absorbed into other villages.
And now, this red-haired bastard in front of him was talking about restoring it? What a joke.
But the more A looked at him, the more he realized—Zixu wasn't joking. His eyes were unwavering.
"Kumogakure was founded by the first Raikage. This is your land—you make the rules here," Zixu continued. "I have no intention of playing games. I'll be inviting the leaders of the Five Great Shinobi Villages to the founding ceremony. At the same time, we'll be hosting the 'World's Strongest Martial Arts Tournament.' The rewards will be... quite enticing. I doubt you'll refuse."
Zixu's tone remained polite, but his confidence was absolute.
A narrowed his eyes. "Oh? And what exactly are these rewards?" He wasn't an idiot. Even if this so-called 'tournament' was a sham, he'd still send people to infiltrate Uzushiogakure and gather intelligence. But for now, he wanted to see what Zixu had to offer.
Zixu casually tossed him a worn-looking book. "Here."
A caught it and raised an eyebrow. The book looked ancient, but it was actually a copy Zixu had made. It wasn't thick, but every word inside was authentic.
At first, A barely glanced at it. Kumogakure prided itself on its mastery of kenjutsu. What could some outsider possibly teach them?
But as he flipped through the pages, his smirk faded. His expression shifted from disinterest to intrigue, then to outright shock.
These weren't just any sword techniques. The principles inside were profound—even someone like him, who focused more on brute strength, could tell that this was something special.
"...This is impressive," A admitted, though he tossed the book back with forced indifference. "But it's not enough."
He folded his arms, his imposing presence pressing down on the room. A weaker man would have been crushed by the sheer weight of his chakra.
Zixu chuckled, unfazed. "Then how about this?"
He reached into his scroll and pulled out a sleek, unfamiliar object—a pistol.
Kumogakure had always been at the forefront of technological advancement. They had experimented with weapons and war machines before. And yet, A had never seen anything quite like this.
Zixu spun the pistol in his hand, casually loading it with chakra-infused rounds.
"Enough talk. Let me show you what this thing can do."
Without hesitation, he aimed directly at A and pulled the trigger.
