The stillness of space and the silence of the world made the scene unfolding before his eyes feel almost unreal. Doflamingo stared at Rosinante, who was still walking toward him slowly. He found it difficult to associate this man with the useless waste he remembered. Aside from their appearance, the two no longer seemed alike.

His threads halted a few meters away from Rosinante. Doflamingo tried to manipulate them, but they had completely slipped from his control.

Zixu cast a glance at Rosinante, who still appeared rather downcast. His opinion of him rose significantly. It seemed this guy was progressing rapidly, not slacking off as before.

"To catch a thief, you need to catch the leader first," Zixu muttered. He was quite familiar with the Impure World Reincarnation (Edo Tensei) technique. Despite its nearly infinite life, it had a critical weakness—it was vulnerable to sealing techniques.

"What kind of sealing do you like? Mummy-style or sand-ice cream style?" Zixu called out to Sasori, who was hiding behind his puppet. The red-haired puppet master was momentarily confused but would soon understand.

Sasori's mastery over puppets was unquestionable. He was the model puppeteer, among the top in the field. His puppets moved like living beings—coordinating fluidly in attack and defense.

The attacking puppet spewed flames from its mouth, while its palms turned into long hooks aimed at Zixu's throat. The defensive puppet covered its partner seamlessly, absorbing counterattacks and warming its shield with fire. Their teamwork was textbook.

Unfortunately, their opponent was Zixu.

Unfazed by the puppets, Zixu covered himself in Armament Haki (Busoshoku Haki) and shattered both puppets with a single swing of his weapon. Debris clattered to the ground—only a few moving parts remained.

"Could've added some Exploding Talismans inside," Zixu muttered, thinking back to the centipede puppets. He actually began to critique them.

Sasori, now using his own puppet body, felt no discomfort. Hooks launched from his chest, blades spun from his waist, and fireballs erupted from his mouth. He understood his body well. With the nearly immortal Hayate puppet and the support of the Third Kazekage, he managed to trade blows with Zixu for a time.

"You've got skill—but not enough." Zixu opened the Eight Inner Gates (Hachimon Tonkō). His technique was unique. Only the Ren and Du meridians were activated, but the level of control was such that it simulated opening all eight gates.

His blood boiled, blue flames erupted from his body, and his hair grew slightly. With just a shoulder shift, he vanished—and appeared right behind Sasori's main body, which had been protected by the puppet.

The kick landed like an iron whip. If Sasori still had a real body, his spine would've shattered. Luckily, being a puppet, he felt no pain.

"So fast..." Sasori's body smashed against the wall. The spot where Zixu's kick landed caved in. His puppet body began to disintegrate into paper-like fragments and dust. He twitched his fingers—the Third Kazekage puppet spewed black Iron Sand (Satetsu) from its mouth, coating Zixu.

The heavy Iron Sand dragged Zixu downward. Hayate's blade came down toward his head. Sasori's other puppets launched knives and flames from every direction. In a flash, Zixu was surrounded. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

His figure disappeared in the explosion, but moments later, he reappeared in front of Sasori, who was still embedded in the wall.

"Good effort. Still not enough." Zixu pressed his hand forward and activated a sealing technique, trapping Sasori in a sealing tag that wrapped his body.

"I..." Sasori tried to protest, but Zixu cut him off.

"When I need you later, I'll call. Be quiet for now." With that, the puppet master was sealed into a large, wrapped "dumpling."

"Classic styles really are the best," Zixu nodded, watching the remaining puppets collapse without control. It was a puppeteer's weakness—once the controller was gone, the puppets were useless.

"These things are worth money." Naturally, Zixu collected Sasori's puppets. They were battle-ready, but difficult to craft. That's why he had avoided destroying them directly in previous fights—they were assets. Breaking them always left him a little heartbroken.

While Zixu busied himself looting puppets, Rosinante was having an easier time.

Doflamingo's threads couldn't get near him. Most of his attacks were ineffective, and the battle was clearly one-sided.

Doflamingo eventually realized Rosinante couldn't use his space-freezing ability indefinitely. He only activated it when under attack, and it seemed to take a toll on him.

Zixu showed no interest in the fight, preoccupied with collecting the puppets. Doflamingo saw an opening—not to win, but to escape.

"There's no way to win this. Rosinante alone is hard enough, and that monster's waiting on the side..." Doflamingo glanced up toward the broken ceiling of the cave, where he could see the blue sky and white clouds. If he could just get out, there was still hope.

But the cave was like a birdcage. He wanted to escape—but couldn't.

The ground beneath his feet started to change. The space around him distorted. Rocks and dirt softened, transforming into... threads?

With a sweep of his arms, everything around him turned into silk threads. The surrounding space tore apart. Gravel wrapped in white thread launched at Rosinante, and Doflamingo's body sprang upward—trying to reach the cave's summit and flee.

Rosinante didn't resist. Instead, he picked up some gravel and threw it into the air. The stones stopped mid-air. He stepped onto them and launched himself upward, chasing.

But he couldn't keep up. Doflamingo, moving like Spider-Man, used his threads to climb. He had bought himself time with the white silk and still had a chance to escape.

Even Zixu had to be cautious with those awakened threads. Their properties were strange—they seemed to retain traits of the original material even after being assimilated. Predicting them was difficult.

Just as Doflamingo was about to break free, a vortex appeared before him. It opened swiftly, sucked him in, and vanished without a trace.

Zixu clicked his tongue and withdrew a nearly invisible hair-thread from the top of the cave.

"Found it, huh? Tobi, interesting."
